server was very rude. It's seat yourself there, there was what appeared to be an open booth. it was not and the waitress came and was very rude to us. as we finished eating i was cleaning our area literally busing the table for this young not personable young lady, and as she picked up our dishes she said that they had a lot of people waiting, as if to say leave. She was very rude and the food was mediocre Bobby however, was fabulous!

We were in the Westcott area on a Sunday and decided to stop here for a quick brunch. This was supposed to be a blast from the past except their menu has completely changed from the typical diner food to mostly breakfast sandwiches and burgers. Still I was very excited to try as their food was always good in my SU days. A good change in their menu was the addition of vegetarian/vegan options. We ordered the classic and naked ( on a croissant) breakfast sandwich along with a plate of Texas french toast. The classic one was very basic and was haphazardly put up. The naked sandwich was good and spicy with a buttery croissant and hot sauce. The french toast was thick and fluffy and delicious! Their prices are reasonable as expected. The staff here is polite but the service was slow even when the restaurant was not that crowded. I would recommend this place for a quick bite - specially to cure a hangover!

Needed a quick option for breakfast this past weekend and Mom's Diner was perfect! It had a good amount of tables however it wasn't a sit down restaurant, you order at the counter and then go sit and they'll bring you your food. Everyone was super friendly and service was fast, I just couldn't give 5 stars because I felt the eggs were undercooked in some places in the breakfast sandwiches however people like my husband really enjoy that so he didn't mind! French toast was so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture before we devoured it.

Good breakfast here. We enjoyed the sausage and egg sandwich, and Lox bagel. Tasty and delicious. Fast service as well.

My friends and I were the only ones in this place therefore we got our food REALLY fast. I ordered an egg white veggie omlet and the veggie quina hash on the side which I thought was veyr unique and delicious. There was a decent amount of food for a good price! I recommend this if you want a good diner-like meal for breakfast.

Service is very slow, took over an hour to get our food. People that came in before us got served before us. Wish we went somewhere else.

I sat at the counter and my server was great... very friendly and happy I was there. I got there around 7:30AM and it was basically dead, but by the time I left, there was a steady line of folks coming in. Their menu has all the typicals that these places have, many things I enjoy. I tried their corned beef hash (which I requested well-done with jalapeños added), scrambled eggs with cheese, and I also got a side of their breakfast potatoes with sausage gravy on top. The food came out quickly and was piping hot & freshly made. The quantity of potatoes for a single side dish were HUGE! Definitely enough to share. The scrambled eggs were PERFECTLY made! I'm an egg snob, I never want any over-cooked egg visible (no brown) and these were perfectly colored and tasted great. The corned beef hash was good as well. Overall, I enjoyed this visit and I would most definitely return!

I got the sausage gravy over home fries for the first time and I have never had anything like it - it was warm and salty and had a nice crunch with the cooked home fries. The pancakes were obviously delicious as well. We got helped right away by an amazing server and our food was out within 15 minutes! There were a lot of people but the noise level was great and everyone seemed to be having a yummy and amazing time.

This was the best diner breakfast I've had in a very long time. I'll get my one grouse, not a complaint, out of the way first. The rye bread didn't have seeds. But... The coffee was fresh ground. The pot emptied so fast it was always fresh brewed. I'm a weird coffee person, and that was the best cup out of a Bunn maker I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were properly cracked from the shell, not from a bucket. The sausage patty was made with a mild breakfast sausage, hand formed from loose sausage. Home fries were cooked on the grill with enough peppers and onions to qualify as a serving of vegetables. (My wife approved.) If that is not old school enough for you, the rye toast was grilled, not toasted. Service was great, and the coffee cup never was empty. The parking lot in back is small, so if you have a large vehicle do yourself a favor and park across the street. We went on a Sunday morning. The place was full, but tables turned over quickly enough that we didn't wait. One nice touch, the bowls for creamers and jam were Syracuse China. You have to love a diner that is home town proud. And the breakfast is so good it is worth the few minutes drive off the highway.

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.
