Those good review abt eyelashes are from those who have never had an eyelashes before. Thats why they said its good. Not saying abt the Price, if you do eyelashes extension you know the price for refill around $40-$100 depend on how many weeks and where u go to. This place charge me $30 for refill ( instead of $20 like ads because they say I have my lashes on so ....!?!?!?!) In order to fill new lashes, they need to remove the old one right ? This place DOES NOTTTTT!!! They basically just add on top of my old lashes. And before asking customer to open eyes, they need to USE FAN TO AIR DRY the glue BEFORE open eye right ? This place asked me open eyes first for them to check if its nice, they continue do , then open , then when they done, they ask me to close eye to FAN AIR !!!! What a crazy thing ! My eye has been watering the whole time already, and the glue is dry now. Why need to ask me close eye for the fan to dry ????!!!!! And in order to remove old lashes, they need special equipment and stuff to make sure your own lash not drop out right ? This Place use hand to pick it out !!!!! So im like NO NO i will let it drop naturally. And they dont even know what is COMB the lashes . They dont even comb the lash, instead they use finger to adjust it. If you do it the right way in order place, final step they will comb your lashes. This place has no idea what is that !!!!!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I decided to try this new place since I live near by, big mistake! I went in for a mani and pedi. The pedi was just ok, the gel manicure was awful. I left thinking it was ok but less than 24 hrs later all my nails had cracked and started peeling. I called to complain and they asked me to call back since the owner was busy. The owner returned my call and told me to come back and they'd redo my nails. I didn't go back since I just didn't have the time. My nail Polish on my toes has since chipped as well and it's been only 2 days. I'm never coming back here again, wish I had read the yelp reviews before going there. read more

Update: so I went in for eyebrow threading months later. Marilyn did a great job and I don't mind paying $10. To my surprise the place is under new owner. She's very sweet. Her name is Iris if I'm not mistaking. Her assistant whose name is also Iris is really sweet down to earth and makes you feel comfortable like you known her for years and catching up while getting your eyebrows done. We had a good fluent conversation none of that BS to try and get you to come back. You can feel the difference in the air. Give them a chance they are Central American and they will not rip you off. If they have a price on the banners/walls/windows where ever posted they honor it. If you feel one of the Employees there wants to or is over charging you bring it up to the owner and she will put them on check. Ive come here before the girl who does eyebrows is amazing only bad thing is that it seems like they only have one person that does eyebrows and it seems that when she's not there no one else will do them for you. I've come here on 3 separate ocations and she's on break or not there for the day. It would be good if they hired another person. Another bad thing about it is that people that work here don't acknowledge you as you walk in. They will let you sit there and not bother to ask you what are you in for? On 3/2/17 I walked into this shop. Thought I'd give the locate business a try. I asked the girl about individual lashes. She said they don't do individual that the lashes they used had 2-3 lashes that are attached to my own (Russian volume) was nice enough to show me pictures on their IG. Even pointed her own out saying that she had the same thing. Since this was new (keep in mind that I've been getting individual lashes done the past two yrs) I asked how often do I need a refill she said once a month. Karina took me to her station and proceeded with placing the lashes on. Once they were done they felt heavy but I didn't say anything because this Russian volume was new to me. Three days later I wake up to get ready for work as I splashed my face with water one last time I come up with half of my lashes on the left eye gone (and no that's not the side I sleep on). With just a little bit of the corner piece half on/half off I removed it. Considering not going to work (one eye full lash and the other with nothing) I decided to go to work and avoid making eye contact with my coworkers. I looked up the shop hours on yelp and it showed them being open. After work I drove straight to the shop only to find that they're closed. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. I'm a licesend cosmetologist and I also do eyelash extensions (family/friends only) so I know now when she said they use lashes with 2-3 lashes was a lie. They basically took a eyelash strip cut it in three pieces and applied volume in between and charged me $70 for it. This place is a rip off and big scam. I'm writing to BBB. read more

So let me start off by saying.... save yourself time and money! I came into the salon after seeing a special for $20 for eyelash extensions. As soon as I walked in the place it was pretty busy...I asked about the eyelash extensions and to be honest I had no knowledge about the the process since it was my first time getting eyelashes and my first time at this salon. I asked the girl up front about this service. She was having lunch, was overwhelmed with the customers coming in, was nice and some what explained what she would be doing. The salon was full and since they had no room she sat me down in a chair next to some other lady that was getting her nails done. She asked the other girl "where is the hand sanitizer?" In my head I'm thinking you should be washing your hands before you touch my face especially since you were just eating...sure enough she just sat next to me and said close your eyes and don't open them at all. She popped a piece of gum in her mouth & started doing the eyelashes...TBH her breath smelled like so much onion I was holding my breath since she was so close to me. I obviously had to breath so ugh. Anyways, she was back and fourth taking care of the phone and taking care of customers in the front. A lady came up to her and said I need my eyelashes done too. She said yeah grab a card and if you wait I'll give you a 10%discount . She finally finished with me and when I opened my eyes I had glue all over the bottom of my eyelashes and she just kept saying don't touch them! I said, "I need to take off the glue from the bottom." She replied "if they get messed up it won't be my fault" yet she should know better than to add so much glue that it dripped all over. She put a fan to dry them out a bit and after that she charged me and I mentioned to her do I get a 10%discount too? She laughed and said no. She said you will get $5off if you write a yelp review. I did just to get the discount but after I got home I didn't realize what bad of a job she did. If I could give 0 stars, I really wish i could. I went to the salon 2 days ago to get eyelash extensions and paid $60 for them. She told me they would last a month so I believed her. After i got them done, they fell off within a couple of hours when she said itll last up to a month. Today, I came back to the salon telling them what had happened and that I want my money back. They told me that they could not do anything about it or give me my money back because I posted my review on Yelp. Like okay??? Im not entitled to my own opinion? I came in in hopes of getting my eyebrows THREADED by the original girl (who's name I can't remember) but found out she no longer works here. I can appreciate the effort but my eyebrows look exactly the same, nothing great and it was something I could've done myself. I was pressed for time so I couldn't spare any more time and had to leave right away. She used tweezers for my cleanup when I was expecting to get them threaded, because that's what I came in for. The other girl would shape them nicely and you'd be able to tell you actually got your eyebrows done. Eye Lashes!! Say away! After taking an hour to install and being coughed and sneezed on my lashes were finally installed. When I looked in the mirror I noticed that one was not completely on right and asked for her to fix it. She told me no, that it was fine. Clearly the eye lashes rising up is not an indication that it is in all the way. After just 2 days both eye lashes came off without any assistance. Very disappointed with the wait time. Went in to get acrylic nails, eyelash extensions and my eyebrows tinted. The tint was a upsetting not what i expected. I was overcharged on the eyelash extensions $5, and didn't get my acrylics because they decided to do 3 people that arrived after me before. Spent 1 hour and a half to not be satisfied. Several monthes ago went to try them out for lashes 20 bucks it was a special, since they had recently opened. I'm from the Bay Area, but come to the Valley often. I have been trying out different nails salons, trying to find the best one for me, but still hasn't found it until now! I believe her name was Maricella who did my nails, and when she started to take my previous gel manicure off with the filer my fingers really began to hurt. I have really sensitive nails, so it wasn't a surprise to me that it hurt, but most nail salons never offer me an alternative so I just usually push through the pain. But she then took an alternative method to remove the gel manicure. Even though it took longer, she took notice that I was uncomfortable and didn't hesitate to ask or change the method for me. My nails really did come out beautiful, and I really appreciate the time and effort it took to get them there. I will definitely be coming back to this nail spa. read more

So I have started coming to this new nail salon, seriously it is around the corner from my house. I read all the reviews and was a little nervous to go but the convenience was unparalleled. So my first trip was back in early December if memory serves me correctly. Well that trip I was with my son and I had an appointment, I meet the owner Kristy she actually did my pedicure - oh sorry yes my appointment was for pedi/mani. As I let Kristy know I read the reviews she was curious what I thought, I am a business woman so I gave her my honest opinion, reviews are opinions - opinions that can be forever burned into the internet. Doesn't mean they are true and doesn't me they are a lie they are opinions. Now, some people go overboard and well I think if you are reading this review you know what I am talking about. What I like about Kristy and her dream turned reality is she has had and has several business and different kinds of businesses, she knows how to service her client. What I like about Monaco is the business is constantly evolving and for the better. From my first visit to my very recent visit on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 AM. Kristy had quite a bit of girls working for her, some good some bad - she cleaned house and when I say she cleaned house she cleaned house. Now, there is good and bad to that, she has quality girls now but please be patient and make an appointment seriously, you want a service provided - call make an appointment save yourself the negative impact of spending time waiting - and spending time waiting and getting upset because you are waiting. Everyone there is wanting a service and we are all paying the same amount of money for that service. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT LADIES/GENTLEMEN the number is above it take three seconds if that. Now I don't really want to tell you about my nail tech because the only one that is going to suffer is me... :) Marcella is AMAZING and so nice and professional. Marcella tried to save my stiletto nails that were done by one of the no longer there individuals, and boy did she try. Finally, I just decided to take them all off and start again that was my Saturday appointment. Can I just say Monaco and Marcella have Lacquer beat, yes I said Lacquer - WOW was that a waste of money and the service there was HORRIBLE so unprofessional I would never spend money there again - at Lacquer that is... Marcella did an amazing job on my stiletto nails and I am super picky with my stiletto nails, that point better be just right our I am not happy and I was over the top happy. YES they were better than "L" and way cheaper... Now If you are going to get lashes, seriously you need to understand there are different levels of lashes and different types of lash extensions. I have my lashes done and have had them done since 2012 so I know my lashes - I have spent $300 on last extensions and $150 on refills. I have seen the lashes and how the lashes are done and they are nice. But I am a lash snob, my lashes are done by a lash technician that I know and trust and she does them for me exactly how I want every time, so I am happy. For all the complaints about lashes, talk to Kristy explain to her what you don't like and she will fix them. Don't go home and write a review on what you don't like, that is not fair to anyone. Also, LASH CARE - people if you rub your eyes hard your lashes are going to come off, if you get them wet right away your lashes are going to fall off, if you wear mascara and wash it off ladies your lashes are going to fall off. You have to learn how to take care of lashes, you can't sleep on your face your lashes will bend fall off, you have to be careful with your lashes. Oh you went out clubbing and your lashes fell off well lets see you were sweaty from well whatever you were doing... THEY ARE GOING TO FALL OFF LADIES. The lashes are held on with GLUE not CEMENT come on you do know your natrual lashes fall of too, right. It is a hair follicle just like the hair on your head, arm, leg there is a hair cycle and during the summer when it is hot hair falls out faster. Like I said educate yourself on lashes so you understand, Lashes fall they are suppose to. If you are looking for natural looking lashes tell Kristy bring in a picture of what you want, she will tell you what she can do. LADIES, Kim K her lashes believe when I tell you she is probably wearing two maybe even three STRIPS of lashes yes I said STRIPS you know the ones your aunt used to wear. YES THOSE. Understand that your natural lash can't hold that kind of weight, lashes are individual to each person everything comes in to play length of natural lash, curve or lack of curve, yes quantity of lashes. Don't come in and think you can walk out looking like Kim K, its not possible unless you use strips. So ladies educate your self on lashes before you make the decision. Let me start by saying Christy the owner is very rude and lacks customer service skills. Red flag right there. I had the whacked 30 minute microblading. What a horrible job. Never drawled my eyebrows! Or did she measure. I asked for thicker eyebrows and was told that it wasn't possible. When it came time to leave and I had to ask for the after care instructions, well Christy had no idea of the name of the ointment I should use. Like really?!!! Her lack of knowledge alone was enough! I expressed I disliked the whacked job and her response was that I was rude! Lol. WOW. NEEDLESS to say, better business bureau and health department have been contacted. Something I notice when I got there that she advertised all her services except the microblading. When asked she said "no need as her referral is enough, So no need for that to advertise "! Got keratine hair extensions. Was told it took 2 hours but took 4. Was told they last 3-6 months but 4 fell out the first night and 3 more within the week. Was told it was human hair but it's a blend. I'd never do this again, but the ladies were very nice and they did a great job while I was at the salon. I left looking great but for one say only. I got eyelash extensions small to medium and paid $55. I was so excited it was my first time but I had watched a lot of videos on it. I got there and the place looked so nice! I was told to lay down on a table right away which was great and she asked what I wanted. While she was doing the lashes there was nothing to separate my bottom and top lashes so glue got in my eye and bottom lashes and it burned a little but I didn't say anything (just not the type to speak up :/ ) she tweezed the glue from my bottom lashes. When she was done I looked very fast because i was scared to look because of reviews I had read earlier (that i should have listened to) that went through my head while laying there . I got in the car and I could see the glue on the tops of my lashes and that a couple were over lapping. I had also noticed that my right eye wasn't as full as my left but they didn't look completely horrible I said hey I guess you get what you pay for. It's been about a week and all the lashes from my right have fallen out and my left looks some what good still lol! I haven't used oils or water or even make up this week. I recently went there to get my eyelashes done because I wanted to see what the buzz was about on their $20 eyelash extensions . Service was great ! Everyone was really friendly . But the eyelash application was not really professional at all . Im not saying I'm an expert in lashes whatsoever but I have had them done multiple times to an extent that I know how a " professional " eyelash application works .The technician was so friendly and sweet but she was done with both eyes in about 15 mins . Plus she didn't put a patch on my bottom lashes because she said " she didn't think I needed one because my eyes were big " , and my eye was glue shut. I don't believe you should go based upon whether you believe someone doesn't need it or not it should be a procedure that HAS to be done in all eyelash applications . The actual lashes they use on you are not the best quality they are extremely similar to Ardell's individual lashes . They feel really syntheticy . Also the glue was very visible . It is true what they say that you get what you pay for ... So if you are a quality over price person I would suggest to spend a couple more bucks and go somewhere where the actual eyelash hairs look real . read more
