Our dryer smelled like "burning electrical". We have four children, with three of them active in sports on a daily basis. We cannot afford to have our dryer down for very long. I called and spoke with Anthony in the morning, and even though he was booked all day long, he still made it to our house. He quickly disassembled the dryer, identified the built-up lint around the burner, cleaned it all up and wiped it down, checked all of the wires to make sure nothing was melted or shorted, and put it all back together. I have 20+ years old Kenmore HE series washer and dryer. Mr. Anthony was knowledgeable, patience, honest and helpful. He told me the truth about the old system I have, and its state of condition. He recommended me to not invest anymore money on repairing the system since the manufacturers have stopped producing any supporting parts for the system. Any parts will be either 2nd hand market of old parts, or not truly reliable parts. Who would be honest to get less money (or business) ? Yes, it's $80.00 to come out and diagnose the issue, which they include in the repair price. So, the service charge is really $180.00, not $80.00. Shady. They charge full factory prices for replacement parts. I had a single LG dryer roller replaced and I was quoted "$45.00 per roller." Okay, you can get FOUR rollers for less than the price of one. I understand business mark-ups, but this is ridiculous. More Shady. They asked to use my step ladder and vacuum and didn't bring their own. Hold on a minute, you get to use my tools and equipment and charge me for it? Is it too much to ask them to clean up after themselves? Just noticed an extra screw... I guess they left that one for me to do something with. That's some Shady sh... They don't take American Express. I decided to go for the repair only to find out after he left my washer was working the exact same way as before he repaired it! I called Anthony 2 weeks ago and also referred him to two of my friends. One didn't call but the other did. Anyway nobody ever showed up or called me. A message was sent but again he never responded. On that Monday, a tech called my friend to reschedule because it was a holiday. My washer broke and I decided to try out mom's appliance. I called and spoke with Anthony who was very nice but I sense he wanted me to use another company closer to my house. I ask for him to arrange someone from his company to fix my washer and he did. Next appointment was only a day away. The consultation fee was $90 to come look at what is wrong with the washer. If you don't use them, you still have to pay the $90 but if you do use them, the $90 go toward the entire repair fee. His colleague came near the time of the appointment and was also nice. He looked at the error code on the washer and said it was the CPU problem - which we already knew from googling. I was hoping there was something else to confirm the problem of the washer since we were paying $90 consultation. He took a look, and left in a few mins. He said he will call me with the quote by the same afternoon or the next day. By 2 days, no call. I called and finally got an answer. Said he can getting the part until 2 days. I ask to arrange the repair and he said he will be here in 2 days to fix it. 2 days again passed, no call. I call on the day he was supposed to come and fix the washer and he informed me he won't be here since the shop to get the part was closed. Promise he will do it after the weekend. I asked again to keep me updated on when he's coming and he agreed. Again 2 days passed, no call again. I had to call to ask for the update in the day of the scheduled repair. Luckily they finally came on that day and fix the washer. The repair went smoothly and care was taken to avoid scratching my floors. Anthony also gave tips on how to manage the washer and upkeep if the dryer pipes. Overall I got my washer fixed correctly and pricing was fair but I was disappointed at the fact that no one calls me back to tell me anything - pricing, when they will do repair or any change in plan. I had to keep calling to get answers when I was told I would be kept in the loop. This make for a very frustrating experience especially if someone was working and need to arrange for someone to be at the house. They had my husband walk outside and trouble shoot something, still dead. But They could see us tomorrow at 10am!
