After experiencing significant pain following a bridge procedure, the doctor personally called me to discuss what happened. She took responsibility for the situation and assured me that I would not be responsible for the cost of the root canal that resulted from the complication. I genuinely appreciated her willingness to listen, apologize, and make things right. That level of accountability says a lot about her character and professionalism. The dental work has since been corrected, and I am thankful that she took ownership of the issue and worked toward a resolution. Situations like this can happen in medical or dental care, but what matters most is how the provider responds, and in this case she responded with professionalism and care. Unfortunately, my negative experience with the office manager, Toni, remains a concern. The way the situation was initially handled and the tone of communication felt dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Patient concerns--especially when someone is in significant pain--should be addressed with empathy and professionalism. That said, I want to give credit where it is due. **READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS** I will preface this review with acknowledgment of the hygienists and dentists - they are wonderful, thoughtful, caring, and personable, especially for the kids. My critique is not of my experience relating to the type of care received, but rather the operation as a whole. My family has been coming here for what WOULD be 2 years, but that ends today. To understand where this review is going - this is a corporate dental office where bottom line comes before patient care. Corporations, as we all know, put money before people, and will even go so far as to inconvenience clients to ensure they meet their quota of patients and out of pocket expenses (this is allegedly based on customer AND employee experience for this dental group). The 1-star reviews are a quick tell of that - heed the warning. I have had my husband and kids coming here for some time and while I have nothing negative to say of the children's experience, my husband has also had a substandard/subpar experience as well. Imagine an ongoing infected tooth requiring a root canal with swollen gums/sensitivity, NO antibiotics and delayed healing. He later required another 2 root canals, to which it was observed that there was an infection on the last one (negligence/dental malpractice). The cavity filling that they did also didn't last very long before falling out. One of the temporary caps he needed on his most recent visit was so poorly placed that he was gluing it down 2x a day in order to eat. This is of course AFTER he had already gone back for them to fix it. Good thing the permanent was done well without issue or complaint and antibiotics were administered, after the fact. As for me, I hadn't been to the dentist since COVID (5+ years) and when making my appointment, I emphasized that I hadn't had any kind of dental exam or cleaning in that time and specifically wanted a deep cleaning. Day of my appointment, I'm promptly seen for X-rays and the exam. During the exam it is noted that I have beginning stages of perio, where the dentist thoroughly informs and educates me on the matter. LOVED that! She then tells me I need laser treatment that is not covered by insurance. I do not love that. I ask her if I'll be getting a cleaning today that IS covered by my insurance. NOPE. I have to wait *7 months*. So as I am leaving, I am absolutely dumbfounded on why I did not get the one thing I came for and being haggled into paying $130 for something when they couldn't even CLEAN MY TEETH AFTER 5+ YEARS. That should have been the last straw, but alas, here's the review. I did have one prior appointment in December where things went normally and I did get my teeth/perio cleaned and the experience was standard. My appointment today was at 3:30pm. I got SEVERAL notices to check-in, fill out, and sign documents before my appointment. DONE. I even called them to confirm what the appointment was for and it was a follow-up perio cleaning (2 limited deep cleanings in 3 months for preventative perio disease). I have kids, so I dropped them off early to avoid risking being late, get to the dentist at 3:05pm and wait. And wait. And wait. At 20 minutes past my appointment time (45 minutes of sitting and waiting), I just got up and told them to cancel my appointment, and left. This place is not great or exceptional or consistent and I think it's no fault of the dentists and hygienists themselves, but rather the corporation they work for and the management that is responsible for overbooking and managing appointments. I don't even want to comment on the front desk staff because the attitude seems to be standard across the board for people who sign up for that job. Dentists already have a bad reputation of charging unnecessary services and procedures. Now put that into a corporation's hands and you are literally a walking cash cow for these people. Upgrade your dental plan to PPO and avoid corporate greed. read more

Our initial consultation two months ago went smoothly, and I was informed that my son needed a few cavities filled. The office told me they would obtain authorization from my insurance provider, but that I should go ahead and schedule the appointment in the meantime. Over the next several weeks, I received multiple text reminders from the office and even completed the online check‑in the day before the appointment. On the day of my son's visit, we arrived on time, signed in, and waited. After nearly 30 minutes with no update, I approached the front desk to ask what was going on. Only then was I told that I had supposedly received a phone call informing me that the dentist we were scheduled with does not actually take our insurance and that if we proceeded, I would be responsible for the full out‑of‑pocket cost. I never received any call or voicemail. I know because I checked the history and log. Another staff member chimed in from the back, offering a "discount" and saying they could seat him immediately. At that point, I was frustrated for several reasons: * I was never notified about the insurance issue. * I was left sitting in the waiting room without anyone saying a word. * This office consistently seems to find ways to push additional out‑of‑pocket costs. I declined the appointment and left. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally, and I should have been informed the moment I walked in not after waiting and having to ask myself. DO NOT GO HERE. I regret ever stepping foot into this office. The main receptionist/office manager Tony is a RUDE, COMBATIVE, DISMISSIVE person who has zero sense of empathy or sympathy and refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoings. I started going to Monet in September of 2025. Between Sep-Dec my appointments were cancelled on THREE (3) occasions, with FOURTH (4) one being delayed because my crown was not manufactured correctly due to a lack of diligence and they had to restart the process. The two (2) times I was able to be seen, I experienced a lack of quality of care which affected my experiences, which includes being worked on by a very inexperienced person who most likely should not have led the appointment as much as she did. The temporary crown she placed on me fell off of my tooth not even 5 minutes after leaving the office. When I spoke to the manager, Tony, about it, all she did was combat everything I said with excuses and had zero sympathy or apology for my experience. Worst of all, I paid $900 out of pocket for what my insurance didn't cover. After my bad experiences and being repeatedly cancelled on, I asked to see a different dentist. Tony said no. I then stated that I may have to go somewhere else. Her response? "I think that's best!" Zero apology, zero empathy, nothing. That is the nature of all of my conversations with her. Speaking of, during my second to last phone call with her, she confirmed I would be refunded my out of pocket fees amounting to approximately $900, considering they never completed the crown procedure or core buildup and they had forced me to pay that amount in advance, WHICH IS ILLEGITIMATE. Dental offices are NOT to charge patients for services like crowns not yet rendered, and worse, they falsely documented on my insurance history that I received those services! So now I have been able to see a new dentist since December. I have been in pain everyday since then. Worst of all, Tony called me a day after that phone call, and rambled on about billing and my insurance, and ended up saying I would not be refunded the $900 I paid out of pocket due to my insurance. I told her that did not make sense, as I paid that money out of pocket... And now I am here. I am more than angry and frustrated. I am in pain, and I am very hurt regarding this whole process. As if I were not already severely physically and emotionally affected by this whole situation, I am now out of almost $1,000 which was supposed to be used to improve my health. I earned this money through continuous effort and as a hard-working individual who is just trying to make it like everyone else, I am so disheartened to have been so extremely taken advantage of by Money Dental Group. The lack of quality, proper care, customer service skills, proper management, and humanness has festered into such a horrible place. I do not recommend anyone take themselves nor their loved ones here. I wish I could give this place 0 stars! I just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had at a dental office. This practice is clearly more focused on money than patient care. I had an issue with being overcharged here last year and, unfortunately, decided to give them another chance. Before my appointment, I called and spoke with two different staff members to confirm that my insurance would cover a routine cleaning. Both assured me it would. Once I was already in the chair, they suddenly tried to charge me, claiming my insurance did not cover the cleaning. When I explained that I had called ahead specifically to avoid this situation and asked them to work with me, the office manager became extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I felt mistreated and humiliated. I took time off work for this appointment and ended up walking out without care because of their behavior and lack of transparency. Didn't even get to the examination. Red flags are sometimes immediately evident and can come up from the very beginning, as in my experience with Monet Dental. It was a Saturday and I needed to see a dentist for some pain emanating from my lower left jaw, I had a pretty good idea of what it was because of a past experience with an infection caused by a bad tooth. About 2 months ago I went to a dentist in Ontario, they took a huge array of some expensive X-Rays which they completing raped my insurance company for and all that for nothing because they never followed up. They never contacted me for a procedure that they said I needed. So, I decided to go elsewhere and Monet Dental was across the street from where I live, I called and spoke with Toni who said, no problem come on in, I explained to her about the X-Rays and how I can have the other dentist send them via email. When I arrived she had me fill out the usual check in chart via text and when I finished, I was called into the X-Ray room where a nice technician was ready to take more X-Rays I explained to her that I had just had X-Rays done, she knew nothing about it and called in the Hustler, who right away went into her rant about how they couldn't use those X-Rays and they wouldn't be able to bill the insurance company. She said the X-Rays had very little radiation and were harmless, I told her that's why I have to put on that protective vest and the technician runs behind the wall. That triggered her and she started getting angry, I saw her eyeballs pop. I knew at that moment she had labeled me a trouble patient. She said, I wouldn't let her talk, I said, ok let me know when she is finished, she went again and completely repeated herself....now come on....I had enough of the hustler and by the time I did, she was kicking me out of the office...... I guess what I'm trying to get at is, I now can relate to Insurance companies. Monet Dental was just trying to get paid, there wasn't any reason for more X-Rays, they just want to get paid $$$$ That's why we all pay so much for insurance. First time going to this dentist... the X-ray tech was nice. But that's where my level of comfort ended. The actual dentist didn't even look at my teeth, just went over the dental hygienist's report. She told me I should use some laser device to kill the bacteria in my mouth and fluoride. In my head I said that sounds expensive and wow, technology sure has changed. But I was okay with it if insurance was covering it. But then she said someone was gonna come over and go over pricing... okay that's weird. The pricing lady tells me my bill is over $2,000 and I'd have to pay $300 out of pocket in cash to cover the rest, since the dentist recommended a deep clean. Whoa, I just want a normal teeth cleaning. I said no, I'm not gonna pay that. It was super awkward. They then told me id have to reschedule with another hygienist if I wasn't gonna do it. Wtf?? Finally they agreed to do the part where they just scrape the stuff out of your teeth. The DH who was doing this procedure was unfriendly and asked why I wasn't doing the laser and fluoride. They literally just did the scaling, no teeth brush no rinse. I felt like I was being punished for choosing not to do their expensive treatment. Friendly staff! Couldn't remember my login info for check in and front office staff helped me so kindly with that. Our wait was maybe 5 minutes, very clean office. They got my two children in at the same time and we were out in 35 minutes. My youngest is special needs with Down syndrome and dr. Chung was so sweet! She sang to him while she did the exam, he's usually timid but he did very well with her. The Assistant was very good with my daughter, couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommend! They communicate well, and make everything so easy. We will continue the drive down for such a great office. You can't beat the location either. read more

The dentist declined to remove a broken tooth with a cavity because I could not afford a bridge. She was condescending, she told me, "look around, all of this costs money,", she advised me to go to a dental school to save money and not her time. They overcharge you for the highest procedure possible if you have PPO. They fooled me in having to get a Smile Generation Credit card for a procedure that I did not need and when you try to pay with the card online you can't. They say you have to come in. As a first-time client, my initial visit involved an x-ray and a consultation. I was anticipating a cleaning... I left work early for this visit, expecting to receive a cleaning, but was informed that I needed to schedule it afterward. It was quite surprising. I then arranged my second appointment for a cleaning. However, I had to reschedule again because the only dentist capable of performing the procedure had called in sick. This was incredibly frustrating. I eventually rescheduled and attended my cleaning. After that appointment, I set up my six-month cleaning for February 2026. In January 2026, I received a call from the office notifying me that the dentist no longer sees patients at 4 PM, which was my scheduled time. I was extremely frustrated! This dentist and the practice have presented numerous red flags and inconveniences for me. I inquired if the dentist could honor my appointment time, but the response was no. The next available cleaning appointment is in March. I found another dentist and I suggest you do the same. I've experienced too many inconveniences with this dentist. It's been terrible. read more

I was searching for a pediatric dentist for my sons first visit and upon being recommended here I decided to give it a go! The initial process of making an appointment was relatively easy; however, the woman who answered the phone seemed to be annoyed with basic questions regarding my coverage. They send over a link for you to do all necessary paperwork, which makes life easy. The initial appointment was available very soon which made me happy. With my one year old in hand, I expected something very different for a place that states they're a pediatric dentist... first off the waiting room is extremely dated! The furniture is stained and the carpet looked as though it hadn't been vacuumed at all, there were wrappers on the floor and what looked like food remnants. Nothing in there screamed or welcomed pediatric patients. Once we were seen by the dentist, the room was a row full of chairs that were again close together and seemed to be to not be very private... The dentist herself was nice, seemed a little rushed and not super friendly or too willing to build rapport for my little guy to feel somewhat comfortable, just a finger in the mouth and a quick X-ray. The gave him some squishy toy, which was WAY too small for a one year old and a choking hazard but the gesture was appreciated. Nonetheless, I doubt we will be back as I was looking for a dentist that catered to kids, from the waiting room the the patient room. read more

Our family has been going here for 3 years now and it's been a great experience. My kids had their teeth cleaned today and Ashley and Rubi helped us. They talked my kids (4 and 6) through the whole process and were very patient with them. My kids love coming here because there is a tv on the ceiling for distracting movies. We are always in and out quickly and efficiently which is great with little ones. Alyssa at the front desk helped with our insurance and made the process easy to understand. When I confronted them about it Denise made me feel like me and my in network insurance were wrong when we stated multiple times we weren't. Once again, Dr. Chung did amazing with my second daughter's treatment (crown + 2 extractions). I would always give her 5 stars. However, there is only one caveat that marred my experience at the clinic. Billing at Monet Dental Group is terrible and needs a lot of improvement. I don't agree that they have an office protocol of billing code D9920 (care for behavior management for difficult patients part which is commonly not covered by dental insurance, which are usually for people with disabilities)for nitrous oxide gas during every procedure. Even when my two girls (4 yr old/7 yr old)did really well and was quite fast during the whole treatment (these were complicated treatments from fillings to crowns to extractions) and Dr. Chung was great throughout and agreed that they did really great and was easy for their age (esp. for my 4yr old who did it the first time), however, the office manager that handles billing still applied the fee and I have no choice but pay it. For this particular code, it's really not medically necessary and applicable for ALL patients so I don't understand why it's their protocol. It should be a case to case basis and should only be billed after the exam has been performed and there are records that they had difficulty managing the patient and etc. This protocol of billing this code should be corrected or updated properly. Make sure you review your bill of procedure and look for that code especially for kids or pediatric treatment. Also, my younger daughter won a $100 credit voucher from the prize wheel last visit which we wanted to apply for my older daughter's treatment but was told by the same office manager that it's for adults only and not for pediatric patients. After explaining to her that we specifically chose their clinic because of their excellent pediatric doctors only and we use a different adult dentist which is their sister company, the office manager finally relented and applied the $100 credit voucher which was a big relief to us. I really love Dr. Chung and how she treated my girls but if the office protocols in billing is still going to be difficult like this (unnecessary charges and unclear billing protocols), I may try to seek another pediatric dentist. In the meantime, I hope that my two girls won't need any more treatments anytime soon other than cleaning because if they do, I might need to cough up more Out-of-pocket expenses than I should. They are both absolutely amazing women! They are both so gentle and informative! They are also very nice. I also bring my daughter here as well she is 6years old she loves it here they are so playful and sweet to her always make her feel comfortable. The pediatrician dentist is very gentle fast and nice as well. There service is fast too. Making appointments is easy and the prices aren't too bad! This is a very peculiar experience, and it's something I have not encountered in any dental clinic until now. As a new patient, I was first taken to have X-rays done, starting with a full-mouth X-ray and then individual X-rays and photographs of each tooth, totaling more than twenty X-rays and photos. Because I have a habit of keeping records of my health, after returning home, I called the clinic hoping to obtain these X-rays and photos. I was informed that these records would be uploaded to my online medical file. So, I logged in to check my medical file online, but I only saw 20 X-rays and photos instead of the 23 or 24 images displayed on the screen in the diagnostic room. Particularly, the memorable full-mouth X-ray was not there. So I called to inquire, and the initial response was, "Just wait a bit; it might take some time to upload." The next day, I called again and received the same answer. When I inquired later, a unfriendly staff member said, "I have 2 or 3 patients waiting to be attended to right now; we'll deal with your matter before closing time." As a result, when I checked again in the evening, there was still no upload. When I continued to inquire by phone, strange things started happening. The person answering the call directly said, "What you see online is all your information; you're missing some teeth, so we didn't take a full-mouth X-ray at that time." This answer left me dumbfounded. I was clearly taken for a full-mouth X-ray, and in the diagnostic room, the dentist pointed to images on the screen, telling me about the need for deep teeth cleaning. I even counted the total number of images, with the full-mouth X-ray leaving the deepest impression because it revealed the lower half of the skull, making it look somewhat terrifying. Yet now, this terrifying X-ray has disappeared, and the answer is that they never took a full-mouth X-ray. Isn't this encountering the bizarre? Finally, I requested to speak to the dentist who diagnosed me, and the answer was surprisingly the same as the staff member on the phone, "You didn't have a full-mouth X-ray here." At that moment, I truly realized that my "search for the missing images" probably had to come to an end. You know, I dare not go to this dental clinic again; who knows what stranger things might happen next time? read more

Just before the holiday's I was in search of a new dentist and was so lucky to stumble upon Monet Dental Group. I was referred to Dr. Chung who is absolutely amazing. I've been going to Monet Dental for years until 2022 year. I had my suspicions about them hyping up the service fees. When I got an abscess during 2022 due to a error they made. I complained about the root canal they did because my gums around the area would always bleed and felt really sensitive. I complained for two years and I was told it was normal and resulted in not one but two molars loss. Crazy thing was the dentist Susan Chung said I don't who did this work but it wasn't done well ( she was the dentist who gave me the root canal). To add insult to injury she quoted me about $17,000 for two implants and when I said that is extremely expensive they behave like really you can't afford it. Well I switched to Smile Haven and they charged me $5500 for the two implants. Also I don't have to pay $150-500 for Hygenist every three months that Monet would guilt me in doing since my gums are healthy according to my new dentist. read more
