went even after having dinner. it's my first time at this location and it's really spacious and nice. love all the space and tables/chairs available. i ordered two drinks on with boba and one without. left because it was so cold there. as we were driving home i realized that i got maybe 5 pieces of boba. FIVE. finish the drink and open the lid to find one more boba at the bottom of the cup. so you charge $1 for boba as an add on and only give a drink SIX pieces. that is crazy! i never had that issue at any other boba so i was just SHOCKED. i hope it was just a coincidence and when i come back, there will be more than six bobas in my cup.
Had a lovely visit to Molly Tea! The new Thai Tea Series was creamy, refreshing, and beautifully presented--especially the Salted Cheese Thai Tea and Dual-Layer drink. The staff was friendly, the space was inviting, and the limited-edition stamp sticker and knitted bag promotion made the visit even more fun. A great stop for boba lovers in the Bay Area!
I actually liked their matcha here. I always say matcha taste like seaweed to me and there matcha didn't have that taste.
The tea is really good, for the size it's kinda $$$ overhype and over priced is what mindset you need to come in with. I get it Bay Area real estate and prices. However, for 16oz at around $8 that is a sell. But it's busy and people are coming in and out. The parking lot is not great. The tea is but you got to love tea.
After I told a hg that I really enjoy floral tea, she highly recommended Molly Tea! --- D R I N K S --- My favorite combo is the White Champaca Milk tea with a Jasmine Whipped Cream With Pecan top and sago! It sounds like a lot, but it actually works really well together. The White Champaca tea is on the mellow side, the Jasmine whipped cream adds additional floral aroma and extra creaminess, the sago gives texture without overpowering the drink, and the little bits of pecan add a nice surprise crunch. My husband's favorite is the Peach Oolong. I've had my fair share of peach milk teas over the years where they can be too sweet and the peach flavor tastes straight up like chemicals, but this has to be the best peach-flavored tea I've had so far! It has a fruity taste that doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. When I first visited last year, they had a "Fresh Oat Milk Tea Series", but I'm sad to say that it's not on this location's menu anymore. _______________________________________________________ ---A M B I A N C E -- I'm diggin' the woodsy, warm, Asian-y aesthetic they got going on! Tea and merch are displayed on the walls, and pink is definitely their signature color, so expect to see pops of it here and there in the decor, cups, and to-go bags. This location has a decent amount of chairs and tables, but let me tell you, this place was hella busy back when it was the only Bay Area location. We learned the hard way that the parking lot gets packed. Sometimes you'll get stuck in the super small lot because someone isn't even in a spot -- they just have their car parked with the hazards on while they run in to pick up their drink. Other times, cars are waiting and signaling for a parking spot while other cars are on standby waiting for people to leave after grabbing their drinks. The gas station behind the shop clearly got tired of it too because they put up a bunch of signs saying they'll tow if you park there just to visit Molly Tea. I highly recommend parking down the street near the apartment sidewalks or across the street and taking a little stroll to the store instead. Honestly, it just showed me that no matter how tiny the lot was, people still made the effort to slide through for drank. Fair warning though -- definitely expect to wait and chill. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- I will say, the staff handles the busyness pretty well. Lines are usually at or out the door, and they're receiving online orders simultaneously. There's another boba shop in the Bay that has a similar layout and process as Molly Tea, but that other chain feels like workers on an assembly line with deadpan faces. I feel like the brightness and warmth of Molly Tea is emphasized even more because of the friendly staff and their willingness to help with your order even after it's received.
Molly Tea is a favorite amongst boba drinkers, and this location is no different. The parking lot is a tad small, and the orders come in and out even on weekday afternoons when one might expect a calmer time. Ordering is pretty straightforward on their self-service kiosks. On this particular visit, I had their White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and 30% sugar. Somehow, they always get it just right in terms of sweetness. The best part is the "three stack straw" which really brings out the taste of the tea. Drinks were being made and served to order minute by minute, and the overall wait time was ~ 15 minutes. While the seating here is comfortable and can be relaxing, make sure to plan ahead, as the sun can be quite the nuisance at the right angles!
The store is reasonably big and has plenty of seats to chill and enjoy milk tea. It does get super busy, so it's better to order ahead of time and come for pickup. The parking lot is kinda small and fills up very quickly.
Came by to try after lunch on Mother's Day, probably around 4PM. The place was SUPER busy when we went, but the service was still really fast and organized, we got our drinks within 10 minutes. The interior is modern and really cute, and they even have a dog check-in photo wall which was so so cute ! We got the snowy Jasmine with boba. Drinks themselves were light, fragrant, and refreshing. Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. The boba had a really good flavor and sweetness to it that balanced everything out perfectly. Overall a great spot to grab a drink. Next time I want to try their Pistachio Matcha Coconut water so I will be coming back!
Seems like I finally found a drink I like here! Fourth time's the charm, I guess. During my first visit, Halloween 2024, I tried the iced white champaca oolong milk tea, probably no sugar added. I didn't like the after taste, it was kind of weird. I can take bitter tea flavor but didn't care for this. I gave it another try a few months later and got the same drink. Same reaction. I went to the San Mateo location in Jan 2026 and tried the iced jasmine tea with matcha cheese top, no sugar added. It was better but I still wasn't impressed. They definitely have quality tea but I didn't get the hype around this brand. Fast forward to April 2026, a work friend needed sugar so I went along for the ride and to get a hot drink. I ordered the DanCong Oolong milk tea, hot with 30% sugar. SOO GOOD! I will go back for this. I do prefer oolong teas. I thought I would like white Champaca since it's oolong plus jasmine, but here we are. My friend's favorite is the iced DanCong and he got the snowy version with jasmine whipped cream and pecan topping, 70% sweet. Tasted great! Parking lot actually had spots but it was a Monday afternoon. Can't wait for the new Rivermark location to open in Santa Clara! I walked past there today and looks like they might open in another month or so.
Ah the famous Molly Tea! Quite a few locations have popped up; I hope they open one in the Tri-Valley soon. They close at 10:00pm everyday which feels so late to me LOL. Yay for late night boba! There is quite a lot of people working behind the counter, but it seems like a well-oiled system. The music, the staff, the lighting, the figurines all remind me of playing Animal Crossing for some reason LOL. I love the sleek wood accents inside, and there are 2 screens to order from. There's another larger screen that displays all order #s that are in progress or ready. Parking is very limited; I was lucky to snag a spot since I came around 8:00pm, but I don't know the area well enough to know where else I would've parked if it was full?? I heard people have parked in the plaza across the street. There is no WiFi (that I know of) and my phone was running on slow LTE, might be just me. Premium Jasmine Milk Tea ($7.99): Well. This tasted like proper jasmine milk tea, I don't know how else to describe it. I bow down. Still good even as the ice melted! The cup is sealed beneath the to-go lid, so the extra safety is excellent for the car and preventing spillage. Next time I'll order online for a faster wait time and try more drinks to pop into the fridge :)
Molly Tea offers a vast selection of milk teas, matchas, and similar drinks. I went to this branch on a Thursday evening, and it was quite busy. It took a bit of time to not only order at the kiosk, but to receive our drinks too. I ordered the Tongmu Lapsang Salted Cheese and thought it was pretty good! My only qualm with this place is the parking situation, as we had to park in the lot over.
Good golly miss molly. Your teas are amazing, girl! I've heard about Molly Tea from my friends in SoCal who rave about this Chinese spot to hit the States. I was surprised to find out it's based in Shenzhen and not in Taiwan, but their teas speak for themselves. They pride themselves on their jasmine tea offerings and there is a lot to love. The moment you walk in, you are just hit with its aromatic scents which can make it hard to decide on your order. I went with one of their oat milk options (shout out to my non-dairy friends), the White Champaca Oat Milk Tea, with reduced ice and sugar. I was in love with this drink upon first sip. The floral tastes of the tea was so strong and really stood out compared to other boba shops. Additionally, they use crystal boba which provides a lighter experience rather than normal starchy tapioca (not that I have any issue with that because they are still my obsession). Overall, a must have tea experience. It's one of the best in the area and definitely adds to the competition within Cupertino. Note: the pink bags are only available through online orders. I didn't need one myself but if you really want one, make sure to order in advance.
I've been going to Molly tea ever since they opened and have never been let down, except for the wait times even when it's not busy. I bought their new mango Jasmine coconut tea and while taking my last sip, a sharp hard plastic piece hurt my mouth and I almost swallowed it...

Came here with friends to try the premium jasmine milk tea and we all agreed it's a 3/5. Maybe I'm too used to oolong but the jasmine tea wasn't very fragrant or robust, and the drink tasted quite milky. The only place I've tried that does Jasmine milk tea with matcha right! * Premium Jasmine Matcha 100% sweetness: This is so good! It's their jasmine green tea, matcha cheese with fresh milk. You can choose to have the matcha on the side or in your drink. I love how you can really taste the good quality jasmine tea and when you mix the matcha in the drink it doesn't overpower it. They both blend together very well! 100% sweetness is perfect to me for this drink. Parking here still sucks and I wish it was at a bigger plaza. read more

The parking lot is really small, so may be hard to find parking. You can order via the kiosk, and I got the Premium Jasmine Milk Tea. The drink was so good, creamy, and the perfect taste of the tea. They also have plenty of seats available to sit. Overall, great tea place to try out. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and the line wasn't too bad, maybe like 10-15 people in front of us. Considering there was a line, our tea was ready pretty fast. I got the peach oolong milk tea and also tried the premium jasmine milk tea. Both were really good and floral tasting. Probably the best tasting authentic tea I've had in the Bay so far. The one knock I will say though is that the parking lot in the hub they are located in is very small and we had to end up parking a street away. This isn't a big deal to me however, and I will definitely look to come back again. read more
We came here on a Wednesday around 11AM and there was no line. However, the parking lot is pretty small, and we were lucky enough to find one spot open that was 20 minutes parking. The store inside is huge with plenty of seats and tables! We waited around under 10 minutes for our drinks to be ready. I got the Premium Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea which is essentially a jasmine milk tea with matcha foam. Their drinks are very fragrant which I like! This has replaced the prior Happy Lemon, but the interior is completely different and feels much larger. Firstly, the parking is a nightmare. We went on a weekday evening and luckily got parking. However, if you don't want to roll the dice on parking, there are always nearby parking lots (though be careful as I've been told there are signs to not park in these other plazas if you're going to Molly Tea). One perk that may keep you coming back is the rotating rewards. They include plushies/figurines and sometimes larger prizes like bags when you collect them all. One of my friends has stayed up to date with all the promos and she was the one I asked about recs for what to order. This boba chain specializes in jasmine drinks, and most of their drinks have some degree of floralness. My friends love the white champaca-- One friend prefers the oolong and the other friend the milk tea version of the champaca. I tried both and they were good! Due to seasonality, I opted for their mango slushie. This was excellent with multiple toppings included. I also do not like coconut flavors (coconut jelly is ok since it doesn't even taste like coconut to me) but this drink did not seem to have a coconut flavor despite it being on the ingredients description. I did not order additional toppings with my drink nor do I think it needed anything extra. What I really appreciate about this chain was the sign recommending 70% sweet and less ice. My usual go-to modifications at any boba location is 50% sweet and less ice so this was right in my wheelhouse--and it defaults to this when ordering! Would very happily return in the future and if I feel daring, I may try some other drinks. However, from the 3 I tried this time, I would happily reorder any of them. read more
I've been wanting to try Molly Tea for a long time, especially since it's on the way to work. Today's my lucky day because my coworker offered to pick it up. :) Peach Oolong Milk Tea - No toppings, 70% sweet. I usually get 100% sweetness or more but surprisingly 70% is not that bad. I'm thinking maybe it'll lose its aroma if I got 100%. I appreciate the straw design, to allow for more savoring. My second time coming here and it's always quick, efficient, and yummy!!! I love getting the snowy cream jasmine which has become my go-to whenever I come to Molly Tea. I love how there's a strong tea taste while of course, also being creamy. I'm not a big sweet tooth so I appreciate that these drinks aren't super sweet! Def one of my fave boba spots in the bay :) read more

Comparing the Premium Jasmine Matcha Milk Tea at Molly Tea with the one at HeyTea, the matcha is much stronger and creamier at Molly Tea. Molly tea in Sunnyvale is the best jasmine milk tea I've had in Northern California! Went on a weekday afternoon and wasn't too busy inside. The parking lot is fairly small but a lot of people would park across the street and walk no problem. Upon entering the open interior allows for good amount of seating and is spacious. Lots of people working/studying. The snowy jasmine milk tea is amazing and their triple tube straws allow for the full flavor experience. The jasmine whip cream is a great addition as well! I love jasmine milk tea so I had to try this place and heard so much hype about it. First, it's in a tinyyy plaza with barely any parking. I got lucky and pulled in right when a car was leaving. Luckily, there was no line and you order on the kiosk. I ordered what they're prob most known for, the snowy jasmine, which is essentially a jasmine green milk tea with jasmine flavored whipped cream and candied pecan? toppings. I adjusted to less ice and less sweetened. The drink came out pretty fast and honestly, it was good but not amazing. I guess I was expecting more from all the hype? The cream was interesting and they give you a spoon to eat it separately if you want. The pecans were good. I would say maybe don't adjust the sweetness because it doesn't seem like it's normally super sweet anyways. The interior was really nice and clean and a cool hangout spot, although not sure how easy that would be with the difficult parking during peak hours. The hype probably has more to do with the branding concept of a "designer" tea shop. The workers also seemed a bit standoffish. If I'm craving jasmine milk tea and am in the area maybe I'll come back but it's not something I am super excited to come back for. It's also pretty pricey for what it is. read more

DoorDash order. We don't get why Molly Tea is so popular, maybe because of its image? Pretty pink cups and pink bags. Otherwise, the tea has no flavor. I tried the osmanthus milk tea, I could only taste the milk but not any tea flavor. My coworker ordered a Jasmin milk tea, she peeled off the cover and I could smell the tea, but when she drank it, it was also no flavor. They sealed the tea cup with plastic and then put the lid on top. So if you just poke through via the drink hole with the straw, there'll be no spill or mess. read more
Molly tea is an ELITE tea shop in the Bay Area, and they honestly have the best Jasmine Milk Tea I've ever tried. I came here during prime time (Saturday afternoon), and there were a lot of people. Parking in that area is minimal, and I recommend parking across the street and walking over. Even though the line was long, the wait was short, and I got my drinks in around 20 minutes. I got the Signature Jasmine Milk Tea and their Osmanthus Milk Tea. The Jasmine Milk Tea had a strong flavor and an impactful aftertaste. I love the tea flavor from this drink. The drink is also quite creamy and had the right amount of sweetness. The Osmanthus milk tea was alright. It wasn't as strong as the Jasmine Milk Tea, but I think that's due to the nature of osmanthus tea. I'll come back here in the future to get another fix of the yummy jasmine milk tea! read more
Not worth the hype, or it's just not my preference. I ordered the Matcha Jasmine Salted Cheese and the Premium Jasmine Tea, both with brown sugar boba. I like my boba petals chewy and sticky, but the pearls here are Molly Tea are not the chewy type, they're the kind that separates perfectly from a bite. I also want to add that the added boba serving isn't generous. I couldn't taste enough matcha in my salted cheese drink. Simply not enough was added or milk/cheese foam overpowered the matcha. Plus, the salted cheese was not as salty as other cheese foams I have tasted. The jasmine tea was bland. That pretty much sums up the whole drink. read more

Tried it fresh and it absolutely hits (for the lactose tolerant). My champaca milk tea was floral and perfect at 50% sweetness and didn't need toppings to uplift it further either. They have an oat milk series too which was perfect for boyfriend but we found the oat milk flavor competed heavily against the jasmine flavor so it wasn't nearly as good. Maybe stick with the fruit/floral teas if you can't handle real milk. Overall, despite having a line out the door, it does move expeditiously and we were also able to grab a seat by the time our drinks arrived so it was a nice afternoon break spot. read more

A friend raved about Molly Tea and even got the car scent, so when I was around the area, I knew I had to stop by. I ordered the jasmine oat milk tea with jasmine whipped cream and pecans. The drink itself was fine, definitely good aroma but wasn't that mindblowing. The jasmine whipped cream didn't have too strong of a flavor, but the pecans were delicious. Probably my favorite part of the drink not going to lie. Overall didn't live up to the hype, but it wasn't bad by any means. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the design and aesthetic of the shop, as well as the product offerings. It's definitely a unique spot compared to all of the other boba shops around the bay. read more

I've seen Molly Tea everywhere on social media so when I finally found myself in the area, I decided to give it a try. I guess they revamped the menu a few days prior, so I was a bit sad they didn't have the specific drink I wanted to try. Oh well! I ended up getting the jasmine milk tea and I thoroughly enjoyed it as I could taste the tea and not just sweetness. The only bad this about this location is the awkward parking lot. There aren't enough spots for the amount of businesses in this center and some of the spots are kind of awkward to get into based on where you enter the lot. read more

Whew, first off, I don't think they realized how much this popular this place would be based on the location of it and the parking lot. The parking lot is super small, and will get congested quickly in a tight space. On top of the large crowds, it can cause a lot of anxiety. If you get through that then you made it to the long lines with not a lot of space to navigate. The interior is modern ascetics; simple and clean. When you get to the front, they have 2 kiosk to order and if you need more help they have an employee. There were about 30 orders ahead of us lol. I thought it would take awhile but it took about 30 mins. They had the workers pumping out drinks at a good pace. We ordered a few drinks so we can try it and see if it was actually worth coming back. The pistachio jasmine coco was the most appealing because of the look of it. The taste had a great floral essence and sweetness from the coconut water + jasmine tea, then you taste the pistachio cream. Together, it had a good harmony of flavors. The other drink we tried was the mango jasmine which was basically the mango sago. I'm glad they are opening more spots, this place is too good to not expand all over the place. read more

Wanted to stop by Molly Tea in the morning before running errands! I'd recommend ordering for pick up on their app ahead of time so you don't have to wait super long to order and then wait for your drinks to be ready. They're pretty efficient here for the volume of orders that they receive, but it's ordering on the app makes it more convenient to pick up and go since it's so busy inside. I decided to try their new hazelnut drinks and I tried the white champaca hazelnut chocolate lava. I was hoping for a ferraro roche flavor but I think that the tea wasn't for me. It honestly tasted kind of soapy? I really wasn't a fan of this drink The snowy jasmine is always a solid go to. Very refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. I do enjoy drinking out of the tiny straw because I feel like I can really taste the flavors of the drink. read more
The principal reason for going to Molly Tea is because you prefer the taste of tea and boba pearls with minimal additives. Or I guess you can think their package is cute and you like the black pink aesthetic. However, don't go to this Molly Tea. Parking with always a battle and a half. The lines are long but they do move by quickly. There's rarely anywhere to sit but they do keep the store clean. And the biggest mark against Molly Tea is that they charge you an extra dollar for the convenience of ordering ahead of time. Since the parking is limited, I placed an online order via Molly App to pick up some hot teas. I submitted the order at 1:58, and it said it would be ready in 20 minutes. But as I was parking on El Camino and walking toward Molly Tea, I got a message saying my order would actually be ready in an hour!!! At 2:01 pm! A lot of people inside... waiting for my teas...P.S. Molly Tea has been popping up all over social media and opening new locations everywhere so my friends and I went to go try it. I checked out the menu beforehand and it looks like they specialize in teas. Premium Jasmine milk tea (4/5): I am not the biggest tea fanatic so I can't really judge it by that. It was their #1 drink on the menu. I did enjoy the drink though. I did 50% sweetness which was good for me. The tea tasted strong. The one issue we had was the drink came with a lid and it was definitely unnecessary since the drink was sealed with plastic. We just threw it away. They also gave us stirring sticks instead of straws? They had 2 kiosk to order from and the drinks came out pretty quickly. There is plenty of seating inside and it does get busy. The parking lot is a bit small so keep that in mind. read more
One of my favorite places ever!! Their jasmine milk tea is so good with a strong tea flavor. Wait is always long but I think it's so worth it! I haven't tried many of their other drinks and just get the Jasmine milk tea! I think the snow on top doesn't make that much of a difference so I prefer the regular! read more
It feels like the service has gone downhill since the soft/grand opening--even though the lines are still out the door and there's a large number of staff. I ended up waiting about an hour and a half for my drink, first from a "shortage of mangos" and then because my order number was lost.. Maybe if the wait wasn't too long I'd come back, the drink was not bad. read more
