Just visited for the Grand Reopening earlier tonight and Sin City did not disappoint. Fresh wall to wall decor, paint, and flooring makes the space feel inviting, fresh, and modern. We've been going for 15+ years (since their original location on Eastern and Serene) and they have always been our favorite AYCE Sushi place in town. When they temporarily closed in November, we frantically tried different places and none of them quite hit the spot. Pancho and Young were back tonight serving up the classics, plus reimagined rolls, and yuzu nigiri. Didn't catch our servers name but she was on it taking our orders frequently. The chefs were slammed but they endlessly cranked out roll after roll. They are working out the kinks in working with a new team, menu and system but still managed to kill it on opening night. This is such a great local, family-owned sushi spot and I'm really glad we have it in the area. They offer all-you-can-eat, which makes it easy to try a little bit of everything without breaking the bank. The rolls are flavorful, the appetizers are tasty, and you can tell they put pride into the food. The staff here is also incredibly nice--always welcoming, attentive, and quick to make sure you're having a good experience. The only thing keeping this from being a full 5 stars is the rice-to-fish ratio on the nigiri, which could use a bit more balance. The fish is fresh and delicious, but the rice can be a little heavy compared to the topping. That said, everything else more than makes up for it. It's the kind of place you feel good about supporting, and I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

I've gone here once before and don't really remember too much but went again today with my sister as it was the closest AYCE sushi to us. Went around 4:45pm and it was completely empty inside with just the employees. Big plus as it meant that they were more attentive and experience was more personal. I liked the service that they provided. They took very good care of us and we were able to give our orders whenever. The decor and furniture inside is very plain but it's okay. Just wanted to spend time with my sister. The food is pretty good. We got a few rolls, Mario Special, Vampire and Paradise to list a few, and my sister and I enjoyed it. Absolutely love the baked mussels here! They're exactly how I like it. I would come again but it's definitely not my go to spot. Check came out to about $75 without tip for 2 people. read more

Have been a big fan for many years through a couple of different locations. In the past always a 5 star. Now unfortunately it has a new ownership and things have changed dramatically and not for the better. Service was just fair. The music coming from the kitchen was ridiculously loud and most disappointing was very average quality of the sushi. Several roll were so loosely rolled that when you tried to pick up they just fell apart. In addition they now use a lot more rice in the rolls Overall just a very average experience. It was just my wife, my 5 month old son and it was overall a great service. Our server was attentive and we never had to worry about refilling our drinks or even time of food arrival. Pretty good place! We ended up here when trying to find a sushi place for family that was in town on a Sunday around 2pm. There were only 2 other groups when we arrived and by the time we were eating, we were the only ones left. We were greeted right away and led to a table really quick. We didn't do all you can eat, but I believe it was around $35 for that. This is a bit tucked away behind Pop on Spencer. I ordered the Japanese Lasagna and Paradise rolls. My husband and his cousin got 2 rolls each and shared a hot sake. I thought my food was really good! The guys said they drank the sake really fast because it wasn't too great, but they enjoyed it enough to keep drinking it. Everything came out really quick and tasted really good! Because we were the only ones in there, service was pretty spot on, and we got our food, ate, and were out in maybe 30 to 40 min. I think this place would be great for a quick lunch or somewhere that's quiet for dinner. Nice service, clean restaurant, and good food. I would definitely try it again! read more

I've been here a few times with my brother, because he lives close to the restaurant. I was never impressed with the quality of fish in comparison to other establishments this city has to offer. With that aside - this latest, and certainly last, visit was the worst service I have ever received in this city. The server, an older woman who doesn't seem to speak great English (Night shift Nov 7), gave us pieces of paper and told us to write our orders on it. That's strange, but ok. We write our orders and my brother gets 3 plates of sushi rolls before I receive a single nigiri (my entire order was nigiri). To make things worse, I watched him eat all of his food before I ever saw mine. We even asked the server if the other food was coming, she said yes without checking with the chefs. Turns out that, apparently, one of the chefs had bad eye-site and missed all of my marks. Ok, I'm not mad at the chef for that, but this is why it's typical to have someone take your order verbatim. At the very least, make an effort to check on it when you see one person eating and the other hungry. After complaining, and telling them to cancel my order, I was still given a bill for the beer and edamame I had (all I had for the entire 30-40 minutes sitting down). This is Las Vegas, and I worked food and beverage here for years. This is a situation where things should be comped. I didn't ask for it, but getting that bill put in front of me - after everything - was just another thorn in my side. I will never return and I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been going here for years. Today was the final time. The prices going up was one thing, but now you are paying more than double the price of what you used to pay, for double the rice, and a quarter of the fish. The sushi pieces of fish were cut paper thin. Not like the half inch cut you used to get. Their goal is clearly to fill you up on rice. The place is never busy like it used to be. So I assume they are raising the prices trying to stay in business. Eventually they will realize when you are double the cost of other sushi places, they have chased their customers away. Sin City used to be the best bang for your buck! Great prices and great sushi. That is no longer the case. We have other places we love. They are way more reasonable but just not as convenient. Unfortunately will not be returning. Decided to give this AYCE spot a try as it was nearby and we would always pass by it - very disappointed. 1) Ambience was very dull. There was hardly decoration and had no "Vegas" theme. Very quiet as there was no music as well. 2) The service was bad. Met with the same waitress as other reviews. As soon we came in, we were ignored for a few minutes before the chef finally told the waitress to seat the customers. Waitress made it seem like it was an inconvenience to have any customers as she was not only rude to us, but rude to other people in the restaurant around us. We never received a smile. Was told that some food "wasn't for us (?)". She would leave when we were in the middle of an order, not saying a word. And the only kindness we received was towards the end when paying + giving a tip. 3) The food was not that great. Nigiris were subpar and did not have much flavor. 4) Expensive. Paid almost $40 each whereas I could go to Spring Mountain and pay $25-30 for AYCE with more items, better ambiance, and amazing service. We weren't even done ordering and she just walked away. Then, when she passed by our table, I asked her what other baked sushi options were available.
