Due to some dietary restrictions I ordered the chicken teriyaki without any sauce. It was good and they did not have any issues accommodating my request. My husband has come here many times in the past to order to go, and has been telling me I need to try the sushi here for years, and finally I caved and we came for dinner. We ordered a bunch of different items including Momo hamachi, Orion roll, Galleria roll, uni (depending on the day, they have Santa Barbara or Hokkaido uni or sometimes both; we got Santa Barbara this time), amaebi, baked mussels, and eel. The Momo hamachi came out first, and after one piece, it was like an explosion of flavour burst inside my mouth. It was absolutely amazing, and you could tell they have very good quality fish & ingredients. Every single thing that came out after was absolutely delicious. I normally never eat uni, because the other places we've gotten uni USUALLY have a bitter taste. There was only one place we had been to previously where I liked the uni. The uni here was so creamy and good! It was DELICIOUS! I thought it was because it was Santa Barbara uni, but we came here on a separate occasion and they had Hokkaido uni which tasted JUST slightly different, but still delicious. It was then that I knew that I like uni all along, it was just the quality of uni at this restaurant was much better than the other places I had tried it. Let me take a moment to talk about the staff here. They are absolutely incredible. Not only is our own waiter very attentive, but everyone helps each other out. If someone walks by and notices our drink glasses are empty, they will bring out a new one for us even if they aren't our server. If they notice we have no food in front of us, they check to make sure we don't want anything else or if we are waiting on an order. It really shows how much the staff and owner care about their patrons. I am regretting my life choices for not coming here sooner! Met a friend in Henderson and dropped by for a quick bite to eat. Dropped in mid afternoon during the week so we definitely missed any lunch or dinner rush. Parking is in a strip mall. So super easy. The interior decor is nice and it looked like a place that can accommodate a good size crowd. Since it was mid day we only ordered a couple rolls. Didn't really know where to go, when I searched this place on yelp and seen they had a lot of options in rolls and seeing the pricing was super good. I thought it's def worth a try! So for the crazy roll was super good just the right amount of roll was served. The spicy edamame was a little to spicy for me but still really good flavor to it! Service was friendly checked on me at the appropriate times to see how I was doing. Really appreciated that I was being asked as I was biting a roll. As for the place it's self really nice, quiet the music was taking me back to the day with all their 90s hits. We have been coming to Momo's for years. We have always dined inside, but we weren't in the mood and decided to do take out. We called in our order and went to go pick it up. It was ready once we got there, but we were a little concerned as we ordered 3 different rolls but it was all in one container. Got home and all 3 rolls were tightly packed in. I would have preferred different containers, but that's personal preference. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, but it was a little heavy on the rice. Next time, we will dine inside as normal. I hosted family from the Bay Area over the weekend and took them to Momo Sushi for dinner on Friday night. It was a big hit and a great precursor to their upcoming trip to Japan. Here are a few highlights from the meal: - Service was a complete vibe: When we arrived the restaurant was completely packed, but they were able to seat us at the sushi bar after a short wait. That worked out perfectly. Our server was great. We got to converse with a really hip sushi chef. The patrons sitting next to us were also really friendly, and they even shared travel tips for Kyoto when they overheard us discussing my family's upcoming trip. - The food is top tier: We started our meal with appetizers, which included an order of shrimp shumai to share amongst the group, and I ordered an individual serving of the green salad. The shrimp shumai were tasty, but they were completely upstaged by the green salad. Everything in the salad tasted extremely fresh and the dressing was absolutely scrumptious! By the time I finished my salad, the rest of my food had arrived. I dived into the vegetable tempura next (which was solid) followed by the Screaming Orgasm sashimi bowl (which was another highlight of the meal). After polishing off everything, I had enough room for one more order of sashimi, so I ended my meal on a high note with an order of the always divine O Toro sashimi :)... My family also ordered a variety of different dishes: sushi rolls, udon noodles, and miso soup. They loved everything to the point that they started raving about Henderson's booming food scene afterwards. I think their exact words were "it's been all wins and no misses." - Ambience: Momo has the block on lock! I gravitate towards to sashimi and specialty items like Uni, uni w/quail egg, Toro, Chu toro, o toro, hamachi Kama and all of these are here with superior quality. It seems that other Yelpers either love/hate Momo, but there aren't as many ratings in between - really surprised at the polarization of the reviews! Personally, I felt like it was an okay experience - nothing too standout, but nothing that would stop me from coming back either. We came for an early lunch with a large group. We had a reservation just in case, so they already had a big table set up for our party when we arrived, which was nice. The interior was a bit dark but it added to the ambiance with the hanging lanterns and other decor. The menu seemed fairly standard, with the expected appetizers, entrees, and bento boxes, as well as a variety of rolls to choose from. Their lunch special is customizable and available until 3pm so many people in our party ordered it. They also have a sushi lunch special which comes with a roll (from a preselected list) and 6 pieces of nigiri - a pretty good value at only $16.95! I opted for the small chef's choice sashimi. It was plated well and as an added plus came with 10 pieces instead of the advertised 9. The cuts of fish tasted fresh and were kept cool on top of a bed of ice. Service was surprisingly attentive despite what I read in other reviews, maybe because we came during a less busy time? Our server appeared whenever needed and our water/tea were frequently being refilled. One minor thing that I didn't care for was that the tables felt a little small and overcrowded with all of the items given to us. Not sure if this was just because we had a big group, but they put family-style stacks of napkins, chopsticks, straws, sauce dishes and plates, etc. in the center on both sides of our conjoined table so all of the different things took up a lot of space in addition to water/tea cups and miso soup bowls. Once entrees actually came out, our server even apologized for how large the bento boxes were as he tried to squeeze them in between the other things on the table already (lol). Overall, the visit was...not bad. The food was decent but not mind-blowing, and there weren't any major issues with service - one of the staff did spill some tea on my coat while trying to refill my cup, though, which was a bit disconcerting. This place is on my top 3 best sushi in vegas list right now if you're down for quality and non-AYCE option. A friend of ours brought us here and low key was super duper skeptical but I stand corrected. I don't consider myself a sushi snob and quite frankly appreciate some cheap sushi, but dang, this pandemic has got a lot of AYCE places compromising quality for value so I am happy to pay some regular pricing for quality sushi: I say stick to the classics here, because the fish is fresh and making it "spicy" ruins the flavors. Not a fan of tuna after eating so much of it for years but this place is an exception.
