After a morning of snorkeling this place hit the spot. I would have taken a picture, but I ate my sandwich too quickly. The pastrami was incredible. My mother also really enjoyed her tuna salad sandwich. Each order came with a bag of chips. There was one woman behind the counter (this place is takeout only) and she did it all--took orders and prepped the sandwiches. She was sweet and professional. Our pastrami sandwiches were freshly cooked on the grill and as cheesy and flavorful as it can be. Friendly and very nice spirited lady running this tiny food joint. Had a little trouble finding this place because my map app wasn't specific enough and it's a tiny place. But it is definitely worth the search. My wife had the roast beef and I had the pastrami. Both were amazing. I watched as she hand-cut the meats, and hand-cut the tomatoes. This could not be more different than a Subway sandwich, and to me, that's a very good thing. In the end, I think my sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, maybe even the very best. I will remember to come back. read more

Tina has this woman owned business in the old town of Kapaa, Kauai. It is next to Orchid Alley, and close to the intersection with the traffic light, the last traffic light going north on island. The sandwich is on a muffin and the bacon is full and meaty, the egg fried to perfection and abundant. This sandwich will fill you up. Guaranteed. Tina does not sell coffee but directly across from her is Java Kai. Also across the lighted intersection is an ABC Store, which sells hot drip coffee and cold Royal Mills ice canned coffee, quite delicious with milk and sugar. Also a place to get chips, snacks, etc. So stop by for your breakfast sandwich and visit a couple of the other places for your coffee, touring/beach supplies. This cute little kiosk is right off of the sidewalk, tucked into the side of a building. Their hours might be a little flexible but go by with a good attitude and you'll receive the same back. They're known for their hotdogs and sandwiches, but in the morning they have a really affordable menu of breakfast sandwiches- think $5 for a massive bagel sandwich. At least for the bfast menu, it's nothing fancy but made with care. The Smith's bagel bag is right in plain sight, but the gals are willing to customize your order without hassle. I think we got a BEC bagel and it was massive, ready pretty fast, and more than enough for us to share. Wish we'd made it back to try more of their usual menu items. read more
