Yes, it's the real deal- the actual small town corner bakery you might have read about in old novels. But it's 2021 now, and Mom is serving up old-fashioned sandwiches on freshly baked fluffy bread. They offer a WiFi connection and will share their printer if you need it. There is a well-stocked Little Free Library just inside the door. If you decide to set a spell to read, or chat with the locals, you should order one of the pastries to go with your coffee . We scored a pair of delicious cookies to take on the road. In summary, we most definitely shall return. BTW, If you can find the Watermelon Thumping arena, you are only a few steps away from this fine bakery.

This is a really nice place, and even the guests are so welcoming when walking in. If you like strong coffee, this is not the right place to get one. Make sure you check in to get a free cookie.

A local favorite for coffee and bite to eat. I had a lettuce wrap. For lunch today and it was so pretty! I know that seems silly, but it was. And it tasted great too. I asked for light mayonnaise and they did it perfectly. The owner, Gretchen, was there and she really is a Mom kind of character. All the staff was friendly. It was fun to be told "I AM the menu" when I asked what they had. Besides Ice creams and about any kind of fancy coffee you can think of they have a limited menu of incredibly fresh food. The counter girl Asked a few questions and guided quickly to my selection. It really was fun. That food was great too! The bread is fresh baked every morning and the cookies are fresh baked throughout the day. No day old stuff is sold here. Now, I must go get a warm out of the oven oatmeal cookie, I could smell them baking and I think they just finished.

Love in the time of Covid-19.... all you need is to open the door of this Main Street, well loved little bakery and you'll be wrapped in the aroma of fresh baked bread and memories of sweet times at grandmas house in the country. Staying at the nearby state park, Yelp did not disappoint bringing us here! Though we couldn't dine-in, there were a few chairs on the sidewalk in the shade and we had the cool experience of watching a train speed by as we enjoyed our lunch. We had the chicken salad garden salad, it was refreshing and delicious; just the right serving size for lunch! Our server said it wasn't so popular, but it SHOULD BE! Worth the stop, and had we not been following keto, oh the bread, I'm sure, it would've been magical!

Great little stop in Luling! We were passing by and I just happened to look on Yelp and see they had a lot of great reviews so we stopped in for lunch. Good sandwiches on yummy bread. The muffins and chocolate chip cookies were tasty too! They have a selection of sandwiches and bakery goods and ice cream. Quaint and small-town diner feel. We love coming here on our trips between Houston and San Antonio of the Hill Country. Their bread is baked fresh and cut thick. Just like in days gone by. The crest is well baked, yet thin and can easiest peel away. Yet you still have this thick soft bread to sink your teeth into. It's so worth it to spend some time here instead of the larger chain stores on the highway. The tomatoes are fresh and today you can tell we're ripened in the vine. Their sweetness reminds me of home garden raise vegetables. The way we were meant to enjoy food. Save room for a cookie or their small batch ice cream. Expect to be greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from everyone. This is a real good charming place to visit

I found Mom's Front Porch at the recommendation from the skydiving staff a couple miles away. It was a blustery day so we had time to kill while waiting for our skydive. We were greeted by the most lovely staff, including the owner Gretchen. The blueberry muffin was my favorite but the banana crisp was good as well. The coffee is pretty good and goes well with their delicious pastries! Definitely a must-visit-locale if you find yourself in Luling, TX.

Chicken salad sandwich on homemade fresh bread, homemade cookies made fresh this morning, and handmade lemonade!

I just moved into some of the offices down the road and with the watermelon thump going on I didn't want to trek very far for food... I noticed this little cozy storefront with people enjoying themselves outside, and decided I'd pop in after hearing about fresh homemade sweets. It was easily the best decision I could have made! Gretchen and the other lovely people behind the counter were warm and welcoming and made me feel right at home at Mom's Front Porch. The chicken salad sandwich is delicious, the chocolate chip cookies are to die for, and the lemonade is PERFECT on such a warm day. They'll definitely be seeing a lot more of me! I can't wait to go back for ice cream and coffee!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We had chicken salad and ham sandwiches, homemade ice creams (watermelon, coffee bean, raspberry, and caramel), all delicious. From the bakery, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies as well as a blueberry muffin. This is a must stop! read more

My husband and I were passing through town and wanted a sandwich when we found this little gem. Moms front porch is far and away better than subway or any fast food you can find. I got the chicken salad sandwich on homemade white bread and it was Devine ! Hubby got the ham on white with pepper jack cheese and he was equally impressed. My friend and I were looking for a place to meet for girls day lunch mid- way between Katy and the Hill Country - Mom's Front Porch was perfect! We had a wonderful lunch (sandwiches with fresh baked bread, and chocolate chip cookie). Stopped in for some coffee. The lady made my wife a "mom's mocha" latte that was absolutely delicious. I got an iced white chocolate mocha, which was also fantastic. Very friendly service. We will definitely be back, and this will now be our go-to spot in Luling for coffee. read more

Talk about hospitality. We stopped in town to pick up a rescue dog and found this cute little place to grab a bite to eat and coffee while waiting for the pup to arrive. The guy flaked on us and the pup never did. They could tell we were sad and cheered us up by bringing us homemade cookies fresh from the oven. These gals are so friendly and have amazing coffee and sandwiches. We will be back when we visit this small town. read more

Great little place for a lunch or a treat! We stopped on our way from San Antonio to Houston. Both of our sandwiches were on homemade hand- sliced bread that was really yummy! My husband found this place when he needed WiFi while we were camping at Palmetto State Park. He had forgotten his wallet and the staff was very accommodating and understanding while he waited for me to arrive with money. Although we didn't eat any of the sandwiches, the coffee and sweet treats were superb. I definitely recommend this place. The service is about the best I've had. read more

These ladies ROCK! Went in at lunch and ordered sandwich, lemonade, and the most wonderful Salted Caramel Ice Cream to go. Discovered when I got back to the office that the ice cream was not in the order. I called and told her I would pick it up later that evening or the following day. 15 minutes later, I had my ice cream delivered to my office by the most wonderful lady ever. You completely made my day! I recommend any of the ice creams, muffins, and sandwiches. read more

Just stopped in on a girl's trip, great little small town cafe. Everyone is so friendly, and the food is delicious! So I was searching for a catering service in the area and this business was in the top 10 on yelp! Well when I asked a friend they immediately informed me of their first experience. They walked in to scope it out to being their mother and her best friend for a.birthday breakfast. After ordering coffee they asked the person at the counter if there was a menu and that person informed them that it was on the sign. As a 38 year veteran of two Police Departments I have frequented my share of coffee and donut shops. My wife and I agree that from New York to Las Vegas to Texas we have not been to any coffee shop restaurant that compares to Moms Front Porch. When you enter you are not only greeted by the owner, Gretchen and her daughter Jessica, each and every customer has a friendly greeting for you. Also, the quality of the food is exceptional. Now let's get to the Pastries. Gretchen makes Pastries that we have never had before and might be illegal in some statesthey are so good. If you live in or are visiting Luling you must make Moms Front Porch a definite stop, forget BBQ and head to Moms. read more

At Mom's Front Porch, we're bringing that feeling to Luling and welcoming in our community to enjoy sweet treats, ice cream, and artisan espresso drinks with us. Established in 2017.

We all have memories of sitting on the front porch with our parents and grandparents, surrounded by friends having a good time. If you have missed that feeling, come to Mom's Front Porch. This may be the last Buc-ee's we visit as our road trip is nearing its end. It's supposed to be…read morethe largest one but one of the other ones we visited seemed the same size for both the pumps and store. This time instead of exploring their packaged snack products I thought about how much room we have left in our car and flying it home so I decided against it. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. Before leaving Doc had us take a selfie and a nice gentleman also took a couple for us too.

The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

We walked into a time warp! 80s wrestling on tv, 50s and 60s music playing on the speakers, old Coke signs on the wall and a framed 8x10 of Kerry Von Erich w/ Iceman King Parsons at the register. They've got an entire back room that looks like someone's grandmas living room from 40 years ago. As cool and interesting as the ambience was, the food was just as amazing. As you might have guessed, it's a themed fancy hot dog restaurant. The dogs themselves are standard sized and delicious I ordered the "Hi Ho Silver" which is topped with cheese, ranch, jalapeño and bacon. My wife has the "Bandstand" which is a chili weiner. Both were served with home fries and both were $4.99. In addition to the weiners, they have burgers, sandwiches and salads. One kiddo ordered the "Wake Up Little Suzy" burger which includes hash browns and a fried egg ON the burger and the other ordered the "Lucy B" salad and they halved it with each other. The owners are a mother-daughter combo and when talking to them (they were very nice) we learned that the cupcakes and lemon bars were also made in house. We also found out why the place has such a goofy name. Seems there's a cartoon from the early 1900s about a "Gentleman Rabbit" called Uncle Wiggily. A relative suggested that as the name, they changed the spelling a little and... BobsYourUncle... restaurant named. I will say the same is perfect. The place is slightly odd, fantastically eccentric and a little goofy. And the food is priced great (family of 4 in and out for under $30) and is delicious. It's totally worth a trip from out of town to Luling just to eat here... and if you're driving through try and time your hunger right. You won't regret it.

I needed a cold treat to cool me off after my hike. I did a quick Yelp and Google search to confirm I wasn't embarking on a nasty establishment. Both sites checked out with their high star ratings. Only 10 minutes from the state park, I was en route. Upon arriving, there was a long line for the drive-thru. It was already a scorcher outside, I just wasn't looking to be too much more in the heat bath; so I decided to wait in my vehicle in line to order. After 20 minutes of waiting, it was finally my turn. I ordered #54 (the most vegan snow cone with fruit and no cream/caramel); and a mangonada sorbet. After a few minutes, the sweets were out. Heaven on muthafu~~~ earth this place is delicious!! It hit the spot so hard that it placed me into a sweet tooth coma that I wanted to immediately sleep and not drive back to Houston. The amount of syrup saturates the ice. No dry spots. The mango sorbet has bits of mango with its sweetness. Each time I pass through Luling whether that's coming or going; I make sure to stop here! Ive ordered the coconut sorbet without cream or caramel, but with nuts and it's so divine. I tried the mangonada, the best I've ever had. I've brought Sneakers and they gave him a free small cup of ice with cream. He gobbled that right up! I've even brought my parents and they loved it! Daya's is locally owned and family operated; you can't go wrong! Every person who works here has been very kind and always get my orders right. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quantity you get. I will always give them business to keep them open. Give them a try today!!

This is the best place to eat in luling tx, amazing service, food, and prices. They have great coffee and ice cream, with homemade muffins, cookies, sandwiches, and so much more. The service is quick and all the people are friendly and kind. They also sell gifts and stuff like coffe mugs, books, and jams. The prices are extremely good for amazing service. Wow this place is wonderful. The owner was there and she handles things so smoothly. She opened the door for me when she noticed I use a walker. The coffee pot is obviously cleaned a lot because it's smooth without a taste of bitterness. I also had an oatmeal cookie. Perfect moistness and slightly chewy with a crunchy crust.
