Excellent BBQ is offered here. SO and I stopped in for lunch and shared a 3 meat plate...pulled pork, chicken and burnt ends (which was a slight upcharge, but worth it). The plate comes with a choice of 2 sides. The burnt ends and chicken were phenomenal!

The host is very friendly and welcoming. The service is very attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food they are serving. The food was very flavorful. The smoked brisket fell apart so nicely, it was juicy. The North Carolina pulled pork was succulent. They have one of the best collard greens I have ever had and their coleslaw was very nice. My lunch guest said the salmon was done to perfection and so was the green beans. I would highly recommend coming by for some smoked bbq, it is worth the trip. Don't forget to say hello to the host Juan and ask for Dave as your server.

We came during the night of lights. And this was the only empty restaurant. We got seated right away, got our orders right away and the food was really good. I will definitely come back!

I was quite underwhelmed with this BBQ experience. The place was fairly empty at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our server was very kind and the food came out very quick. The boom boom shrimp was great and slightly heavy on the sauce. I was very excited about the corn, but unfortunately they ran out before we ordered. None of our entrees were hot, and someone in our party actually had to send the ribs back to the kitchen because it was a little too cold. The chicken was flavorful and the Texas toast was great, but very salty. I don't eat brisket but people in our party said their brisket was too chewy and dry. Overall I was disappointed in the quality of the food, but perhaps it was just a bad night.

Pretty sure this is now my parent's favorite restaurant. Everything we had was tasty from the ribs to the brisket to the pulled pork. Sides were great as well. Mac and cheese was top tier, collards were juicy and flavorful and French fries were hot and fresh. Onion rings were yummy. The coleslaw was a bit generic and under seasoned, but everything else was delish. Great service. Also really love the unique artwork throughout the restaurant. Will be back!

We were looking for some food. Placed an order to go for burnt ends. We walked back to the car and everyone asked to taste one . So I shared we all went back and order 2 more orders. We will return for kitty. They were very delicious and service was really quick. The host was so nice. He remembered me when I came back . The place looked nice and relaxing

New Brunswick Stew with jalapeño corn bread and a side of Mac & cheese.

We can't come to St. Augustine without eating here. Completely obsessed with the Brunswick Stew - so much so - that we ask to purchase a quart to take home every time. I love their wings! Chicken wings smoked then flash fried, so it keeps all the juices inside and crispy outside. Tonight (12/30/25) our server "Melanie" was AMAZING!! Attentive, friendly, on top of everything even though it was very busy. Cannot recommend this place enough.

The meats were very delicious. The Mac & cheese needed a bit more flavor but everything else was really good. There was in and out door seating so you have an option but the service was okay.

Had dinner here during a trip at the busiest time of year, Christmas. The place was on an hour wait. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The food and service were excellent. We had several appetizers and entrees. The onion rings and fried pickles are delicious. For dinner we had ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. I highly recommend all three. The side coleslaw and Texas toast were good. We were too full for desert. Difficult to park as this is a walkable town.

To be honest I would give this place a 3 star, but my husband said the ribs were really good and the service was very nice. Pros: Burnt ends are great, nice sauce selection, onion rings very good, macaroni was good, cool selection of food Cons: brisket super, super dry, really fatty, gristly cut of meat. Could not chew through it. Never experienced that with brisket. Baked was very interesting too.

Mojo Old City BBQ was the top rated spot in St Augustine, so we wanted to give it a try. I love that the patio is dog friendly, they sat us outside quickly but we waited a good time to be served afterwards. I do appreciate that their space heaters were working, it seems like most places that have them don't have any propane in them. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich for $16, and wanted fries as a side dish but they were out. I'm really surprised that a restaurant this big is out of such a standard side. Since our first option wasn't a go, we went with what the server recommended, the Mac and cheese. The pork was super dry, but I liked that they had a variety of sauces to top it with. Mac and cheese was pretty basic, so I was a little disappointed. Service was pretty slow, but I feel like they were short staffed for how big the inside dinning was. Overall, we weren't impressed with our first visit. I appreciate the friendly dog patio and the food coming out quickly.

Fantastic casual BBQ spot. Be prepared to wait. Not quite as long as they say, but you will wait. The food is great, I had combo ribs and brisket. We also had coleslaw, beans, onion rings, and fried pickles. We will definitely be back. Photos attached! Thank you!

Mojo's had quick service and large portions for a food price. We left feeling full and satisfied! We got the burnt ends, which was alright, and the brisket and pulled pork sandwich. Both were good, but a little bland, and we found ourselves needing to add quite a bit to have some good flavor. The sauces they provide are yummy, and we liked the Mojo speciality sauce best. Would recommend if you want some good priced and good portions of BBQ.

Ribs and brisket was way to dry, not sure it's because we ate around 9pm but If that's the case I would not recommend to eat here at night.

Catch 27 - St. Augustine, FL…read more Came to St. Augustine with a group and Catch 27 was suggested for dinner. Great choice. I checked the Yelp reviews ahead of time and it definitely lived up to them. People in our group started with drinks and everyone at the table seemed happy with what they ordered. I had the red wine braised beef brisket for my main and it was excellent, very tender and full of flavor. My friend Damon next to me had the red snapper and I tried some of that too. Also very good. Someone else at the table had the Rockefeller crusted snapper and that looked and tasted great as well. For appetizers, I had the shaved pear and blue cheese salad. It was really good and honestly enough for two people to share as an appetizer. People at the table also ordered the Devils on Horseback and liked them. I do not eat bacon, but they were happy with that dish. The deviled eggs with southern fried oysters looked really good, and I had the smoked salmon spread, which was very good too. I also saw the shrimp and grits come out for someone else and that dish looked excellent. For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding and it was a strong finish to the meal. Others at the table ordered the seasonal crème brûlée, which was chocolate that night. It looked great and everyone who had it said it was very good. Sunny was our waitress and she did an exceptional job. Attentive, kind, and on top of everything the whole night. In my mind this is about a 4.7 star experience, and I am rounding it up to a full 5 stars. Catch 27 is a great choice in St. Augustine.

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently.
