I ordered lunch from these folks today, the usual spicy chicken teriyaki. You can upgrade an online order to better rice or a bigger portion, but you can't subtract or replace stuff. No big deal, even though I don't love tossing 2 scoops of rice if I can help it. The salad mix is the usual, as are the gyoza. All solid. The spicy chicken comes in a watery dark sauce with a mild kick to it. Still needed quite a bit of hot sauce, but flavor was great. Lots of sauteed onions in this one. The bigger portion really is generous, but it was $4.50 more today. Chicken still tender and plenty juicy. Bottom line, I do happen to have found my old favorite under a new name, so I have my regular stop. But I am more than happy to have Bento Time in the rotation. read more

I ordered Bento Time through Ubereats and I was pleasantly surprised! I think they're fairly priced, as I had some leftovers after, which rarely ever happens! I got the General Tsao's chicken, with brown rice. It comes with a standard bento box salad, 2 pieces of katsu shrimp, 4 California rolls, 2 gyoza, and 1 egg roll. There's a ton of variety, and everything was pretty good! This is such a good meal for those of you who like a bit of variety. A couple complaints I have is with their menu on the Ubereats app, it's just a little confusing to know exactly what's being offered in each box. And getting brown rice was an extra $1.50 and there wasn't that much rice! My boyfriend ordered the extra large bento box and he got the same small scoop of rice as I did, but twice as much meat, so it would've been nice if he got a little more rice too. read more

This place has a variety of food to choose from and they have a very neat digital menu. The ambiance is very soothing with the music they play, very classy. I love how they have complimentary water, tea and the choice of miso and egg flower soup (which is very delicious ) i ordered the chicken teriyaki and I was glad to know that they have a smaller bowl option since I don't like to waste food so I don't like to order more than what I eat. So the same story with Bento Time as with Ichi... change of ownership.... it was back in 2013 (may be 2014), and I meant to do an update, but alas, I had a "oh squirrel" moment... for two, may be three, years. In any case, the recipe changed. The new owners are really lovely (I think his name is "Michael") and they swore there was nothing that changed in the recipe, but it absolutely tasted different. Very clean and nicely decorated restaurant. On the inside it didn't appear to be a strip mall location. Comfortable noise level and the children present were so busy eating, they were really quiet! Fantastic Spicy Chicken #2. The regular portion was not that spicy (maybe a 3 of 5) but also included 2 mounds of white rice, salad with a delicious dressing and the large grilled chicken breast strips included onions and exceeded all my expectations! I normally go to Nori Presto for teriyaki near work but I was in the mood to try something new. I read the reviews on Yelp for Bento Time and I'm glad we went. There were so many choices and our food came really quick. On the menu it says they offer free delivery for orders over 5 people and a free can of soda! Next time my coworkers & I will have to do that. Free tea and Free Miso soup is included when dining in. I had the small bento and left fully satisfied. It had teriyaki chicken, salad, rice, 2 potstickers and 2 tempura shrimp and one spring roll. Seating/tables were clean, and I didn't feel the need to grab my food & get out of there. Only weird thing was that they charged 50 cents for soda refills. For the huge profit people make off soda, this didn't seem necessary. But, I will definitely be back. read more

In my opinion, you haven't fully experienced the aerospace culture in the area until your coworker has gotten you in on a group lunch order of chicken teriyaki from this place. They never fail to deliver teriyaki that is still hot. The portions, if ordering the full, are ginormous (scientific term). The price is right -- and I think you get even more than what you paid for. For starving engineers, this place is a godsend. Despite the great value, it's simply not the best teriyaki I've had in the area. Ordered via Ubereats from this place and it was average. Our meal was prepared and delivered pretty quickly so that was nice. Here's what I ordered for dinner: Ramen - literally must have been ramen from a packet with eggs and veggies added to it. everything was mixed together along with the broth so the noodles expanded and got mushy by the time it got to us. they should send broth and noodles separately so that you can combine them yourself. Great place for a quick (or lingering) work day lunch. Love the free serve-yourself soup, hot tea and water. We all got Bento Boxes and they were HUGE. The Teriyaki sauce was delicious, nice char on the meat. 2 full breasts come in the regular sized box. (I wondered about the small boxes and now I understand where that might be useful). My friend who grew up in the area recommended this place to me saying it was his go-to for teriyaki. This place honestly has some of the best General Tso's chicken I have ever had. The chicken is nicely crisp on the outside and the meat is cooked perfectly and tender on the inside. Also, the chicken is not over-battered to be 75% flour and 25% chicken (*cough* Panda Express *cough*). The taste is more on the sweet side but it is offset with a nice sour, citrusy flavor. One critique I have is that the sauce by itself is quite overpowering; they serve the chicken with extra sauce. Mainly there is a strong note of vinegar and it overpowers the taste of the sliced bell peppers and veggies that are served alongside it. Aside from this, the flavor of the chicken is on point! Not only is their General Tso's chicken really good, but so is their chicken teriyaki. I've had a lot of chicken teriyaki (especially in college) and 70% of the time it's too dry or overcooked. The chicken was cooked perfectly to be juicy and moist. Props to the chefs to take the time to marinate and properly cook their chicken! Get the Wok Combo with General Tso's chicken and you will not be disappointed. I'll have to try one of their bento boxes next! Also, they have free fortune cookies. read more

The best salmon teriyaki, short ribs and yakisoba noodles! I eat out about 3 times a week around Seattle and have never had a salmon more juicy and well marinated than this place! My brother enjoyed his short ribs which he enjoyed. My girlfriend and I shared our dishes and it was plentiful portions and generous amounts of rice and salad. Complimentary miso soup and egg flour soup when dining in which were great! The sushi wasn't very good. My spicy tuna tempura roll was HUGE (I could barely pick it up with my fingers, let alone chopsticks), and the tuna inside did not at all appear to be raw, fresh tuna. The tuna was flavorless, dry, and tasted as though it came from a can. The California roll was slightly better, but again, it was obviously not fresh and pretty bland. I tried a bite of my boyfriend's teriyaki and it was slightly better, but not enough so to compensate for the mediocre sushi. I'll be going elsewhere next time. read more

This is a good place, the price is little bit expensive but foods are good, you cannot Togo the soup in the restaurant but you can try and eat the soup in the restaurant as much as you want. If you have more free time, eat in the restaurant and enjoy the soup. read more

After passing by this restaurant countless times and always telling myself that I should try it, I finally gave it a try this week and was pleasantly surprised. My first visit was for lunch. Figuring that I should go with a Bento box due to the name of the place, I first tried out the Large Deluxe Bento (~$12), which came with chicken teriyaki, 8 pieces of California roll, 2 breaded shrimps, 2 gyoza potstickers, and 2 spring rolls along with salad and steamed rice. I came back another day for dinner with my wife and she had the beef bibimbap (~$9) but substituted the white rice for brown rice (+$1). Bibimbap is a Korean dish consisting of rice topped with various vegetables, beef, and a fried egg, and they serve it "dolsot" style in a hot stone bowl. I went with the salmon teriyaki bento (~$12.50), which came with the aforementioned grilled fish, 4 California roll pieces, 1 tempura prawn with tempura vegetables, salad, and steamed rice. I asked to substitute the rice for some extra salad instead and they were happy to oblige. We also got a tempura shrimp roll (~$6) to share. The teriyaki sauce wasn't overly sweet and everything was cooked nicely on both visits. The portions are generous and the sushi was freshly made. On top of that, the sushi rolls were pretty large, much more so than you typically find at the teriyaki joints around town. I hate it when you order a bento box and get wimpy pre-made sushi that's been sitting in the fridge. They also have complimentary self-serve miso soup and hot tea if you dine in. Pricing on their menu is a tad bit higher than other local teriyaki places, but the quality and quantity is also reflective of the slight premium. Definitely a solid place to visit for some good Japanese food without having to pay the premium of going to a full-on Japanese restaurant. They do have different specials that have better pricing (lunch specials and different combos and such), so take a good look at the menu before you order. I've eaten here around 5 times in the last month and the food is exceptional. I've mostly stuck with the Korean food, which is my favorite. The short ribs (galbi) and the hot stone bowl (bibimbap) are amazing. I've only been here for lunch but you get very good bang for you buck as the prices are excellent for the quality you get. Highly recommend this restaurant! Update on 9/10/13: The business has a new owner and things are even better!! Though it was always clean, I've noticed that the restaurant has been scrubbed squeaky clean since the new owner took over. Also there is a new soup station (with miso and egg flower soup) and a new water cooler - both are free. The menu has also been updated. i pretty much eat here 1-2 times per week. My Japanese wife and I had been curious about Bento Time for quite some time. Let me say that I wish we'd stayed curious. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and pot stickers with a small order of vegetable tempura. After 15 minutes we had to reach behind the counter for our drink glasses and the counter around their soda machine was filthy, not to mention they charge .50 for a refill. From the time my plate was set down on the sticky table, something reeked like wet dog. We determined that it was the glaze on my chicken. The tempura and pot stickers were good, though, as were my wife's ribs. She did have black pieces of avocado in her sushi, though. The tables were also sticky and many tables were left unbussed as the owner(?) sat around reading the paper, waiting for the chef to come clean the tables. I am currently fighting to keep my food down. We will be steering totally clear of this place in the future. read more

Just went there for the first time tonight. I was a little skeptical after reading the recent one and two star reviews. Upon closer inspection, those reviews were from people who rate fast food places like Wendys, McDonalds, and even Comcast (LMAO) or were just negative review trolls. I don't know how anyone on Yelp can take people like that seriously... so I didn't and decided to go for it. I had the supreme bento that some other reviewers mentioned. It has a little bit of everything, pot stickers, katsu shrimp, spring roll, salad, California roll, chicken teriyaki, rice, and a choice of either Mongolian or General Tso's. It was so much food I couldn't even finish it all. I was honestly surprised by how great the food is. Even the sushi was completely fresh and crisp. The avocado was firm, the rice was fresh and had the right amount of bite & stick. Once my boyfriend saw how good the sushi was in my bento box he decided to try a Dragon roll. Although it didn't look pretty it tasted amazing! The eel was cooked to perfection and the spicy mayo was the best I have had in the area. Everything was perfectly balanced. It blew my mind how great the sushi was in a little bento place in this tiny strip-mall. The best part to me is that nothing was greasy or tasted of MSG like the majority of other chinese & teriyaki places in Evertt. The only negative things I can nit-pick at was that the sauce the katsu comes with tastes like it's made with white vinegar not rice wine vinegar (which makes it taste more sharp and tart rather then the mild / sweeter taste of rice wine). The wait for the food was a little bit longer then expected but they only had one cook in the back and lots of to-go orders going out constantly. They have complimentary soup and hot tea if you are eating in the restaurant (which we did) so it wasn't a deal breaker for us. We loved the hot tea but they were out of one of the soups (it was an hour or two from closing time). The staff was not very vocal but they seemed nice dropping off our food at the table and when we ordered. This is defiantly our new favorite teriyaki / bento / sushi place. I come here ever few weeks for the spicy chicken dish with my friend. The woman at the front isn't particularly friendly, it almost feels like we are inconveniencing her. Or maybe she's just tired. No prob! After ordering we visit a table with free tea, water and soups! Always grab tea and then wait for our meals. The spicy chicken comes with a salad and a healthy portion of delicious chicken on a bed of rice. The salty, sweet and spicy sauce is addictive!!!! I wish that they would update the space a little. wow this place really good so it's a little hard to find, it's by the verizon store. The small shopping center seems new and the place is clean. i had the bibimbap, a korean rice bowl topped with veggies, beef and egg. This place apparently run by koreans. I usually like this dish because it's more well rounded with balanced nutrition, not as greasy as stir fry. The food was still sizzling when it came out, particularly the egg. It was served in a hot stone bowl thing and it even seared the outside rice just a little crispy, like some good viet crispy rice dishes. The beef and especially the mushrooms were great. It had spinach, cucumbers and carrots also. I think this dish is supposed to be served with hot sauce, but i think some places count on you using hot sauce to hide how good or bad the food was.
