Special of the night snapper with local mushroom stuffed squash blossom over mashed potatoes
    Kathleen M.

The views, the bar, the restaurant, the service, and the food all make for a wonderful experience!!! Great date night with my husband! And even a rainbow for show!

This place is amazing. It was our first time having dinner here and it is probably one of our favorites in the Blue Ridge area. Service was absolutely over the top. Ambience is above amazing. We had the skirt steak and fillet. Probably the best steaks we've ever had at a restaurant. We are big-time foodies so we're pretty picky.

Snapper Tiradito delicious and unique with a slight spice to it

I always go into a meal optimistic--ready to be wow'd and eager to rave about it to anyone who'll listen. Sadly, when asked how dinner was at The Falls, my answer will simply be: "It was just ok." What's great:The landscaping and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the design--it highlights the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains while still feeling warm and cozy. Plush outdoor chairs, heating lamps, and a lovely view make it an ideal spot for a fall evening (rain kept us from enjoying it this time, but I loved the setup). Inside, the restaurant is just as stunning--vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, and large windows overlooking the mountains. Where things went sideways:Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away. A young woman came by offering still, sparkling, or tap water. When we asked what brand the still water was, she replied, "I don't know--it comes in a bottle." Not the best first impression. No introduction, no welcome--just the water question and a quick exit. Thankfully, a few minutes later Sebastian arrived, introduced himself properly, and immediately improved the tone of our evening. Cocktail menus weren't on the table, but he brought one when we asked. My husband ordered the Old Fashioned, and I had the Lavender Mist. Both were good, though the Lavender Mist was a bit sweet for my taste. Then came the bread--dropped on the table by the same first server with a quick "Here's bread" before walking off. When we asked Sebastian for olive oil and vinegar, he kindly went to find some for us. Moments later, another server stopped by to borrow our cocktail menu for another table... and then another came asking for the olive oil and vinegar. It was hard not to laugh--it seemed the restaurant only had one of each to share. A bit surprising for a fine dining establishment. Appetizers:Outstanding. We had the Burrata & Prosciutto Salad and the Snapper Tiradito. The burrata was soft, creamy, and perfectly balanced--highly recommend. The tiradito was fresh and creative, with peppers and mango in a mildly spicy red sauce. So good! Entrées:My husband ordered the highly recommended lamb, but they were out--only an hour after opening. Sebastian explained the new batch had arrived that morning and wasn't ready yet, which was a bummer. My husband switched to the sea bass, and I went with the shrimp scampi. Sebastian helped us select a great bottle of wine to pair with dinner--excellent recommendation. Dinner arrived via two food runners who "auctioned off" dishes ("sea bass?"). For a fine dining experience, table numbers would've been more fitting. Then came the real problem--the smell. Something on the table reeked, and we quickly realized it was my shrimp scampi. Sebastian approached right away, smelled it, and immediately took it back. He offered to have it remade, but I declined, worried the whole batch of shrimp might be bad. I reordered the Snapper Tiradito, but it arrived after my husband had finished his meal, so we ended up eating separately--not ideal. The manager came by to apologize and was very receptive to our feedback. I appreciated that. Sebastian later brought a lemon sorbet birthday dessert for my husband, which was a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately, we didn't see him again for quite a while, so I missed the chance to order coffee or espresso before the check came. Overall:The setting is stunning, and there's clear potential here--but the service was inconsistent, the food uneven, and the price not justified by the experience. If you go, I'd suggest stopping by for a cocktail and an appetizer to enjoy the view--those were the highlights for us. Sebastian was a great server and helped make up for the multiple mishaps. Extras: * Bathrooms have great lighting (though oddly, the soap dispenser was empty by 5:30 p.m. on their first open night of the week). * Valet parking is located at the top of the drive. Dax, our valet, was excellent--friendly and attentive. When we got home, I ended up making myself something to eat. My husband laughed and said, "$400 for dinner and you had to cook yourself a meal afterward?" That about sums it up.

The property is breathtaking, and the Falls are lovely. All of the landscaping is divine. We took some gorgeous pictures, and it was a perfect March day. We came for the brunch. It was a fancy spread. I filled my plate with a variety of foods. My favorites were the fruit, twice-baked potato, croissant, deviled eggs (there were two types while we were there), and smoked salmon. I was not a fan of the fish the had as it was too dry and cold. It was fun to try and see the place. Remember, they can't start serving alcohol until 12:30.

There's complementary valet. The appetizers were amazing. DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THE CURRY SEAFOOD SOUP! (If you can handle a little spicy). We ordered the soup, shrimp cocktail, seafood ceviche, Mahi Mahi Entree, mushroom risotto, brussel sprouts, asparagus, crème brûlée, and they gave me an apple tart for my birthday. Unfortunately, the brussel sprouts were undercooked and under seasoned, the risotto had good flavor but the texture was overcooked regular rice, the asparagus was dried out and not very good, and the crème brûlée was not cooked correctly so it was grainy. I was very disappointed because to fast is my absolute favorite dessert to both eat AND make myself but did not send them back. Other than that, they would've gotten 5 stars. SERVICE WAS AMAZING THANK YOU DAVID! The ambiance was laid back and upscale casual. The entire restaurant and grounds are breathtaking!

This was a terrific dining experience! Our waitress Beverly was extremely nice and attentive to our table. It was a quiet Thursday evening when my party decided to dine right at sunset. Firstly, what a BEAUTIFUL restaurant and plot of land. The ambience was serene and elegant. All staff were efficient and perceptive and the manager was very hands-on with customers and his team (which is always a nice thing to see). The menu is extensive and provides an array of options suitable for any audience---steaks, seafood, lamb, pastas, salads, etc. American-style with European and Asian flare. They have a free bread and butter service but both items were extremely lackluster. Our party ordered the crab cakes and beef carpaccio for starters. The carpaccio was really good; onion-y, tangy but balanced by its fattiness (most carpaccio I have tried is always rather dry so this was refreshing). The crab-cake was alright but could have been cooked more. Our choice of entree was the 40-oz dry-aged tomahawk, which was cooked to perfection!! The flavor was salty and charred, but nothing special. The sides of mashed potatoes, truffle Mac and cheese, hash brown casserole were good (again nothing magical). Personally, I chose the bone marrow and beef tartare, which were fine with a side of their rum-baked plantains. I was looking forward to tasting a hint of the liquor flavor, but I was disappointed since I only tasted cinnamon and sugar. Our choice of desserts were the passion fruit crème brûlée and the limencello cake. Unfortunately, the crème brûlée, despite its beautiful presentation, was watery. However, the cake was robust yet light, which my party enjoyed. Our waitress, Beverly was very cordial and took the brûlée off of our bill after we communicated our dislike. Overall, service was impeccable, food is good but lacks a bit on flavor and execution (not to mention expensive). Beautiful bar and a great place to visit!

Ah-mazing! I was looking for a place to celebrate my 27th wedding anniversary while we were in Ellijay. This place came up in my search and didn't disappoint. Justin was our server and suggested everything. His directions were spot on. The Smokey Old Fashioned was a great start to the celebration. We moved on to a skirt steak that so tender it could be cut with a butter knife. My wife had the citrus sea bass over pumpkin risotto - so delicious. The dessert of vanilla bean crème brûlée and special (not on the menu - but should be) served gift was a great ending to the meal. The grounds were amazing to walk. The waterfall and Koi pond were relaxing. It was a great night at an amazing restaurant. I recommend this HIGHLY!

The best thing about The Falls is its ambience. I went with a group of girlfriends and we had a fantastic time, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The food was good, but honestly it took forever to get our food so I was starved by the time we got our dishes. There were very small plates but it wasn't brought to really be much if anything when divided between all of us. Me and another girl had the Riesling and our first glass was absolutely delicious, not too sweet but not too tart, however when we ordered another glass it was so insanely sweet it wasn't really drinkable, we told the waiter and he got us another glass, however it still wasn't the same as the first glass we got. We were a big party so I can understand the confusion, the only thing that disappoints me is I still don't know what that first wine we had was, because I would love to get it again sometime. Overall this is a great "special occasion" restaurant, everything is top quality which is why it's expensive. My only qualm was about the time it took to get our food, and that there should have been another waiter to help out with our party because while our waiter was phenomenal and he had people helping bring out food, it would have been better all around to have 2 waiters designated for our party.

Amazing experience will be had here. The ambiance is unlike any other restaurant I've been to. Service and staff go out of their way to please. The food is great as well. Make sure to reserve a table for outside in front of the main waterfall. Doesn't get much better, enjoy!

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic! The service, food, and atmosphere is easily the best experience we've had. We will definitely be back!

My BF and I went to The Falls at Blue Ridge for Sunday brunch in Elijay. The food was pretty good, not as much selection as on their website. There was no omelet station and Only 2 carving stations and 3 desserts...their website shows MUCH MORE options. The buffet area is pretty small, but the grounds are absolutely Amazing!! This is also a wedding venue....The beauty of this place does not disappoint! Brunch is $55 pp Not sure if its woth it or not...Jordan was our waiter he gave us great service and answered all all questions about this beautiful property. Come for the brunch and see for yourself, Stay for the beautiful landscape and stunning water falls!! Update: Jeff the restaurant manager made this mishaps up to my family on the next visit! Thanks Jeff.

One of the best restaurants in blue ridge!! The property and restaurant is beautiful. Food was amazing and service was even better. All steaks were cooked perfectly and really good. We celebrated a birthday and they brought out a dessert for us. The staff was super attentive and helpful to everyone. We had a big group and sat at one long table which we liked. Highly recommend!!

A very charming unassuming little boutique store front with some tee shirts and souvenirs when you first walk in. Then you whisper the magic password and the gentleman escorts you through a narrow little doorway, a vestibule and door then opens to a perfectly recreated 1920's prohibition speakeasy. The motif is perfect from vintage art work on the wall to the hanging chandeliers and the big leather couches and chairs all in a very dark lighting. There is one way glass so you can see whoever comes into the store ( police or significant other) but they can't see you! Lol. And you can't leave through the front where you came in. You are guided to the back of the establishment to the back door which lets out into a narrow gangway then to the alley. I think Al Capone himself was going to jump out at me. lol. The bartenders/ mixologists further raise your experience by providing enjoyable banter and well made cocktails. Espresso Martini's and a Donut Raspberry Cheesecake were the drinks and dessert of choice and both were amazing. If you wind up going I suggest for you gals, a flapper dress with the beads and sequins with a cocoon coat and some tee strap heels. Guys your fanciest fedora and some two tone lace up oxfords. Either way you're gonna have a Roaring 20's great time. Not real big but we made a reservation a day ahead. I loved the Appetizers - shrimp and jalapeños - crispy with a sauce kinda like bang bang shrimp, but better. Brother had a half wedge salad and loved it. The fried Brussels were very tasty with Parmesan cheese and bacon with a Balsamic drizzle. No bread served with the meal, but it wasn't missed. I ordered Blackened salmon with couscous. It was good, cooked properly, but when I tasted my sisters trout, I wished I had ordered it. Panko crusted with collard greens. It was the best. Crispy on the outside, tender on inside and not a real fishy taste. All had a bit of a balsamic juices had seeped into all from the collard greens, which was good but prefer more savory flavors. But enjoyed it immensely. The Roasted chicken was just okay with mashed potatoes. But the best thing of the evening was the apple bread pudding with salted Carmel Ice Cream (Not pictured). A great meal in the North Georgia Mountain area.
