I ordered lunch from these folks today, the usual spicy chicken teriyaki. You can upgrade an online order to better rice or a bigger portion, but you can't subtract or replace stuff. No big deal, even though I don't love tossing 2 scoops of rice if I can help it. The salad mix is the usual, as are the gyoza. All solid. The spicy chicken comes in a watery dark sauce with a mild kick to it. Still needed quite a bit of hot sauce, but flavor was great. Lots of sauteed onions in this one. The bigger portion really is generous, but it was $4.50 more today. Chicken still tender and plenty juicy. Bottom line, I do happen to have found my old favorite under a new name, so I have my regular stop. But I am more than happy to have Bento Time in the rotation.

Not Go!Go! though. I don't have a single complaint. I called ahead to order and spoke with the guy who answered the phone, he was really nice and extremely helpful. I was ordering for my husband, daughter, and myself and was trying to decided if I wanted to get 1 order to share with my daughter or two mini orders. He explained the difference, and checked the price to see which was more cost efficient. We ended up getting two regular orders. The regular orders are HUGE. It was enough for me and my 10 year old to share, with enough leftovers for her to have it for lunch. I measured mine out at 5oz of chicken, 150g of rice, and half the salad. I'd guess her portion was about 3oz of chicken and 100g of rice along with the other half of the salad. As for the taste, it was perfect. The chicken was moist and flavorful without the sauce being overpowering and it was just the right amount. When I came to pick up the gentleman who answered the phone was just bringing it out (the quoted time was spot on) and he was really nice, even chatting with me about my One Piece sweater. The interior is really cute and very clean. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

My husband chose salmon don and I had the blue fin tuna don. I don't normally enjoy regular tuna but since it was a blue fin tuna I decided to give it a try. Soup and salad was good. The blue fin tuna was disappointing. It was 5 pieces that looked pretty at first but when you dig into it , I figured that the sushi chef put small pieces together to form a piece. It turned me off. It was nothing great after all. Disappointed! We normally enjoy this place but now I feel I'm not sure of this place anymore. Service was ok. Not sure if I will be back.

Opened it up and found gigantic full drums, not drumettes. They must be ordering the better bags of chicken from whomever they use as a supplier, because these are the biggest drums and legs I've seen in forever. One order in, with just one flavor chosen, and these folks are already high in the running for top chicken around here. Today we had a regular chicken teriyaki, a spicy chicken teriyaki, and the broccoli beef. The chicken teriyaki is great, but the spicy chicken teriyaki is on another level. It's hot enough to let you know it's hot, but it isn't so hot that you're leaving in tears. The broccoli beef was delicious too- cooked perfectly. Everything is cooked to order, served piping hot, and tastes FRESH. The gal that takes your order is very respectful and polite. The dining room was spotless, and tables were cleared as soon as they emptied. Having spent nearly 50 years in the Americanized teriyaki capital of the US, I've had my fair share of teriyaki, and this is the best spot hands down. You will not be disappointed.

Prices are standard for the area, ranging from $11 to $15 per roll, but they also offer a fantastic happy hour from 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Sunday, and all day on Wednesdays (excluding holidays). The menu feels comfortingly familiar. The usual apps, solid list of sashimi, lots of classic rolls and then a couple full pages of specialty rolls. Matcha for later. So far you don't feel like you're in crazy territory, though they do list hamachi collar as an all-the-time hot dish, which is cool. So many places run out of it right away and list it only as a special, but not here. The sake list is just enough--a couple of each type, some solid and reasonably-priced house options, a couple really nice picks. You get your sake right away and the miso doesn't take much longer. The takoyaki was delicious and beautiful. Lots of garnish, boiling hot, great flavor. Nice tako bits in there, lots of creamy filling. They garnish the seaweed salad with daikon and load it with cucumber. More places should do both of these things. The cucumber in particular enhanced the flavor a ton. Once the rolls showed up, things got better and better. The Love Hunter and the Amazing were both fantastic. Great combinations of flavors and textures, generously portioned and topped. We got some classic taki too, and that was a great contrast. I love it so much when places nail the classics and the modern. I got the deluxe sashimi dinner. For $36 this is such a value. Every bite tastes clean, rich, and high-quality... exactly what you hope for but rarely find this consistently. My personal favorites? The Chirashi bowl is absolutely incredible, and I'm obsessed with their shrimp & veggie tempura and fried calamari appetizers--perfectly cooked, crispy, and seriously addictive. What really sets Wasabi Bay apart, though, is the experience. The staff is warm, attentive, and you can tell they truly care. On multiple visits, they've surprised me with a complimentary side dish--such a small gesture, but it says everything about how they treat their customers.
