This place used to be an easy 4 or 4.5 star brew pub but frankly the food has gone a bit down hill over the last year. They used to have a really delicious beef and cheddar stew in a bread bowl. They used to have a really good poutine appetizer. They used to make a really good juicy delicious bacon cheese burger. Now they have canceled the stew and the poutine but they have replaced them with slightly overcooked tater tot's that harken back to middle school cafeteria lunch. And they have changed that delicious juicy bacon cheese burger to a style they refer to as a "smash burger" which basically means they smash it thin and flat so that it is over cooked and dry and a bit burnt but they slather it with a sort of beer cheese sauce to make up for the lack of juicy deliciousness. Their beer has always been pretty good but it seems to me that lately their beers have been getting more and more heavily hopped and bitter. I guess it is a popular style but not to my taste. Their outdoor beer garden is a very nice space and they are expanding it. So that is good. On the whole I think this place is still reasonably good. It is worth coming to for an evening out with friends but no longer a destination for great food and drink. read more

Stopped in for a mid day beer or 3. Enjoyed each one we tried. Only snacked on their potato tots as we were going out to eat later. Very good. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We live about 100 miles away but made a point if stopping in. Glad we did. read more

I liked the atmosphere! The shareables were Very Tiny! I got the vegan Poutine, which is French fries with gravy. It was ok! The Thrift Store Pale Ale was good! It is brewed to benefit Operation Veterans Hope! Overall I would come back for a beer and to try their Imposter Vegan sausage! I realized they had it after I ordered!! Go here for the beer - have some food if you're hungry. The variety and freshness of their beers is worth the visit. The food was enjoyable and what I'd expect from a brewery restaurant. Nice, hip joint in downtown Carlisle. Very good beer selection with reasonable prices. We didn't eat (much) while here, but a friend ordered tater tots and they were great! They were definitely homemade and seasoned well, with a good spicy ketchup. read more

I stopped by for a mid-afternoon lunch when the place was more than half empty. The overcooked goat cheese burger came with the advertised sauce but no onion straws and was served on a cold hamburger bun straight out of the fridge. Condiments were neither provided nor offered. The "nitro" porter was served with no head at all-- it was just plain watery. Service was okay, but no more. I was a fan of MP at its original location on East South and I have tried to like the new place, but I get the sense that they just don't care anymore. It doesn't bode well for the future. read more

We arrived in town on a Sunday afternoon. Not many places we googled were open. Decided to try Molly's as it appeared busy. Turns out it was trivia night. We waited for seats to open and ended up at the bar. No big deal. We ordered burgers. Buns were cold, burgers had no flavor and there was very little of the special mayo. Our bartender was nice. It was a packed Friday Night, we got the last table available. We were greeted by our server immediately and our appetizer and beer order were taken immediately. The fried cheese curds were a creamy melty delight with a kick delivered by the chili caper sauce. I had the Bacon Burger perfectly cooked medium with two slices of quarter inch think IPA braised bacon, smoky sweet intense bacon flavor. The Jalapeno Slaw was fresh with a kick. My Patriot Ale was a perfect compliment, fresh and crisp. The placed was packed and we had our beer, appetizer and Burgers were on the table in less than 12 minutes. Service is completely illogical and all over the place and the staff has little manners and are disorganized. They have instead opened a very nice location at 139 West High St. We had a late lunch there on a summer Friday afternoon. The place has an upscale, light industrial look to it, very well done. It was crowded and busy, but we were waited on instantly. We both had the Black Powder Porter and the Bleu-'shroom burgers, both excellent. Highly recommended! I live in Philly now, but a visit to Molly Pitcher is a must visit every time I'm home in Carlisle. I love almost every beer that they have - you seriously cannot go wrong. The food is delicious, and I love the outdoor space when the weather is nice. There is live music upstairs every week, and they even have a special date night menu sometimes! When I went it was in the evening to see a friend's band play. That was upstairs. It was a cool vibe. It was packed and bustling. I had gotten the shrimp appetizer. It had an aïoli sauce and finished with potato straws. It was very tasty:) My husband got the fried chicken sandwich. That was also delightful. I would go back there & get those things again. Loved the Peanut Butter beer! Growlers are super expensive to buy here so make sure you bring your own. Food was okay. I got the bacon burger with a side salad and my husband got the same but with a side of fries. It was expensive for what you actually get. The burgers are tiny. I really liked the salad but wish I was warned that the creamy herb salad dressing was spicy. My mouth was burning by the end of the salad. We also ordered the buttermilk pie for dessert which was my favorite part of the meal. We would come back again for the beer but not for the food. read more

We went here on a Saturday ( yesterday) early about 3. When we had walked in the women at the door was like can I help you we said 5 and a baby and she was like well you can't sit together so we decided that was fine will stay well she was just plain rude. Almost like she didn't want us there. She goes ok you can't sit together, no getting up and no high chairs. First off the baby was clearly sleeping. Then goes masks must be worn except for eating ok fine. It felt like she just wanted us to leave. Well we sit down food was delicious and the waiter was wonderful only reason I'm giving 3 Stars. I found it funny how the women came outside to her "regulars" and they didn't wear masks the whole time and they were allowed to get up and down. It's poor business and down right rude. For someone whose worked as a server and bartender their whole life I've never seen anything like it nor would I treat anyone like that. We felt unwelcome. We felt judged because we had a child with us. You don't know how much we are coming to spend so why judge!!! When leaving we didn't even receive a thank you for coming and bye. I'm sorry but if it wasn't for the fact that we were hungry and were a hour and half from home we would've left!! Don't bother if you have kids with you! read more

Manager is consistently mean. Maybe there is enough demand that they don't need to worry about common decency, but we keep trying to give this place another chance and then the same manager just keeps pushing us away. When you walk in, one of the polite and enthusiastic staff greets you. Then the manager shows up and she treats you like trash. We keep walking out. This is a craft beer lovers heaven. Personally I hate the over hopped beer trend but the people in my party enjoy it so to each their own. The Poutine was not your standard Poutine. It had a smoky flavor with shredded beef hidden on it. The Feta and Smoked Tomato Burger was cooked to a perfect medium well. I indicated that I had a food allergy and I swear half the wait staff and kitchen staff wanted to walk me through everything on the menu.
