Jody recommended some best sellers which was the turkey panini and the sugar cane drink which was amazing. They are very polite and quick to make the delicious food. Their menu has so much to choose from and I it was hard to pick just one thing. Their banana delight is to die for along with the panini sandwich. The burrito was different from what I was expecting but it was pretty good. If you come here I recommend the panini sandwich, the banana delight and the sugar cane drink. Perfect for a day after a long hike or swim at the beach. It is very hard to miss it is on the side of the road with lots of scenery facing the mountains. The way they make the orders has no chronological sequence. They just put stuff out. We ordered 3 smoothies and two burritos. We got one smoothie, then someone else got one. We got another smoothie, then others got two smoothies and pancakes. We got another smoothie and another guy got one. And then finally our other burrito. All of it took 35 minutes! The burrito was 1 star. Breakfast burrito with maybe one full egg. It was 95% rice and beans and had zero flavor. Ugh I sooooo regret coming here! Even though they had a sign requiring masks they didn't enforce it and they didn't enforce social distancing so people were standing right next to us not wearing masks. Also the worker making our food didn't wear gloves and just reached everything (including the cash register) bare handed. She did wear a mask at least but after taking sips of our smoothies and having them not taste that great (very bland and sad) we decided better be safe than sorry and just threw them away. They don't use fresh fruit here (at least they didn't in our smoothies we ordered) which was so disappointing getting frozen fruit (we watched her use her bare hand to just scoop it out of a freezer bag). We thought we'd get fresh fruit coming to a fruit stand and were very disappointed to get freezer fruit when there is so much lovely fruit in Hawaii. Also I got eaten alive by mosquitos here. In the short time we were here I got 9 (NINE!) Mosquito bites. My daughter got 11!! That put an unpleasant damper on my entire trip. Wow! This was such an unexpected delight and the best food of our week in Kauai. We ordered the mango bread, macadamia cookie, chai smoothie, cut pineapple, and a flourless chocolate cake. Annoyed we didn't try some of the other food options that looked amazing, including fresh coconuts to drink, sandwiches and wraps bursting with greens, and banana pudding. We scoped out what other customers were eating. There's a counter with Ayurvedic body oils that we sampled and loved. The stand also sells supplements at reasonable prices. Overall, we were overjoyed with this stand and commend the kind folks running it. We sat at a well-shaded counter and ate everything. My partner said "it doesn't get better than that," when he tried the chocolate cake. My 13 year old said it was the best pineapple she's ever had. I agree with them both. Don't miss this! read more

Stopped by for açaí on the way up north. We got the açaí bowl which was good, nothing crazy stood out about it tbh. I feel like most açaí places on the island are pretty similar. But you def pay for views here though. I literally could sit out and stare at the mountains all day. I felt like it was way more humid here compared to other parts of the island so there were def a good amount of flies swarming around. We had some geckos crawl on the table and def were not afraid of humans as they kept getting closer to us so we moved out towards the tables by the parking lot. read more

Stopped here on our recent HI vacation. Although the food was great - DH and I both ordered sandwiches and he ordered a smoothie, the staff (except the order taker) was less than welcoming. We arrived at 2:30 since there is a discrepancy between their website hours (closing at 3pm) and Yelp hours (closing at 4pm). We erred on the earlier side since this was not close to where we were staying but wanted to try it. An employee was in the process of closing their gate at 2:30 when we arrived and we asked if we could come in, she just shrugged and reluctantly let us in. While we were ordering, two of the employees were having an argument with each other and it was not comfortable to be around them. They promptly closed their gate at 3pm. The turkey sandwich was also good, but had way too much onion. The atmosphere is fun, with a killer view. Coconut trees in the park lot make for a fun island feel, but don't park directly under one in case a coconut falls off. Also, the bathroom needed some attention. There was no soap or paper towels, and takes a bit of finagling with two keys to get the locks open. A total pain in the butt when you have to pee. read more

Killer smoothies and a very local joint right off the main highway. We passed this a few times on our way up north and later discovered that this was the place featured in the Childish Gambino "Telegraph Ave" video (see ~1:20 in the MV!) so obviously I had to come check it out. It certainly didn't disappoint! I got the Taste of Hawaii and he got a Date with Fate. Certainly a nice way to start the day and refreshing as well. We didn't get to try much else but we did leave with one of their refrigerated plastic containers of desserts. There was a crumb cake and a flourless chocolate cake; both of which are gluten-free. We took a crumb cake with us and it was amazingly fresh, delicious, and not too sweet. Wish we stopped by earlier! Looking forward to returning next time in Kauai! read more
