    Best crust in Redondo
    Ellie R.

Came in for a Taco Tuesday with $6 smash burgers and ordered both, some garlic knots, and pizza at the bar. The service wasn't great and the food came out very staggered. Really wasn't impressed with the tacos or burger - but the pizza really saved the entire trip. The vodka sauce was also excellent, but that crust was otherworldly. Karaoke night was very fun and the Pokemon pinball machine in the back was super cool! If the manager is reading this please consider hooking it up to the Stern Pinball Insider network! I gotta catch em all :D

My family and I went out of our way to get here because we wanted best pizza with a high rating. It's a casual restaurant with fun vibes with an arcade and live table games. We thought the service was great! Prompt and attentive staff there. Our server was friendly and engaging. He even broke the yolk and spread it around the pizza for us. Our pizza was very tasty with a good crust, but we felt for the price of the Grounded For Life, we'd get a bit more of each topping. The restroom was a mess, particularly the toilet which had pee splatter all over. Someone has got to be monitoring it more often.

I've been coming to Mom Said Yes regularly, and it has quickly become one of my favorite happy hour and lunch spots! The ice-cold beer glasses are such a nice touch, the New York-style pizza is absolutely delicious, and I love that they always have every game on. It's the perfect place to grab a drink, catch the game, and enjoy great food. A special shoutout to our bartender, Tayler, who was attentive, kind, and so easy to talk to. Great conversation and excellent service made the experience even better. From the food and drinks to the welcoming atmosphere, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend checking out Mom Said Yes if you're looking for a great local spot!

Went in for the first time for $1 taco Tuesday-need I say more? They have karaoke in the front. Quite loud, my friends and I had to shout at each other to hear ourselves. Food: Beef, chicken and $3 birria. Beef was the majority vote, a little oily so if you don't eat it quickly, the taco will fall apart. They all tasted good tho! $6 burger, thought it was going to be bigger. It has the option of fries (additional cost). You can also join in trivia and play against other guests! They have an arcade and pool table in the back! $1 to play, so bring your quarters! Star Wars and Godzilla fans are going to be happy. Kid friendly in the back even around 8PM. Staff are nice, kind of hard to tell who's who because everyone looks like a guest and having a good time. The best part of our night was one of the younger guys singing along AND dancing to Gangnam style-that was an epic performance! Easy free parking in the lot. Reservations highly recommended on Thurs, Fri and Sat by the owner.

Mostly teens for line dancing, but the instructors are awesome and the kids are all respectful and great dancers.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant and bar with friendly service and great (bar) food. It is much nicer inside then you would imagine looking at the outside. Everyone I have spoken with agrees - the 'new' name is utterly stupid and should be changed. What the name Does seem to reflect is that the place has been taken over by a contingent of 17-20 year old patrons. On some nights, it looks like a teen dance party. This is nice for the teens, but adults do not want to go out for sportsbar, drinking or dancing with 200 teens wall to wall. Be warned.

If you have kids but want to hang out in a bar atmosphere where they can join you and run around, this is the spot! We stopped by on a Saturday evening with our toddler and we felt at home with all of the families and kids. There is a game room and TVs in the main bar of the game room so you can keep track of your kids, genius! The pizza is unique, and you can split half and half for $5, so you can try more than one! We will definitely visit again!

Place used to be dive bar, still kind if is... but guess they redid it a bit..? Any way, nice hole in the wall neighborhood spot. Surprisingly kid friendly because I saw including us and two other tables with little ones. They are known for their pizza had a bite pretty good. Definitely not New York style but decent for around here. They're Smashburger. We'll have to say it's pretty damn good and they're sweet potato fries. Service is good overall nice little neighborhood joint to come get either drink drinks or some bar food and watch the game. Lots of TV all around. Forgot to take pics of food! Next time!

I came here for lunch with my kids and I am so happy I did. It's family friendly and they have a little semi private area you can sit in to order food and play arcade games or pool. If you prefer to sit in the main dining area, there's a TV with a camera set up so you can watch your kids while they're inside. Genius! We ordered a full pizza (half pepperoni and half "bad influence") + mozzarella sticks. They have a variety of drinks, plus breakfast, burgers, wings, salads, and more. They ship their ingredients from NY and Italy making them a true NY style pizza place. It was delicious! They do $1 Taco Tuesdays so I'm already planning to come back with a group! They also do events so it could be a great place to consider for birthdays and both kids and adults would enjoy.

    Cheese pizza
    ash j.

Mom Said Yes did not disappoint. I ordered a cheese pizza with a side of basil and ranch dressing. My total came to $35.07 (tax and tip), and while it is on the costly side, the quality showed. I've been craving a thin-crust, New York-style pizza and this absolutely hit the spot. Cheese pizza is where mediocre places get exposed, and this one shines. The sauce was flavorful, the cheese was generous without being overpowering, and it wasn't greasy at all. The ranch wasn't even needed because the pizza stood on its own. Ohhh, and the crust was amazing; thin with a perfect chew to it that really tied everything together. Hands down the best pizza I've had in a long time.

I LOVE coming here!! My friend recommended us to come here for pizza, and everything we had was so delicious. The location used to be a bar, but now it's like a pizza parlor where families can bring their kids (there is a pinball machine/arcade the kids can hang out in), and the parents can watch the game (there are SOOO many TVs). There is plenty of seating, but this place is so popular in our neighborhood, it is constantly lively. Sometimes there are events like trivia, line dancing, and live music - all are which are so much fun. I've tried almost all of their pizzas, and my favorite is the "Don't Tell Dad" (tomato sauce, sausage, peppafew peppers, fresh basil). Their sides are also really good - fries. wings, chopped salad... My favorite item to pair it with is their Mom says Yes Ale. The service is always friendly despite how busy it can be & I never have a problem finding parking in the plaza. I will see you there next time!!

Is this place kid friendly for dinnertime?

It absolutely is! It's a great place for families couples and singles. They have arcade games in the back room for kids too. You can check Instagram or website for nightly events.

What's the Thursday night line dancing like? Was hoping to see vids/pics but haven't seen anyone comment or post about it.

Its packed. Annie Sneed (Southbay influencer) did a whole post on her ig. Really good

Walking into an almost completely empty dining room while seemingly every restaurant around it was busy gave me pause, but sometimes an empty restaurant is simply good timing. We sat down hoping that was the case. There is real care behind the ingredients here. The pizza is built from the right vocabulary. 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, good olive oil and you can taste that somebody has made deliberate choices about what belongs on it. I ordered the Margherita and added mushrooms, which turned out to be a great addition. The mushrooms were excellent, the tomato had real flavor and the blistering from the oven gave it that irregular handmade character you want from this kind of pizza. The proportions just didn't quite work for me. There was so much crust relative to what was happening in the center that eventually the crust became the meal. Some of the char crossed pretty decisively into black, which I can live with from a very hot oven, but the Margherita also felt strangely stingy on cheese. When the dough is already carrying that much weight, you need enough happening on top to meet it halfway. By the end I was dipping the leftover crust into the ravioli sauce simply to give it something to do. That ravioli, incidentally, was excellent. Easily the best thing we ordered. Tender, comforting, with a tomato sauce good enough that we deliberately saved what was left. The kids demolished it, which is generally a more honest review than anything I can write. The Caesar was the disappointment. There were beautiful whole anchovies on top which I loved and wish more places had the nerve to serve but the salad itself was absolutely drowned. The dressing was so aggressive and heavy that the lettuce had already surrendered by the time it reached us. Soggy, over dressed, oxidized brown parts in the lettuce and far more intense than it needed to be. I didn't have the heart to send it back because nothing was technically "wrong" with it. It was just a good collection of ingredients that had been smothered into submission. Service had a similar problem. Nothing overtly bad, but very little warmth. The new hostess was clearly being trained, so no criticism there. The main service felt more transactional than hospitable. Order, check-in, dessert, check, moving us through the sequence efficiently without ever making the meal feel particularly cared for. The wine recommendation was genuinely good, requests were handled and nobody was rude. It simply felt generic. The space itself is pleasant, especially with the coastal air coming through and there is clearly ability in the kitchen. That is probably what makes the experience harder to rate. This isn't a bad restaurant. There were flashes of something very good here. When the meal was over, the ravioli was still the thing I kept thinking about. There is enough quality here that I wouldn't write Locale90 off and I'd come back hoping some of the smaller things. The balance of the pizza, the Caesar and a little more warmth in the service land differently next time. Three stars, for me, doesn't mean bad. It means there is something good here that hasn't quite come together yet. The ingredients are there. Some of the cooking absolutely is too. I hope they take the criticism in the spirit it's intended, because with a few adjustments this could easily become a place I'm excited to return to rather than one I'm still trying to figure out.
