This office is amazing! The dental chairs can change to so much different positions for your comfort. In addition they have lumbar pillows etc. Never ever seen in a dental office! I'm a huge fan of Dr. Mona and her awesome and talented staff. My silver fillings were from my childhood and over time with wear and tear, four of them failed and resulted in cracks in the molars. The precautions taken during this Covid time were noted and appreciated, super sanitary rooms, bathroom and waiting area. This practice also boasts state of the art equipment. I moved to Petaluma from the mid-Peninsula in October 2008. As I've spent a lifetime sitting in dentist's chairs--root canals, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions--you name it, I have a horrible fear of anything going on in a dental office! New to the area, I asked around for a dentist who would treat me gently and honor my fear. I was led to Dr. David Christensen who had been practicing right in my Oak Hill neighborhood for his entire career. Dr. Christensen became my dentist; he met my criteria and then some! When he sold his practice a year or so ago to retire, I was devastated. I was unsure of this new young gal who bought the practice. I considered changing dental offices entirely; however, when it came time for my regular cleaning, I decided not to practice contempt prior to investigation, and check it out. I had my teeth cleaned by the hygienist and briefly met Dr. Mona Mahmoodi. Luckily, no problems were revealed from that cleaning and I was sent on my way. I left still skeptical and unsure whether I'd make a change before the next cleaning. Well, time for the next cleaning arose all too quickly, so I returned to Dr. Mona's office. This time, there was a problem with a back molar. Dr. Mona explained everything that would be required to fix the tooth. I decided to have the molar extracted rather than incur the expense of a possible root canal and new crown (I'm retiring at the end of this month). Every horror story I've ever heard about extractions came to mind, even though I was the one who chose the procedure! I had the extraction last Friday. Because of my fear, I require Valium the night before and day of any intensive procedure. When my friend took me to the office, I was sufficiently relaxed and almost fell asleep in the chair while waiting. The gums were numbed topically before the Novocaine was injected. I did not feel the injections. Dr. Mona then began the extraction. Know what? I didn't even feel the wiggling of the molar and it was out before I had time to conjure up any horror stories! Dr. Mona was kind, gentle and considerate throughout! Icing on the cake: I received a telephone call from Dr. Mona ON SATURDAY to see how I was doing. Boy, did I feel well cared for and very happy with my new dentist! The 5-star rating above is cast in stone! read more

I seriously love this place! I never thought I'd say that about a dentist haha! I had an icky experience years ago, so I avoided the dentist for years....(big mistake teeth wise) but Dr. Mona and her beautiful staff always give me an amazing experience there. Anyone I recommend to them feel the same way. She does an amazing amazing job, is perfectly gentle, just exceeded any expectations I had in a dentist... and I always feel so much love when I'm there, it's like hanging out with your friends...at the dentist! Wayne and I have been going to Park Plaza Dental for over 10 yrs. Dr. Christensen sold his practice couple of years ago and we were devastated and wondering if we would need to switch over to another dental office. We took the chance to stay with Dr. Mahmoodi and we cannot be happier ! She is the bomb ! So professional, highly skilled, gentle, and so pretty ! An amazing dentist and caring human being! Dr. Mahmoodi gave up her Saturday afternoon to treat me when I face-planted and destroyed three of my front teeth. She got there right away, went to work in a professional and very caring way, and by time she was done one hour later, I could actually smile again and not look like a vampire. I have been seeing Dr. Mahmoodi for about a year or so, and she and her entire staff are always top-notch, but this was over the moon in terms of caring and professionalism. I've been here several times in the last 5 months (poor Irish dental care means I need much work). Every visit has been 5 stars. The entire staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you consistently, particularly when you need a little flexibility settling bills or ask endless questions etc. This visit I had Dr Christensen, all previous visits were with Dr Mahmoodi. Both were excellent and patient, both have fit me in at short notice when they heard I was in pain. Patty, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Michelle, Maria and Ally are among other members of staff I can only speak highly of - and I am likely forgetting someone (terrible with names). My Dentist was on vacation when I got an infected tooth, go figure right. She took my tooth out right away and was very skilled in doing so. Her staff was great as well. Apparently she took over for a dentist that has retired and was also very well respected. I'm not even one of her regular patients yet she was able to handle a serious matter in a very quick way. I am very grateful to have been treated by such a good dentist and person. A week after the hard procedure and all is well. So nice to get that infected painful tooth out. I am getting over a horrible dentist on the east side of petaluma. All I had was a chipped tooth and it turned out to be the worse thing that happened to me in a long time. He was horrible and there was a weird relationship between him and one of his staff. Now, I have something much worse but because of this great dentist it went without any problem. She graphed my bone as well for a future fake tooth. Her rates also seamed very fair. She is so good I am even considering changing her to be my dentist even though we like our new dentist too. Dr. Mahmoodi is a life savor. I have referred a friend to her. She changed his life. He has been suffering from tooth ache and missing teeth for many years. He has gone through many unsuccessful dentures and partial dentures over the years with other dentists. Dr. Mahmoodi made him a denture that sits over the implants and he does not need to remove it. Dr. Mahmoodi and Everyone who worked with my 6 year old daughter to fix her first ever cavities was wonderful. I was very nervous about how my daughter Sky would handle it and Dr. Mahmoodi made Sky feel so comfortable (and mommy) she explained everything so that she could understand before every step she would take. Dr. Mahmoodi is an excellent dentist. Recently she removed a cavity from under a crown and replaced it with a new crown like 1-2-3. In fact, the new crown needed no drilling adjustments which was just fine with me; it fit beautifully (I have a mouthful of crowns and that's never happened before.).
