Amazing, Mojo is one of few restaurants with limited parking space in the Old Town. We sit inside instead of outside patio. I start off with Galleon's Golden Ale from a local brewery, Ancient City, not far from SR-16 and I-95. Not bad, tasted a little sweet and malty! Wife ordered her brisket with green bean and mashed potato. The brisket is smoky, flavorful and tender. My original choice was the burnt ends with Pulled pork but at last minute I opted for the Fried Catfish with coleslaw and Mac-n-Cheese. The fried catfish was juicy and not dry. Moms in town and we wanted to walk around St. Augustine. When we arrived we were all starving and I had wanted to try this place for a while so we stopped in. No one ordered drinks, other than a water, and a couple sweet teas, but my wife had some sort of Jim Beam cucumber drink and she said it was very good. BTW, I was impressed with the sweet tea; not to sweet. I ordered a cup of chili which came with cornbread. The cornbread was a little dry, but I like the jalapeño cornbread and I enjoyed it with the chili. Mom ordered the brisket plate, I ordered a two meat combo, my wife ordered a turkey plate and I my sister-in-law ordered a brisket Ruben. We were so hungry that we forgot to take pictures. My friends and I visited Mojo while visiting St Augustine. I did not take any photos because we had two children with us that decided to act a fool but trust me when I say that everything was delicious! We got a variety of dishes including the fried pickles, shrimp app (similar to a boom boom shrimp), brisket, chicken, pork, mac and cheese etc and we were all super happy with our choices. The sauces are all made in house and were all amazing, we kept the sauce that came with the fried pickles to use with our entrees. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and she didn't judge when the kids started acting crazy! Service was fast and prices were reasonable! We have been coming to MOJOs on a regular basis for about 3 years. We always go to the bar as the main restrauant is very loud. It really has changed from being a 4.5/5 star to a 2.5/3. The quality of the food seems to be consistent but portions seem a bit smaller. Drinks are solid. The biggest change is the personnel and cleaniness/basic upkeep. Personnel in bar seem to be disengaged with customers but more engaged with other staff by hanging out at one end of the bar. Basic sweeping of floors & soraying/wiping of counters seem neglected. The bathrooms were pretty messy with overflowing trash, no soap and dirty floors. Ceiling tile/lighting in women's restroom were missing. Just not the same as it was and really do wish one of our local favorite afterwork hangouts would return back. read more

Mojo doesn't play around when it comes down to BBQ! Everything from their ribs and brisket, down to their mac and cheese and coleslaw - everything was delicious! I ended up getting the salmon because I wasn't in the mood for bbq, and they asked how I wanted it cooked - that's when you know they don't mess around! I got coleslaw and mac and cheese as my sides, and a slice of jalapeño cornbread on the side. Everything came out hot and tasted really good! The other people in my party got ribs, brisket, a burger, onion rings, sweet potato mash, and green beans. They all enjoyed their food, and said they would definitely pay Mojo a visit if they were every back in St. Aug. We went to Mojo because our friends recommended it to us while we were visiting St. Augustine and we were VERY disappointed. It looked like a nice restaurant, and the menu sounded great. Our waiter was a younger college-age man and he was very kind and welcoming. However, our food came out in under 5 minutes (no joke) and it was absolutely disgusting... My husband ordered the brisket and it was clearly not fresh, you could taste that someone had microwaved it... he also got mac & cheese and it was not fresh, and just crusty...and his mashed potatoes tasted sour!!!!!!! My salad was WET as if they washed the lettuce but didn't dry it and my turkey and brisket were not fresh at all...we left as soon as possible!!!! This place is a complete disappointment, the bbq is completely uninspiring, and lacking in flavor. Their sauces seemed bottled and nothing special at all. I lived in North Carolina for many years and perhaps I am too discerning, but I could not finish the food. To top it all off the service was terrible. We found this bbq place right down the block from our B&B. This place is great. They have all kinds of bbq and we tried the bbq chicken, ribs and North Varolina pork. Everything was tasty. Service was Excellant, outdoor patio is large with beautiful views. We had 3 sides, mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash and collard greens. Each was great but the collard greens were a real treat. I really love Mojo's, especially this location. I always get the smoked turkey, Mac and cheese, and salad dressing with ranch dressing. I am usually someone who likes to try different foods, but these three dishes are so delicious I never want to miss a chance to enjoy it. Last stop on our Bar Crawl Walking tour of St. Augustine was all about the food, not the drinks. In fact, after Dos Gatos, The Floridian and Prohibition Kitchen, drinks were not a priority. Haha. Perhaps next time we'll come straight to Mojo. We'll definitely skip the Tini Bar. But Mojo is a tiny walk north of the St Augustine downtown, and very doable. The food is oN POINT! Love this place and can't wait to go back. Portions are generous. I tried the catfish and it was fried just right with a light cornmeal breading. Portion size was more than what I could eat, which is never a bad a thing. Really glad I found this place! In just my three day trip to Saint Augustine I visited here twice as it was so enjoyable. We ordered the pulled chicken sandwiches, the fried pickles, and the blackened catfish sandwich. I love fried pickles and they were perfect . We also dined outdoors and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The ribs didn't have much flavor. But the pork was what we expected to be the star, so it was a shame that it was subpar at best. Updated review. I was searching for a parrot friendly restaurant (harder than it looks) and we landed on mojos. We went, service (mike) was incredible. And he even brought the birdy his own little bowl of lettuce. We ordered a couple drinks off the competition menu, and decided breannas was the best, and even went in to congratulate her. (She immediately fell in love with the bird) She was also very sweet. My boyfriend loved his food. I wasn't really feeling mine, I ordered "the smitty" but it was great quality, just not my taste, as it turned out. Fries were great, though. Drinks were great too. AVOID THE BRISKET!! We visited Mojo during our vacation this past week. We were "extremely" disappointed with our brisket on the Smitty sandwich & burnt ends (sides were excellent, however, as was sausage on sandwich). Myself and my 2 adult daughters all agreed it was the worst brisket we've eaten in our entire life + burnt ends were very salty & almost inedible. The brisket was "very" fatty with subpar texture. As a side note, we cook frequently on our Big Green Egg smoker & have sampled BBQ in Kansas City, Texas, Carolinas etc. Truthfully, we know brisket!
