I randomly found this place on social and was excited to see they opened a new location in downtowns Chandler. My friend and I came here for the first time last week. We arrived just before 9am during the week. I believe the girl working said they've been open for a month. I saw online and social several interesting pastries and drinks which had me intrigued plus including the decor and vibe. There were not that many pastries when we were there and most of the pans that were showcased had small portions left, so that had me thinking if that had been made the day or so before and so I was uninterested in trying the cakes. I did decide to try a potato samosa which I really enjoyed (I've had many samosas before). Quiet a few of the drinks interested me and I finally decided at 9am I need coffee. The woman working helped me decided on mixing a couple flavors which ended up tasting great! We had mixed the pistachio and spain lattes (warm). It wasn't overly sweet but had flavor which is my vibe. My friend got the Dubai Chocolate Latte and enjoyed it. Customer service was good not necessarily great! If I depend on Yelp reviews to be honest, I need to be genuine as well. To be honest the next day,my daughter and I took a few sips of the coffees we bought (we kept them in the fridge to see if the flavors changed). Unfortunately, the taste didn't develop. It might just be our inexperienced palate with Yemeni coffee beans or maybe it may take a while to get used to. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Occupying what was formerly Jake's Sweet Shop is Moka & Company-one of the newest additions to Downtown Chandler. This specialty Yemeni Coffee chain opened this Chandler location about two weeks ago. Twenty four locations were opened within 24 months with nine more in the works. Heavily present in Michigan and New York, other locations are popping up in Illinois, Georgia and now Arizona. We placed an order at the counter, sat down then took in the pretty and bright surroundings. I just love the Qamaria (half moon) arches that stand out among all the modern Middle Eastern components. The crown molding supported the beautiful detailing along the ceiling. Now for the coffees. The Saffron Latte $8 was unique to me. With added sugar, it was okay. The Cortado $6 + $1 sub for almond milk had bold, roasty and earthy tones but a tad of sugar had to be added to balance it. I would order something else next time. We didn't try any of the baked goods in the case but they looked delicious. Today, Sunday at 10:20 am there was one group in line ahead of us. When leaving at 10:50 am there were eight people in line. Parking was easily accessible with a small parking lot on the west side of this building, and there's also a parking garage. Moka & Co in Chandler is seriously one of the nicest coffee spots I've been to. The design alone stands out it's clean, modern, and has a warm, inviting vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. The coffee is just as impressive. Everything tastes high quality, smooth, and perfectly made. What really sets it apart though are the unique traditional drinks you don't find these flavors at typical coffee shops. They bring a different experience that feels authentic and special. Overall, it's not just a place to grab coffee, it's a whole experience. Definitely one of the best spots in Chandler. Parking is plenty in garage in the back and they also have a nice patio. read more

Came to the Mesa location off greenfield and baseline today. EVERYTHING AMAZING! We got the mufawar coffee Pineapple mango frozen drink (basically a smoothie) Chocolate croissant (From JL bakery) Biscoff milk cake Dot cake And a vanilla cake pop Everything was fresh pastries were moist fluffy buttery and soft. Half of her pastry's she gets are from the viral JL bakery located in phx AZ -the rest are from ONE local bakery that wasn't named. The chocolate croissant was so buttery fluffy and crispy top was SO GOOD! If you want to experience JL bakery without the drive come to Moka! Price was $9 for XL croissant it's pretty big. Served warm. The coffee we got you can taste every flavor of spice and coffee bean. Served HOT not lukewarm or semi hot so that was nice. The mango pineapple smoothie is definitely a great refresher for these hot AZ summer days I believe it was $7-$8 for what looks like a. 24 oz cup sorry don't have a pic I enjoyed it before even thinking of that. The biscoff milk cake was SO FREAKING GOOD! It was perfectly moist and just the right amount of milk inside. It's served cold but I'm sure it'd taste even better warm which you can ask for it to be warmed as well as the other pastries. The cake pop and dot cake had the same taste to me probably cause their literally both vanilla cake but the cake taste like your traditional vanilla cake batter i liked it. The service was amazing! Sucks I didn't get her name but she was so sweet and helpful with any questions-they have a reward system and an app Moka & Co with your second purchase you get a free drink! Super excited to try this place with my daughter. We ordered a saffron tea, and a Dubai mocha w/one samosa and a small mousse-like pastry for a whopping $31! I like to support new businesses, but we should've stuck to Starbucks. The joy was immediately sucked out of us by the way we were greeted --or lack thereof. We asked questions about the items on the menu and mentioned that this was our first time here but we were met with total indifference. When I asked what was in the saffron tea I was abruptly just told "tea." For a newly opened business you would think they would be a little bit more enthusiasm. The lady at the counter just wanted to get the transaction over with. There was a lot of negativity on her end when we sat down, and a large group of people came in and put in a big order. I'm sure it came to a couple of hundred dollars, but she just kept "tutting" and we could hear her, as though she was completely put out, rather than embracing the customers and the business they brought through the front door. Abysmal. I couldn't drink the overly creamy tea. And the food was subpar. The potato Samosa was OK because it wasn't spicy but the other milk cake tasted strange and we had asked prior to purchasing it what was in it, but we were not met with a response other than just the word "cake." I totally get there might be a language barrier but good manners has no language barrier. A smile speaks 1000 words. Courtesy goes a long way too as does welcoming your customers. Given the cost of the items, lack of friendliness of the staff, the lack of willingness to explain any of the items on the menu or give us time to order and the behavior we witnessed when the person was serving other customers -- we will not be back. I truly regret having to write a negative review and I do wish them well. The only pro I can think of is the space which they have done a nice job with considering how small it is. Great coffee spot in downtown Chandler for visitors! If you're staying at the Crowne Plaza nearby, as of this review, you'll get 20% off your order. I loved the iced mocha latte and the frozen berry smoothie was also good to have on a hot and sunny day. Service was spectacular. They had an assortment of cakes, macaroons, and cannolis in the display cases up front - which looked super good! I'll definitely be back to relax over some coffee and desserts inside, or if I want to stop in for a quick coffee or treat, take it to-go and hit the pool. read more

They advertise they are open at 6:00, I got there at 7:00 to only find a locked door and no one inside. Downtown chandler is already a nightmare to get to so this was extremely inconvenient. Ordered the pistachio latte and it was amazing. I spoke to the barista behind the counter about lower sugar options and he was extremely patient and accommodating and the drink came out perfect; not too sweet but great flavor. Will be back to try alllllllll the pastries in the case. read more

The pastries were good but $9 for a croissant is high. The coffee was pretty good, but $9 for a medium sized iced coffee( they only have one size) is high. The staff member was not polite. I won't be back. read more

I usually go to the one in Mesa and I guess I should've just stuck with that. I went to the Chandler location and I'm super bummed I ordered the pistachio latte. They never put the honey in so I actually threw it away. I spent $18 there and I just wouldn't go back. The guy at the front wasn't even friendly or cared just super disappointing because the Mesa location the pistachio latte with the honey and the pistachio was so good I was excited to taste the same thing, but that was not the case won't go back. read more
