review okay here we go ... I would strongly discourage anyone from coming to this dental office. The quality of the work has been unacceptable. They placed a temporary crown that fell out after only two weeks. I have had temporary crowns before and have never experienced anything like this. When I called for an emergency appointment to have it fixed, they told me they had no availability and suggested I go to CVS to buy temporary tooth repair putty and fix it myself until their next available appointment. That is not the level of care I expect from a dental office. The billing issues have been even worse. After spending over a month going back and forth between the office and my insurance company, I discovered they had charged me more than $1,000 out of pocket for work my insurance had already paid for. On top of that, they billed me for two premium crowns that I never approved or received. I actually received standard porcelain crowns. Their explanation was that these were all "coding mistakes." To make matters worse, they acknowledged that they owe me a refund of over $800, but I was told I have to wait seven days because the person who processes refunds, Kristie, is on vacation. Between the poor dental work, lack of emergency care, repeated billing errors, and the inconvenience of waiting for money that should never have been charged in the first place, this has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you want quality dental care and accurate billing. read more

I've been going here for at least for 4/5 years, and I've never had a bad experience at this location. Ive always come in the Rancho location greeted by smiles. I've gotten cleanings, lasting, wisdom teeth removal, and cavities fillings here and have always been treated with care. I just recently came in for another cleaning after not having done so for awhile and had the pleasure of working with Dr. Manal, Miracle, and Aylene. Hmmm, where to start . Well let us start with the receptionist, whom is packed with attitude like a brick of dynamite. I get it as seeing i also run a business and you do need someone in the front that is a gatekeeper, but she is definitely more of a dragon guarding a cave of doom. She is rude and scheduled appointments the exact day we told her we could not do, and then got attitude with us over this. And don't dare try to question her or opt for something you don't want done ( they just bill you for unnecessary stuff to run up The insurance) , she'll get to blowing attitude and fire at you ‍. This is just the warm up lap with this office, here comes the good stuff. So after my wife complaining I decided to switch to another dental office, and when the new office did see my son (7 months later) , they asked why does he have a cavity under his recent filing , good question because this office here failed to actually do their job, but they billed our insurance for doing a job they didn't do. Next the new dentist asked "oh, well pieces of this other fillings are missing did they do these all at the same time"? Yes they did all work 7 months ago ‍. They thought it had been a few years for the ones that were damaged. Oh it keeps getting better folks. So the new office ( amazing by the way) said did they just do the cavities? And I replied well they billed for cleaning, cavities, etc etc. The new dentist said well I hate to break it you, but they definitely did a shoty cleaning job, and here you can see the plaque they did not remove, and there is no way this amount of plaque could build up in 7 months. When I saw the actual work they did in my son's mouth I was Livid! Now I want to take all the new information I have and contact my insurance company and let them know they billed for terrible work that they did not actually do. I mean come on folks, how do you fill/repair a cavity but yet and still he has the same freaking cavity under the filling they did. Between the receptionist and seeing the TERRIBLE work they did it's beyond me to even understand how they could do this. Make sure to advocate for yourself if you feel like something is wrong. I usually love coming here because they are super nice and kind, but my last experience was not a great one... Complained of some issues with my teeth and Dr Manal completely disregarded them saying it's because of how I'm brushing my teeth, yeah... Turns out I had a cavity and needed a root canal. They're always crazy booked so if you have a last minute appointment, forget it. You're better off somewhere else. Also after calling my insurance and matching codes, make sure that they charge you for what your insurance covers! read more

I took my son for his 6 months checkup and was told he had 4 cavities. On the follow up visit 3 days later, I was told the number of cavities had multiplied by 3. Obviously concerned by the discrepancy, I took my son elsewhere for a second opinion and found out he has zero cavities. read more

Pretty disappointed with this place. I've been coming for 4 years and it's been amazing service so far until recently. I've paid the same $59 fee for cleaning and xrays every single appointment and they called the day before my recent appointment and said that was a mistake and was only supposed to be a one time special. Now they want me to pay triple that price for the same service. They also scheduled me with the wrong dentist and then that person quit so I had to wait 5 months to actually see my doctor. They used to be really great but honestly took a turn and price gouge their clients. Which is a bummer because they're losing out on their loyal members. Called this dental office almost a month ago to schedule a dentist appointment. I informed them that I would have a new dental plan by the time of the appointment. I advised the provider & that it was an HMO plan. The receptionist told me that was no problem. Scheduled my appointment & was advised to call back once I had my new member ID & to assign myself to their dental office. Here we are the day of & now I'm being told they don't accept clients with HMO & haven't in years. Waste of my time & was given false information. Now I have to try & make an appointment elsewhere when I've been waiting weeks to be seen. read more

I had a a appt at 3pm and they had me waiting until 5pm not good. If you have a appt at a certain time you expect to be seen by that time. It was very irritating to leave work early because you have a dentist appt and 2 hrs passed and nothing. I would not recommend this dentist at all for anybody. Had an appointment for simple cleaning/checkup at noon, didn't get called in for X-rays until 12:45. Didn't see dentist until 1:30, lasted only a couple minutes. They didn't start "cleaning" until 2pm (2 HOURS after my appointment time), lasted less than 5 minutes, didn't even bother to floss my teeth Never once did any staff apologize for the wait, let alone acknowledge it If you want to spend a couple hours of your day waiting for a rushed checkup, this is your place. Do not recommend this place. Patients will eventually go elsewhere since there are so many dentists everywhere and it's competitive. This was hands down the nicest, cleanest, friendliest, and most efficient dentist I have ever been to. I was greeted by Sarah at the front desk and she was lovely walking me through the process. The office is super nice and squeaky clean... You don't even feel like you're at the dentist. But even better than that... The dental assistant Terri went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable she was so kind and concerned about my comfort that it took away all the stress I had about seeing a dentist for the first in several years. On top of that the dentist Dr. Hsieh and the dental hygienist Natalie was so friendly and they explained everything to me and went over the options on getting my teeth where I would like them to be, I will be back soon for my deep cleaning with Natalie. Unfortunately, this place is a joke. Watching several employees walk in ten minutes past your appointment time at 8am with a lobby of five people waiting is both comical and frustrating. This is now my second time coming to this dentist after moving to the area. Both occasions they have severely overbooked their appointments. This morning I waited 22 minutes past my 8am appointment to inquire as to when I would be seen. I thought that was both incredibly patient and reasonable. I was told she didn't know but that they were down two assistants. Now, if I had all day to sit around and waste my time I would've stayed to get my appointment out of the way. But go figure, I work. I scheduled my appointment with an hour and fifteen minutes of time. More than reasonable for a cleaning and their now required X-rays. I asked why they would not notify their patients beforehand or even as we wait in the lobby. Exactly zero communication and zero attempt at an apology for their lack of organization and time management. I then get a voicemail several hours later from the receptionist asking me if I want to reschedule my MISSED appointment. I call back and tell the receptionist that I did come in for my appointment but was not seen in a timely manner and left. She responds back that she will check on those details. I asked her what checking in on whether or not I was there was going to do. It was almost as if I was going to be punished for having left an appointment 30 minutes past when it was scheduled. She asked me if I signed in, to which I told her yes. While on the phone, she literally picks up the clipboard to confirm my statement is correct. Overall, a weird exchange. It was kind of like being accused of lying. Again, no apology from any of the staff. No attempt at understanding of the frustration caused by their insolent staff. Just another patient, another day, another dollar. I will not be going back. read more

I never had such a bad experience trying to schedule an appointment. I was calling as a new patient. The lady over the phone keeps on asking me if my insurance is PPO or HMO. I said I don't know but I checked the website and they are in network. She said they are in network with both but she needs to verify my insurance and needs to know which one I am; there is different number to call. I told her I have the number and I can give it to her. She insisted I need to call to find out if I am PPO or HMO. I subsequently told her I never had so much trouble trying to schedule an appointment and I can just go to another dentist. She obviously did not care because she said "OK and have a good day". With that said, I am going to find another dentist that is more helpful and respectful to patients. read more

As a senior citizen with aging teeth that were chipping on the edges, I consulted with a local dentist who recommended veneers. I emphasized that I didn't want to change the look of my teeth, only to reinforce them to last the next several decades. I felt we had clear communication and we proceeded with the plan for a natural look and keeping the size, shape, and color of my teeth. I'm not sure how but the results went very wrong: I ended up with 6 over-sized front teeth that clearly didn't match the teeth behind them. For nearly 3 years, I felt self-conscious about my previously-easy smile. I then met Dr. Manal who was sympathetic to my plight and took personal interest in making my teeth right. Once again, I felt that we had clear communication but I was terrified of making another significant investment yielding an equally-disappointing result. We talked numerous times and each time Dr. Manal listened carefully and assured me that I would be happy with the results. There was consultation with the lab to further ensure we were all on the same page. I finally felt the confidence and trust to move ahead with the plan. Like many adults, I am generally very afraid of going to the dentist. This being said I've never had a more enjoyable time at the dentist than when I've gone to see Dr. Hsieh. He was very personable and explained everything that was going on with my filling. During the process Dr. Hsieh went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable throughout the whole experience. He seemed to put a lot of effort into making sure that the filling was done perfectly. In addition to filling a cavity, Dr. Hsieh also took the initiative to fix some of my old fillings that were causing me difficulty flossing. I was pleasantly surprised that he had noticed the tiny issue from my x-rays! On top of being a very skilled and detail-oriented dentist, I really appreciated Dr. Hsieh's humor and honesty. Between telling jokes he gave me some unique tips on how to improve my brushing and flossing routine going forward and how to reduce overall sensitivity. The other individuals in the office were great too. Mayra was such a capable hygienist on top of being such a sweet person. From taking my x-rays to helping Dr. Hsieh with the filling she was a constant ray of sunshine and positivity. I am motivated to be a better dental patient because of this place! Worst First Impression ever with a dentist office! First Appointment 3/20/19 @ at 9:30am or so I thought. I arrived on time only to be told by the front office lady that my appointment was originally scheduled at 8:00am. The front office person was rude she told me the dentist was fully booked the rest of the day and simply couldn't see me anymore. I was confused because I am usually early and rarely late. I figured I made a mistake and I attempted to re-schedule for this Friday at 7:00am (their first appointment of the day!) Arrived home that afternoon and looked for their confirmation emails only to discover that my appointment was at 10:30am not at 9:30am like I thought because I must have given myself extra time so I could do all the new patient paperwork. I was so upset but I let it go because I should have pulled our my phone then and checked and maybe I wouldn't have wasted my morning. Fast forward to today! Arrived to this office at 6:55am only 2 people ahead of me in the sign-in sheet. About 4 patients arrive after me and the two front desk ladies haven't called me or said a word to me. One looks at the other and appears to ask about me. They pull the clipboard and finally call me up to sign disclosures. At this point all 6 patients have been taken to the back. I go back to waiting...one more patients comes in and gets called to the back. So its only me an a lady who is trying to figure out if she can use her insurance there. Both front desk ladies are there and neither of them say a word. 20 minutes later and I have had it. I am fairly understanding when it comes to appointments. I know that dentist offices get busy and things happen. What I don't get is why they didn't seem to care either way. Not once was I told that I would be next, or that they will speak to the back staff to take me in next because they didn't go by the order of the clipboard, or apologize for the fact that they missed me in the first place, or even provided eye contact when they realized it was just me in the waiting room. When I told her to cancel my appointment she asked if I was sure. I told her I already have dentist anxiety and I have been waiting for a while and nothing. She didn't even acknowledge that I was upset she only said "oh ok" and then said "wait it looks like they are going to call you in now". Sure enough the dental assistant came out to call not me but the lady with the insurance issue that came in last who happen to be on the phone outside! SERIOUSLY?! I wish I had the option to give 0 stars, and read and heeded to 1 star reviews here. Please people, know and understand the work they do here is mediocre at best. I hadn't been to the dentist in about 5 or 6 years..during which time I was pregnant. Dr. Manal used that to her advantage to convince me of the EIGHT cavities they said I had. I should've had that double checked. I'm not one to get cavities in the 1st place. I knew of some on my lower molars due to visibly being able to see them. Anyways, they asked if I wanted them all filled that day. I said ya, if you have the time. Not knowing any better about the proper way of getting them done panel by panel, which another dentist I know well informed me of. It's like patients are on a conveyor belt at this corporate style dentistry office. They don't care about the quality of their work. After Dr. Manal drilled out my cavities, she had the dental assistant fill my cavities, but before was making sure "you sure you got this? I'm good to go? You got this?" Gave me so much confidence in Bree from the get go.. Before Bree finished filling my cavities another employee walked in the room and told Bree "doc wants you in the other room in 5 minutes, are you able to do that?" Sounding stressed, she said "uhh, ya.. I'll be there.." She had me try to do a bite mark test, with my whole jaw being numbed mind you, I couldn't tell what my jaw was doing, and she was getting frustrated with me. This is one reason 8 cavities should not be filled all in one visit. I got home, the numbing wore off..and I noticed a sizable chunk of filling on the back of my right front tooth! I had my husband and mom both look to confirm that's what it was. I went back in, and Bree ground that down. Leaving the edges of my front teeth sharp. That night I went to go floss and brush my teeth, and sure enough, couldn't get the floss between two of my back molars that they had worked on! I called immediately Monday, I had gone in on a Saturday originally. Made an appointment for Tuesday. Well Tuesday morning it turned out I was able to floss all of a sudden, so I canceled my appointment, Later that day I noticed pain and my bite was off and there was a hole in between some teeth they had worked on collecting food, and there was no snap between when I flossed, which there had always been so before.. So I called back and made another appointment. I finally got to get in after some going back and forth with the office. I made it clear I only wanted Dr. Manal working on me and no one else.. so she did. She had to numb my right side again to re-fill a cavity, she fixed my bite, and she ground down the filling on the back of my front teeth-which wasn't the issue, and she made sure to clarify what I was talking about because I used the wrong terminology. Apparently bottom of the tooth even on the upper teeth means the part near the gums, she knows I'm a LVN, and acted as if I was supposed to know things about dentistry. We don't study teeth in depth like they do. So she informed me of the proper terminology and I agreed with her that yes, the edge or tip, whatever she had said was the issue.. not the back of my teeth, but that's where she decided to grind down. My issues now, 10 days after my last appointment after things were "fixed": -Hot/cold sensitivity on the left side of my mouth where Dr. Manal "fixed" my bite. They are actually being affected just by the cold air. The pain/sensitivity seems to just keep getting worse. -My front teeth are even sharper on the edges(tips) than before, and I have sensitivity of my front teeth that I didn't have before. Also, beware the gum/deep cleaning nonsense is a scam! Dr. Manal poked my gums with a sharp metal instrument and said my gums were bleeding meaning they had bacteria build up, as if they won't bleed with a sharp metal instrument poking them. When she had poked my gums, it had hurt. She handed me a mirror to see that they do indeed bleed when you poke them with a sharp instrument and said that was because bacterial build up under the gums. I said "ohh, that's weird, when I floss, they don't bleed.. Does that mean I have gingivitis?' She said "not necessarily.." Hmm, ok.. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid this office at all costs! Avoid all corporate type dentistry offices, they're all about the money, they're all about mediocre work, quantity over quality. Also, they take an abundance of x-rays on your 1st visit. I paid $620 along with my insurance. They took orthodontic pictures, for what? I don't have braces. My insurance said I can owe $980 after they did the insurance work.. the front office told me they don't bill for those pictures, when I had asked ($90/pic-they took 4.) Really hoping I don't get a surprise bill in the mail. I now have to go to a trusted dentist I should've went to in the 1st place to get my teeth fixed. read more

The people here are very nice. Although, every time I come for a cleaning check up with an appointment I have to wait a very long time. Took an hour for them to tell me they have to reschedule again for the hygienist. It's not the first time where this same situation has happen and by rescheduling for a cleaning that was originally appointed for. UPDATE: As of my wife's last appointment, she was able to talk to Violet, the supervisor/manager, who happen to provide her better expectation on their services. We were both given free teeth bleaching due to their shortcomings from the past accommodations. So for now, am increasing their star because of how they have treated my wife and my 2 daughters who likes to play around their front office. Thank you. Until my next appointment and let's see if there will be another star to increase about. We always come in 15mins before time. We also make sure that we respond to their confirmation either via sms or call that we are confirmed with our appointment. However, my wife and I have had bad experiences with this clinic for the second time. One of the front desk people, she is nice. But the rest, we don't have much conversation with them so I cannot say more. Though they are friendly. With regards to scheduling appointments and/or confirmations, they have failed us twice already when we have confirmed to them already. So I was hassled on taking a day off for nothing twice! Now that my wife's schedule is confirmed and processed, her schedule was supposed to be 1:30pm and she was taken after2:10pm. Before then, they have been reminding my wife that procedure starts at 1:30pm so she arrived the clinic 15mins before time. They took our payment (which was very expensive) and sat there for a a 45min wait period. While being processed inside, my wife have to wait again until she was attended. So her procedure was all delayed and she will still have to breastfeed our baby who will wake up in 15mins. It was a total hassle because they cannot follow time. They were the ones who kept reminded us to be on time but it's always a problem. read more
