Customers beware! Potentially the worst home service experience I have ever encountered. Technician dispatched was grossly under qualified and management (COO) refused to acknowledge my complaints and concerns. I was charged over $500 for a diagnosis that any competent homeowner could conclude with very basic research. I have personally renovated numerous homes with water intrusion issues and have never experienced such a disappointing specialist. I encourage all home owners to avoid this firm. read more

We were in contract on a house that suddenly had a very musty smell. Mold Inspection Sciences was able to quickly accommodate us and get to the property in 2 days. Look no where else - this company is the real deal! They did a very thorough inspection and took 2 air samples. After their assurance, we know the house does not have mold. Turns out the air conditioners needed fixing and they were causing the smell. However, given how prevalent mold is, we will sleep better at night having their assurance. We contacted another company and they talked a lot about how inexpensive they were, but Mold Inspection Sciences was the same price and could really talk intelligently about their subject. I'll admit that mold inspections for homes is sometimes unwanted but it is definitely needed for those who have strong allergies and/or selling homes. Their service was good and had great customer service. *NOTE: they are not a mold removal service company. Setting up the appointment and all the pre-visit requirements wasn't difficult. Just a brief description of what's going on. The visit was about 1 hour or so and included a detailed explanation of what was found in the house and outside of it. Not just what you had descrived/saw before the visit. They check everything. The cost of the visit is a set price depending on your home size but the sampling cost is separate and it varies depending on how many samples you need done. I do recommend getting the air and surface since you do need an accurate test of atmosphere vs surface areas and the comparison of it so you can get your treatment done correctly. The only thing i feel could improve is is you do request an air & surface sample, they should include that as a cheaper cost since it will directly correlate with what you need for your after treatment inspection. The discussion after the tech fully inspects all areas and even some areas you can advise them to check if already didn't, is extremely thorough. You will sign off on everything you need samples on and what you do not want samples on and all of the requests/notices that the tech saw. You get a copy of everything done that same day and a long report with everything done that day a couple of days later. Overall I did like what they did even though my expected result was less than I had anticipated but that was just in relation to the mold itself and not the company. read more

I have had health issues related to mold in our house for several years. We had three different companies test for mold. Mold Inspection Sciences is the company that found it and resolved the issue. I've had multiple sinus surgeries and the doctors simply could not determine why I had a recurring problem. Cary Gilcrease of Mold Inspection Sciences is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He did air quality testing and surface testing. The company meticulously and comprehensively eradicated the mold without allowing it to get into any other areas of the house. MIS is exactly who they say they are: experienced, friendly, helpful, professional. Our inspector did a thorough job and I felt 100% comfortable with him roaming through literally every square inch of our house. He was able to answer a lot of our questions and alleviate some of our fears. I promptly received an email with a detailed report of findings, and the owner followed up with me on the phone to go over the report and any additional questions that I had. I want to say Cary who came to our house to inspect was great. Very honest and super helpful. Answered all my questions and gave honest opinions, thorough inspection, and left me feeling much better ( I was worried we had mold- per previous owners assumption ). Luckily it wasn't what was said. A bit miscommunication on getting full report via email. Told by office manager Tina that I was left a voicemail notifying me that email had been sent and report email may have gone to junk? ..... I did not receive a phone call or vm. But I had been receiving survey emails so I know emails were not going to junk mail. Received report 6 days after inspection. Overall I recommend company. read more

We're currently renting a home that is showing signs of mold. Cary came out and did a thorough inspection with pictures and he took samples to send out to the lab. He was very nice and explained everything he did and what he saw. We will be receiving a very detailed report to submit to the landlord. I can't say enough good things about Mold Inspection Sciences. I discovered mold in my apartment and when I notified the apartment property manager they had maintenance supposedly come and take care of the issue. However, I still had a feeling that there was mold growing behind the walls but needed proof so that is when I called Mold Inspection Sciences. I worked with both Ben and Nathan and they were absolutely wonderful. I told them my situation and they were able to get me an appointment right away and were very accommodating with my schedule. The test results came back very quickly (3 days) and the report was very thorough. They also followed up with me multiple times to see if I had any questions and if I needed anything else. The report was exactly the information I needed to be able to go back to my apartment property manager and have them remove the mold versus just covering it up.
