Soooo yummy! We ate too fast to take pics but loved everything! Let's support this community!

2 chorizo, bean+ egg tacos and 1 bean, bacon, potatoes Mexicanos and egg taco - both on flour. They were all delicious. More breakfast taco goodness within a few minutes between Monchy's and Brother's - I'm jealous of Houstonians. At about 9:30 they were already out of a lot of breakfast options but were gracious to prepare more chorizo and eggs (minimum 2 tacos to make more). I noticed a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak English, so just be prepared to order when it's your turn

I love a fresh delicious breakfast taco! This location offers fresh tortillas and quick service. It's usually always extremely busy in the restaurant but the service is fast so don't be deterred. I had the huevos con jamón y frijoles and the salchicha con frijoles. The flour tortillas are made throughout the day so they are always hot and ready.

Overall, i like this place. But far too often i have come early in the morning and my order will be taken and still make incorrect. I tell the lady exactly what i want. She will say it back to me. Ring it up semi correctly (i asked for 2 she rang up 1) and still make the order incorrect then both ladies will ask me if i wanted beans even if i wasn't charged for the extras. The language barrier is apparent which is unfortunate because this is a great establishment. I will take a break from this location until the ladies can tighten up their service. This is the Monday crew 6:55AM

Had to take a bite before the pic! Tortillas are fresh and homemade! Did not disappoint!

Tuesday Tacos are great with both price and taste. Simple restaurant with a line of people at lunch hours. Like their service. Definitely will be back

Great tacos n salsas were amazingly good! Recommend this place. The agua de pepino was good also. Fast service!

I've been twice now and it's consistently good. You can tell by how packed it always is! The ladies up front are nice and they move fast! The tortillas are the true star. Not as soft and I'm normally used to in San Antonio but authentic. The food is good. I have not found authentic Mexican food in Houston (like I'm used to in San Antonio) and this will be my go-to spot. My go-to is breakfast tacos. The salsas are good too but not spicy.

One of my favorite woman-owned businesses in Houston. This taqueria is owned and operated by a fleet of hard working women. From the back kitchen to the front of the house, it's all women cooking and serving up fresh made plates. Even the wall mural pays homage to the matriarchs who serve their families and community. Enjoy homemade flour and corn tortillas -- made to order right in front of ya -- spicy salsitas, aguas frescas, veggie options for people like moi who don't eat meat, tacos, caldos, sopes, the occasional fideo, and menudo on weekends. Back to my intro... I don't know who "Monchey" is, pero nomás quiero dar gracias a las madres y mujeres en este negocio. Name change?

Bad 2.50 for a cup of ice come on. Tacos were good and feeling nice atmosphere would come back.

My only disappointment was the initial service. It wasn't a warm welcome on the walk up to the hostess stand. We had a reservation and though on time, our table wasn't quite ready, which was completely fine. However, there was very little acknowledgment or communication while we waited near the hostess stand outside. We watched several other parties arrive, get greeted, and immediately escorted to their tables. The wait itself wasn't the issue, a simple smile or "we'll be with you soon" would have gone a long way. Thankfully, I didn't let that set the tone for the evening because once we were seated, the experience completely turned around. Our server was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and gave wonderful recommendations. And the food? Easily one of my favorite dining experiences to date. The smoked sweet potato was such a standout starter dish, the crisp skin, the balance of sweet and heat, and the light, airy whipped cheese made every bite so satisfying. The guacamole was incredibly creamy, with chimichurri and todo seasoning that completely elevated it. The tiradito de hamachi was a party on my taste buds. Perfect slices of hamachi, incredibly ripe fresh peaches, and little kicks of spice that seemed to unlock as you chewed. That peach ponzu was literally heaven--I would buy it by the bottle. The aguachile de camaron was another favorite. Fresh shrimp with crisp cucumber and jicama, avocado, and this sweet-spicy soy combination that was SO good. I could eat this every day. And the branzino might genuinely be the best I've had. Perfectly prepared, a generous portion, and at a fraction of the price I'm used to seeing for branzino elsewhere. Ultimately, the food and our server absolutely won me over. I will absolutely be back. As a matter of fact, I already booked my brunch resy. Food- 5/5 Service- 4.2/5 Ambiance- 4.5/5

I would definitely recommend making a reservation, as it can get pretty busy, especially during Saturday lunch. There is also plenty of parking available across the street. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and felt so authentic to Mexican culture. The Avocado Mollete and Chilaquiles Divorciados were both packed with so much flavor. Every bite was amazing. I had heard that the pancakes were the star of the show, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I have never had pancakes this crispy before, and they were so good! Our server also brought out a birthday surprise, the Chocolate Cremoso, and it was delicious! It was such a sweet touch to the celebration. Honestly, everything my party ordered was so flavorful and delicious. We had such a great experience, and I genuinely cannot wait to come back!

The experience started poorly with the valet attendants, whom we found to be rude, dismissive, and very unprofessional. It was such an unpleasant first impression that my wife and I mentioned it to the hostess when we went inside. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The hostess seemed completely unconcerned about our experience and simply informed us that the wait for a table was approximately two hours. While deciding whether our party should wait or go elsewhere, I went to the bar to order a drink. After ordering, the bartender told me that if I was only having a drink, I needed to move. Apparently, sitting at the bar required ordering a meal. At that point, we had experienced enough. Between the unpleasant valet experience, the indifferent response at the hostess stand, the two-hour wait, and then being told I couldn't sit at the bar simply to have a drink while we decided what to do, the overall message was clear: we did not feel welcome here. My wife, the rest of our party, and I decided to leave and have dinner elsewhere. A busy restaurant is understandable. A long wait is understandable. What is much harder to understand is making prospective customers feel unwelcome at nearly every point of contact. Needless to say, this was an exceptionally disappointing experience, and we will not be returning.
