I tried this place on a Sunday evening. I got the thecha paneer bowl. The bowl came with a lot of toppings. It was decently sized meal for 1 person I likes the toppings of the onion tomato masala and it went really well with the rice. The paneer missed a bit on the masala - but I am guessing I went near closing time . Maybe it might be loaded with thecha masala earlier in the day. Overall I would be back to try other things on the menu as well

It's a chipotle style part indian-part Mexican food place with a really good chai. Friendly owners and clean seating. I like their concept of indian bowls!

Had Thecha Paneer and Vada bowl and both were amazing in taste, finally something indian version of Chipotle! We also had vada pav and it was also good in taste. Restaurant was clean and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend to try it out! We would come again to try the Gelato ...

Rasa in Newark is super fast. Thecha Paneer bowl has solid spice, soft paneer, and fresh flavor.

It's really quiet…read morehere and seems that people rather take it to go than dine here since there's only one person I saw. The place is kinda dark which is probably the reason why. I was scrolling through the menu and I noticed that some of the words were too small to read especially when they're clumped together. When I was trying to order, they were going a bit too fast by not just quickly telling me what to add next, but also added cheese to accumulate the total price of food when I never ordered it. Fast service could be as bad as slow service, because people could feel rushed. I got Al Pastor Bowl and it's really delicious though. I like how all the ingredients were blended together as I keep on eating it. My small issue is that, it wasn't kind of warm enough but not to the point where I have to microwave it. Honestly, I have forgotten what Al pastor is which is why I got it but again, I'll have to look up online what it is. Overall, the food is good but they should slow down a bit when taking customers' orders especially when they're new here. My other suggestion is to replace a menu where all words can be seen easily to read and to space them out.

This is my local go-to spot for Vietnamese sandwiches and drinks for take out…read more I've visited for over a decade and appreciate how their food is no nonsense and solid. They are consistently very good at what they do! Sure, this isn't cutting-edge, fusion type of Vietnamese sandwiches and drinks but through all these years their tradition of delicious foods are stellar. In addition to their various selection of sandwiches and fresh-made drinks/desserts, they also have hot foods at their hofbrau section for various sides of carbs (rice/noodles), proteins, and veggies. Tips: - no credit cards establishment so bring cash for easiest transacting. - try to visit during non-lunch windows as the store gets quite busy. - their rice rolls with pork or shrimp, in addition to their vietnamese rolls are sneaky addictive. I recommend to try this spot if you're ever in the mood for yummy Vietnamese eats!

Their bánh mì is simple in the best way: really good bread, the perfect amount of meat, and a generous amount of fresh, crunchy veggies. Nothing feels overdone, and all the flavors just work together perfectly. $8 for a large sandwich. I also tried nem chua for the first time, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I thought it was really yummy. Next time, I definitely want to try their shrimp rice rolls. Juicy, freshly fried wings -- but four pieces would be the sweet spot…read more I spent way too long deciding between the chicken sandwich and the wings, and eventually ordered the six-piece crispy wings with an extra tangy garlic sauce. The wings were larger than I expected. They had a craggy, heavily textured coating that was very crispy when fresh. The breading was on the thicker side, but the chicken underneath was genuinely juicy. When I pulled one apart, the juices actually ran onto the toast underneath. They were also extremely hot right out of the fryer, so give them a couple of minutes before biting in. The wings themselves were not spicy. They had a fairly straightforward savory seasoning and were flavorful enough to eat without sauce, which is important because this was not a case of sauce rescuing dry or bland chicken. The yellow tangy garlic sauce, however, was much hotter than I expected. At first I thought the heat was coming from the wings, but it was definitely the sauce. It had a strong combination of acidity, garlic, and spice, and a little went a long way. The white sauce was milder and easier to use throughout the meal. The wings came with one slice of toast cut in half. It seemed like an odd pairing at first, but it made sense once the chicken juices started dripping onto it. The toast absorbed the juices and also helped balance the richness and heat. The six-piece order was $13.99. That is not especially cheap, but the wings were large, freshly fried, and very juicy, so the portion felt fair. My only issue is that fried chicken this rich becomes repetitive after a while. The first two pieces were excellent, the third and fourth were satisfying, and by the fifth I was starting to feel the grease and heavy coating. Overall, Chicken G's does the fundamentals well: crispy exterior, juicy chicken, and wings that taste good even without sauce. I would come back, but four wings would probably be the ideal portion for me next time.

In San Jose, Huong Lan is one of the top places to get decent, traditional Vietnamese sandwiches…read more This location in Newark is a lot closer when you come from SF since it is half the distant. However, the quality and service needs improvement. As soon as my family and I arrived, the cashier lady expected us to be ready to order. There were no other customers in line. I wanted to get the Vietnamese mung bean layered cake aka Bánh Da Lợn, but they only had the Pandan jello aka Thạch Rau Câu Lá Dứa. When I was ready to order, the lady just stood there standing and then said ready now (sounding somewhat annoyed)! I ordered a ham combo sandwich and an avocado smoothie for my kids. I asked if they used a lot of sugar and opted to lessen the sugar amount if possible. She did not offer the sugar percentage and just walked over to start making the avocado smoothie. Then a customer came in and she stopped to greet him, took his order, then finished our avocado smoothie. The avocado smoothie was smooth and creamy but not very enjoyable as it lacked flavor. My kids drank only a few sips and we ended up tossing almost an entire drink even after saying it was like avocado "ice-cream". It was a hot day too. The sandwich took a while to come out considering they had more than four staffs in the back (you could see the kitchen from the front register), but they still moved very slow. Some of them were just chilling and staring at the front of the store. The French bread was fresh and tasty though. They did not add much filling except for carrots and radish. Limited meat, pate sauce, and barely taste the aioli. Sandwich was still good with the classic, traditional Vietnamese sandwich taste but the one in San Jose did not skip on the quantity in ingredients like they did in this location. Our jello ended up have a mold growing so we did not try it. Texture looked solid though. We also bought the pork sausages which were tiny but tasty. Duc Huong for sure wins in all three categories for sandwiches, pork sausage, and having the Pandan layered cake I liked. Overall, this was still a decent place to get Vietnamese sandwiches. Going in with less expectations would make the experience better. They had a large table seating so customers could eat inside or order meals like a normal restaurant.
