I have had a great experience recently with Mohawk Honda along with my family who have bought several cars from them. My most recent experience was with the service and parts department. I drive an Acura 2006 with the 'tech package' between the Schenectady NY area and Middletown NJ area (Exit 117 of Parkway weekly). This means it has the Michelin PAX Run flat tires on it. You can Google to learn more. The one rear tire got several nails in it and needed to be replaced back in August. Honda Dealers are the only ones with the equipment to change the PAX tires (again search Google). I called Mohawk Honda and got the tires ordered (both rear) to put on the car. Issue, the tires were backordered and would take 3 to 4 weeks to get here. In any case, the tires arrived about 3 weeks later and the tires were replaced the day after Labor Day and I was on the road to Jersey. The cost was less than estimated. The next week preparing to leave for NJ on Monday, one of the new tires indicated its was at 11 lbs pressure. Upon inspection, it appeared someone had used a screw gun to drive a drywall screw into the sidewall of the tire. This means no fixing the tire via any patch technology. I called Honda and they could get a tire in a day this time and I scheduled the appointment. I wasn't happy, the tires are around $450 apiece plus a mounting fee using the special equipment. So one week, one tire and another $600 (about) to fix it. September was not a good month so far. The car went in and when it was finished I got a pleasant surprise. They didn't charge for the tire, only the labor. The service manager had called and with some 'pushing' gotten the tire covered under a Honda Tire Warranty (this was nice, it was an Acura at a Honda Dealer). They went out of their way to help reduce the cost to me without really being asked. Not all dealers would have done this, and several in jersey have demonstrated that for other issues, however Mohawk Honda went the extra mile for me and I recommend them. read more

I went to Mohawk Honda looking for a used Honda Civic that had low mileage and was covered by Honda's Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program. Throughout the looking and buying process I was assisted by Tim Pilipovic. Tim was helpful, very respectful of the price cap I had to work with, and hard-working. Unable to find a car that met all of my qualifications during my first visit, he promised to keep an eye out for me as other cars arrived. The next day he called me, explaining that a used 2012 Honda Civic LX with low-mileage had come in and that it would be covered by Honda's Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program. After a test-drive, I decided to purchase it. Tim carefully walked me through all the paperwork that needed to be signed and spent a considerable amount of time showing me how all the "gadgets" in the car worked. Tim was extremely personable; he was fun to talk with, and I could tell that he really cared about finding a car that fit my needs. I just recently bought a 2015 honda civic, and for this to be my first ever car purchase, I have to say it was amazing! Prior to going to Mohawk Honda in person I checked out their website. Within a couple of days I had someone reach out to me and help with finding the car that best fit my needs. Once I got there I was set up with Linda Vasko. She was amazing! Like i said, this was my first car deal ever, so I was pretty nervous, but she was so welcoming that my nerves were put to ease. I always had this negative idea of car dealers as being sneaky and pushy, but Linda was quite the opposite. She was friendly, positive, understanding, and very truthful! She answered every question that I had, as well as ones I hadn't even thought of. Not only that, but she introduced me to about 10 other people who work there (all of which were just as welcoming). I recently took my CR-V into Mohawk Honda for a routine oil change. When I purchased the car they mentioned how they were pet friendly. I wasn't sure just how "pet-friendly" they were so when I called to make my appointment I also confirmed that it was okay for me to bring my 11 month old puppy with me. They assured me it was fine. When I checked in, I asked where I should go because I had the pup with me. He sort of laughed and then smiled and said, "Ummm, in the waiting room." I was honestly shocked that I could go right into the waiting room with my dog. He assured me that she was welcome anywhere on property. Everyone was not only welcoming but so many took the time to give her a quick pet, and even biscuits. It seems like a small thing, but for someone who already feels guilty leaving her dog to go to work, to have the ability to not leave her again on a Saturday or an evening to have your car worked on, really does mean a lot. Had a great experience at Mohawk Honda recently. I am looking to get a new vehicle in the next month or two and went to Mohawk to check out their inventory. I have only owned Toyotas and wanted to see what a Honda could offer. The staff was friendly from the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out. They were helpful, but not pushy. I dealt with Lindsey in sales.....she was informative, yet laid back. She answered my questions but did not try to pressure me into buying a car immediately. She respected the fact that I was doing some research and just looking. That is a huge plus in my book since most dealerships only seem to see the $ signs when you walk in. She gave me the space to look around, but was easily accessible. The staff was very friendly to my son and included him in the process. It was wonderful because before we went down there my husband told Ryan on the phone just what we were looking for. When we walked in the doors at MH he had a list of Pilot's and prices. He was very organized from the start. For the first time buying a car from a big dealership I cant say I would want to go anywhere else. I brought my 2023 Honda Odyssey in for a repair that was covered under warranty. The process for the repair was super smooth andI was even given a link to follow the process of my van. While it was being repaired I received a text offering to have my van appraised and I figured why not? I was given a great offer for my vehicle and then the staff found me the perfect upgrade. I worked with Jerry (Jeremiah) who helped me test drive the vehicle and answered all the questions I had. When I went home my husband had more questions but Jerry had given me his number so I texted him and he got back to me right away. This is hands down the worst dealership in the capital district! I would avoid it at all costs if you are contemplating going here. It was once the only place I would go to buy and service my Hondas. The service department does nothing but try and upsell you on everything and there is no longer the personal touch and they are no longer honest in what they say. The sales department has gone down hill since that sorry excuse for a GM took over. Plain and simple he is a bully. The Haradens (owners) should be ashamed that a character like that represents their company. Mohawk Honda was a great experience. They gave me no hassle internet pricing as I requested without the games. Once I arrived at the dealership, I was pleased once again. Even though we knew this was the right place to buy from, we did our due diligence and stopped by other dealerships. Nobody compared. We went back to Mohawk Honda and dealt with sales rep Lindsay, who was absolutely outstanding. She was not invasive, arrogant, pushy, etc like so many of the sales reps from other dealerships that we came across. Saturday June 13, 2015 was our first experience of purchasing a vehicle from Mohawk Honda. I cannot express what a wonderful experience it was. The minute we pulled into the parking lot we were greeted by an employee who immediately lead us inside to meet with the person with whom we had an appointment. As we waited the few minutes that we did we were also greeted by live entertainment, pizza, cookies and hot and cold drinks. Everyone of the staff that we came in contact with was extremely polite, friendly and all wore big smiles. My new CRV was the fourth Honda we've purchased from Mohawk. Each time the experience gets better. Camren is highly knowledgeable and friendly. Even though he was very busy, we felt we were his most important customers. Mohawk found us a better finance rate than we could get ourselves. LOVE the new car too! Great comfort, gas mileage, visibility, and sound system. When a family emergency prevented us from going back to pick up the car right away, and it languished on the lot for almost two weeks, everyone was very understanding.
