We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to order pizza. We originally had another pizza place in mind because they slid their brochure under our door, but when we looked them up they had bad reviews. So we searched for another nearby place and came up with Moncheese Pizza. We ordered a large Napolitano pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks. The delivery was super fast. I happened to be in the lobby getting drinks at the bar and was planning on heading back to the room to wait when I saw the delivery person arrive! The pizza was so flavorful! The cheese sticks were good as expected, but the pizza was definitely something we would specifically go back for when we're in the area. (We happened to see the actual location when we went for a walk later and it's a tiny place with just a couple small tables, so I would def recommend pick up or delivery if ordering from there). read more

This place exceeded expectations! While staying in Surfside, we noticed the restaurants were too expensive and a little too far from where we were staying. We ordered delivery from moncheese twice! It came quicker than they quoted and everything was perfect. We got the chef salad both days it was the best. The homemade French dressing makes it! The eggplant parm was the best I've ever had. Amazing crispiness and the sauce was not too sweet. The pizza and garlic rolls were also good. The second day we each got wraps for delivery. They were huge! I've spent the last 4 years complaining about the delivery options in North Beach and had no idea that the solution was so close! A few weeks ago, our friends and fellow Yelpers, Elizabeth R. and Rodrigo R. were at our house on a Saturday night. After too much alcohol was consumed, we decided it would be safer to order pizza than to attempt to navigate the grill. Rodrigo has Moncheese on speed dial and ordered us up one meat pizza (didn't partake so I don't know what kind) and a veggie pizza with artichoke hearts, black olives and other goodies. The food arrived quickly; the pizza was hot and damn good! Last night, Larry S. and I decided to order from them again. The guy on the phone was appropriately gruff and we ordered a veggie Stromboli and a pepperoni pizza. Not too long after placing the order, I got the standard call from the driver that couldn't find the house. This guy was smarter than most and was able to figure it out! Time for away from us this afternoon, so decided at 7:30 to order from here, for first time. Called in for pickup and was thrilled when told it would be ready in 15 minutes. 15 minutes later the husband entered the store and was immediately helped. The husband commented on how great the customer service was as soon as he got home. Paid $22 for a large pizza with mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni and sausage. The sausage is sliced, not crumbled. They were generous with toppings and cheese. I like ALOT of sauce on my pizza and while I would have liked more, it definitely wasn't dry. Sauce had great flavor, and the thin crust had a perfect golden color. Large size fed three of us, with leftover. Will definitely be ordering from here again read more

Needed a simple dinner....we thought having a pizza delivered would be what we wanted and needed. Will commend the speed with which our pizza was delivered, very fast. The customer service was a 10, friendly and courteous. However, the dough was not properly cooked, our sausage was not fully cooked. This place is a family owned business and hands down the best pizza I have had . I don't know how long it's been in business but over the years the prices haven't even gone up that much . They do delivery and you can eat outside . I love their margarita pizza with fresh basil . Their Stromboli's are great and enormous . The salads are fresh and so is the pasta . They even have empanadas and desserts . I have never had a bad customer service experience . They don't use a lot of oil in their foods either which is a plus . I hope they stay in business . I absolutely love the food at Moncheese Pizza! It is a very small carry out with a couple of tables. Behind the counter is some of the best Italian food in town. Their spaghetti with Bolognese sauce is fabulous. So is the Baked Ziti and Lasagna. They have wonderful salads and really great pizza. It is all prepared in a spotlessly clean restaurant. I always find a close parking spot on Harding Ave. without any trouble. You can't go wrong here. If you are close by, you can have it delivered, but I always pick up my order. They are fast, efficient and the food is superb! Their sub sandwiches are classic. I especially like the Club Sandwich--Super tasty!!! This is my favorite carry-out restaurant. Their food is much better than higher priced sit down restaurants in the area. I'd rather get a fantastic meal from Moncheese. They have an extensive menu and I haven't found anything I don't love! holy crap, how do i even start with this place! 1.its very convenient to find and easy to walk up to if your hotel is near by. there is an ice cream store right next to it and it is convenient to get some pizza and then get ice cream. When you immediately walk into the place, it smells very nice and has a fresh smell. the place has multiple CLEAN tables that you can sit and and has AMAZING staff! the people working there were so kind and treated me very well! they were very nice and it was so nice. How do i even start on the food!?! the food when i got it was so hot and smelled AMAZING! i stayed in miami for only 4 days and went there 3/4 days. The first day i got a cheese calzone. 1.it came with delicious warm and slightly spicy marinara sauce which was amazing with the calzone! the calzone itself tasted very good and had a nice garlic sauce with it. the second day i got a tuna sub. it was SO amazing. probably one of the best subs i've EVER had in my life. the last day i got a blt sub which was even BETTER than the tuna sub! if you need a place to go get cheap and delicious food, GO HERE!!! next time i make my vacation to miami, I AM GOING HERE!!!!! read more

I had been a regular customer of Moncheese for many years. Recently the food had gone way downhill. I still ordered from them because they're close to where I live. A few weeks ago I got a delivery order of several items including a large salad. The lettuce was so bitter I couldn't eat it. When I called to tell them about the bitter lettuce I was told that I was banned from ordering from them because I complained. Not much appreciation for a regular customer. read more

My wife, daughter and I had spent the afternoon at the community pool. By the time we were done it was about 7:30. We wanted something quick, but wasn't feeling anything from the Public. We've alway's contemplated going to Moncheese, so we decided it would be quick. My wife called in a large with pepperoni, sausage, black olives and mushrooms. They told her it would be ready in 15 minutes. I left the condo and walked over. I walked in and there was a guy sitting there. He immediately jumped up, greeted me nicely and asked how he could help. I told him my wife called in an order. I paid and he said it would be ready in 2-3 minutes. I would say I was out of there within the 15 minutes quoted with a minute or two to spare. The pizza was thinner than I prefer, but the flavors were excellent. There was a nice balance of cheese to sauce and they weren't stingy with the toppings. The cost was $21, though afterwards my wife found a $5.00 off coupon for orders over $20. I will most likely use them again the next time we want pizza, as it is faster than Piccolo's in San Souci. read more

I've ordered from here three times already and being that it's very nearby, I do like how quickly it arrives. However, I feel like the dough is not the best I've tasted and the sauce is scarce. It tastes more like a pizza I would purchase in the freezer at the grocery store rather than a hot pizza driving in cheese with delicious sauce. It's not horrible, it's just not the best. I would rather try their spaghetti dishes than try another pie. They close kind of early and i wish they had an online ordering feature where you could see all their menu items. However, it is the only pizzeria in surfside and since I do like supporting local businesses, I will order from here again in the near future and try their pasta. read more

I didn't expect much the first time I came here. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the food. I've gotten carry out several times and the food has been very good. Their pizza was delicious. I've tried spaghetti marinara, baked ziti, and lasagna. All were good. I would have liked a little more sauce on the spaghetti. The house salad and the antipasto salad were fresh and large enough to share. My mom got the Italian sub sandwich and she liked it. Their prices are very reasonable and the servings are large. They have desserts in a refrigerated case near the register. Awhile back I got a slice of chocolate cake that was delicious. My mom lives about ten minutes from Moncheese. When I get carry out, I call in my order and it's usually ready when I get there. They also deliver. read more

Great food great service. While I have not personally eaten their food, the friend I sent it to (who was recuperating from surgery), raves about the two times he received food from there. The calzone he said was three meals, the lasagna was excellent. The other time he told me their pizza was one of his favorites as it was such a nice surprise to get the knock on the door.
