Food excellent. I always find it annoying when a tip is requested at a place where you stand at a counter to get your food and then you place your dirty items in bins yourself.

Efficient spot for a quick lunch. I ordered ahead and went in for pick up. You cant go wrong with the bulgogi meat. I was in the mood for noodle soups, so i went for the yam noodles. I didnt get to read the nutrition info on the noodles, but i was hoping they are low carbs:0. They were delicious, so it was worth it. For under $10, this is definitely a great lunch spot. All the toppings are fresh and have varieties.

I was expecting more from the high ratings at different location. Food was okay but service was poor. Would not recommend this location.

The piano player was taking requests, which made the night feel interactive and more memorable. We tried the coconut margarita, mezcal cider margarita, and the Retro Kitty, and all were really good, but the coconut margarita was my favorite. For food, the crispy lumpia was a great snack to share and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. Service was excellent too. Our waitress, Mayana, was super helpful, kept checking in, and even let us put two tables together so we could better watch the show. They ended the night by bringing us two glasses of champagne, which was such a nice touch. Overall, great cocktails, good food, fun energy, and service that stood out.

I also appreciate how vegetarian-friendly this menu is. Most of the noodle dishes came default vegetarian with the option to add protein. I bristle, however, at the fact that adding tofu costs $9 when a package of tofu costs $3 and you're certainly not getting a whole package. So I ordered pad Thai because it contains egg and forewent an additional protein. A soft drink here is $6. Free refills. But seriously, suck my butt. That alone will make me never come back. I will pay for things that are high in value. But do not overcharge me for the luxury of eating or drinking something that is way cheaper everywhere else in your waterfront restaurant. The food itself. Meh. First of all they need to decide what kind of restaurant they are - Thai? Pan-Asian? Fusion? Because most of the menu leaned Thai but then there was this Japanese udon dish with garlic and shiitake and then a noodle dish with...bacon and brussels sprouts? And mashed potatoes in the side dishes? And a yuzu lemonade but no Thai tea. Kay. Then the food itseld. Ok my pad Thai was tiny, barely qualified as pad Thai IMO, super soupy and difficult to eat because the noodles were all broken and slimy, had very little in it other than egg and noodles and sauce (too much sauce), and cost $26 before adding protein, the cheapest of which was tofu at $9. So we're talking $35 for a small portion of mediocre-at-best, inauthentic pad Thai when there are actual Thai restaurants owned by actual Thai families all over this area serving authentic pad Thai with ample veggies and protein for half that amount. Kay. And there was no option to customize your spice level. This was like...negative spicy. I asked for chili oil. This was some thin ass bottled oil if I ever saw it. I am giving it three stars just because it wasn't actively bad. Again, pretty space, nice servers, the food wasn't gross or anything. I just need to roll my eyes at the blatant corporatization of cultural foods. Lol hashtag capitalism hashtag private equity. I don't ever need to come back here. And get away from me with your $6 diet coke WTF is that.

However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Unfortunately, that feeling turned out to be justified once we looked at the menu and tasted the food. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

I visited on a Friday around 6:30 PM and sat at the bar to catch the end of happy hour (Mon-Sun 5-7 PM). The bar was empty at the time, but a few other people showed up later. The dining room had a handful of tables occupied. In short, easy to get a seat. Drinks were good. I like the Somaek ($6) which is a small beer and a shot of soju. Beer ($7) was beer. We got some beef and pork mandu (dumplings) that were pretty good. 6 pieces for $10 on HH. We got two entrees, the Ddukbokgi ($28) and Yukgaejang ($29), which came with four banchan. Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!

After a quick search, this seemed like one of the closest options near the National Mall. The restaurant was smaller than we expected, but since it wasn't busy, we were seated right away. It's neat and quiet inside and we kinda liked it. We ordered a variety of dishes, including fried rice, noodle soup, bibimbap, and other Korean favorites. The food took a little longer to arrive than expected, though that may have felt longer because we were so hungry. Overall, the food was solid and reasonably priced. My kids especially enjoyed the noodle soup, and I really liked the fried rice (which disappeared before I could even take a photo!).
