So I ordered money muscle through door dash. I was prepared for the food to be dry and feel completely upset about the quality for the price. I was wrong , the food was amazing and the brisket was moist and tender , the ribs fell off the bone and the bbq sauces are award winning just on their own. This place is a must try and although the prices are still kind of high , nowadays what isn't lol . I would and will order from them again.

I tried out their Texas brisket sandwich and it was pretty good. It says Texas brisket but the flavor profile is Carolina all the way. I'm guessing the Texas is a nod to the mastering of brisket in the Lone Star state. I haven't tried anything else yet but the friendliness of the staff, the location and the fact that the baked beans are pork-free will have me returning to try other options. I'll be trying the wings, baked beans and cornbread next. The Riverdale location has an open eating area great for sitting down with a few friends. It shares space with other eateries so large groups wouldn't work.

Back in the day if it wasn't The Rib Pit on 14th street Uptown...there was no BBQ for me!! Now, there are a few swanky spots to choose from. We're not known for our BBQ, but...could this place I'm going to put us on the map? Let's see... . Where I am: @moneymusclebbq . Location Reviewed: 8630 Fenton St., Silver Spring M.D. . Menu Includes: Texas Style Brisket, Pulled Pork, Short Ribs, Ribs, Smoked Wings, Smoked whole, half, & a third Chicken, Collards, Mac n Cheese, Skillet Cornbread, Vegan Nuggets, Hot Eggplant, Baked Beans, Sauces, Vegan Burgers, Fried Oreos, Biscuits, Cookies, Slaw & Salad. . Items Reviewed: Their Half BBQ Chicken (with South Carolina Gold BBQ sauce $12). STAMP!! Cooked to perfection m, the dry rub on this chicken set it off!! Seasoned well, & superbly tasty!! Their Mac n Cheese ($6). DELICIOUS. It's creamy, rather than dense, and you could taste an artisan cheese like Gouda in it. Their BBQ Baked Beans ($6). DECENT. I needed some heavy flavoring to these, molasses, brown sugar... A 1/2 pound of their Slow Cooked Brisket (with Kansas City BBQ sauce $16). ABSOLUTE DELICIOUS!! Tender, & Bursting with flavor, the sauce (STAMP) was just a icing on the cake!! Their Steak n Cheese (shaved ribeye with provolone, bell peppers, grilled onions, & mayo on a hoagie with Sweet Potato Fries $17). DELICIOUS!! It had all the right ingredients, and it was good...I just wanted MORE! A 1/3 of their Pork Ribs (with a dry run & K.C. BBQ sauce $13). ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The BBQ sauce set this off!! Tender, flavorful, EXCELLENT with the dry rub!! Their Fried Oreos ($6). STAMP!! Crispy battered fried Oreo with chocolate dip Deliciousness!! . Customer Service: Excellent & Professional. . Online Navigation. Fairly Simple . Parking: Rough Street Parking. Paid Garage Parking Available. . Recommendations: Get the Half Chicken with K.C. Thanks for the tamper proof seal. I'm glad to know that my food was secure and safe. There's NO WAY anyone could reach in that bag.

We ordered dinner from this new bbq spot via Uber Eats. The food was fantastic. My fiancee had the Carolina pulled pork bbq, with mac and cheese. It was a little bland, lacking that smoke flavour, but it was still great. The mac, though. Wow. Super creamy, and delicious. I ordered the ribs. They had a rich smoke to them, and were tender, meaty, and delicious. Their bbq sauce is a bit more tangy than I'm used to, but it was good. They lose a star, though, not only for the bland pork but especially for the lackadaisical approach to food safety with delivery, something especially important in our COVID time. The bag had a single seal tape on it, but the tape had a 2" gap, and didn't seal the bag at all. Not only could I remove items easily and replace them, but the bag was basically wide open. The piece of tape seemed token.

New customer Delivery! The brisket sandwich was tasty but the amount given was about 1/4 cup. So Overpriced ($17). There was no BBQ sauce on the sandwich and the bun was soggy. The sweet potato fries wedges tasted old as if they'd been under a heat lamp all day. The Bread pudding was meh...in taste. The portion was tiny for the amount of money you pay ($13). The Sriracha cheddar biscuits were ok but they weren't fresh either. Lastly please label your sauces! I poured chocolate on the brisket bun thinking it was BBQ sauce since there was no sauce on the brisket sandwich!

We loved everything that we ordered at Money Muscle bbq! The brisket sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The coleslaw perfectly balanced the brisket, so it didn't feel too heavy and the sauce was so good!

I like the texture & flavor of this brisket and I'm picky because I grew up on NC BBQ & honed my palate on TX brisket. It's as flavorful as TX brisket but has more fat. More fat = more flavor but I remove it before eating so less brisket to actually eat. It's a bit on the salty side so I get tired of it quickly but then I often hear that my cooking "needs more SALT" from the peanut gallery. Overall, a winner especially when there are zero contenders IMO in this neck of the woods. You get your choice of BBQ sauce. The NC is vinegary in my experience but MMBBQ's version was tangy but less vinegary than NC. Tried KC sauce tonight & liked it very much. I typically do not use much BBQ sauce but add cole slaw on top and a bun no matter the type of BBQ - needs cole slaw with it.

I recently had Money Muscle BBQ cater an event that I was hosting and the food was AMAZING! The greens, biscuits, and wings were a few of the most popular dishes but everything was good. I absolutely recommend visiting for a casual meal or for catering an event. Jen was great to work with and I look forward to dining with them again soon!

My fiancé and I ordered dinner here via Uber Eats this evening. We ordered: Texas brisket, quarter chicken dark meat, Carolina pulled pork sandwich, honey sriracha smoked wings, mac & cheese, beans and cornbread. We wanted to sample their menu! Everything was pretty delicious, there isn't another spot like this in the downtown Silver Spring area so it is great to have that new option to add to our dining list. We were a little skeptical about getting the cornbread since it was $7, but the portion was large and it was delicious. The mac & cheese was creamy and the beans were good, not the best but not terrible. The brisket was tender, a little salty but we didn't mind! The sandwich was okay, didn't seem to have any sauce which is kind of disappointing since I love sauces but I just won't order that again in the future or I will ask for extra sauce! Overall, we were impressed and will definitely order from here again soon. We would order the mac & cheese, brisket, cornbread and chicken again. My fiancé loved the chicken! Crispy and flavorful skin and juicy and moist on the inside.

The pulled pork here in particular is a star. I'm also a big fan of the ribs. So tender and juicy. Don't skip the cornbread either!

This was just gross. The pork was dry and salty. The brisket was tough and salty. The sauces were miserable. Do not get this food.

For food, the smashburger is outstanding. Definitely a cut above the average. You can choose to get it as a single or double, and the fries were salty and tasty. Onion rings are excellent, too. The cocktails might be even better, which was a pleasant surprise considering these are the people behind Midlands and Ivy & Coney, two DC icons to be sure, but not exactly known as cocktail hotspots. This place is phenomenal!…read more We visited on a Thursday, just after they opened at 11. We were able to find street parking right out front, and order pretty quickly. We got a Dino Rib, Wagyu Brisket, cornbread, banana pudding, key lime pie, blackberry cider, and water, which totaled just under $100. And I will say it was well worth it!! The only thing we probably could have done without was the key lime pie. The employees were friendly and service was quick. The whole place gave instant Texas vibes, even the bathroom matched the bbq style, super cute. We will definitely return again.

We aren't big meat eaters so perhaps might've ordered the wrong things. On the day we came, we ordered the brisket tamale (2 come in an order), an order of the Texas chili (this was the special), an order of the herby potato salad, sweet potato fries, 4 pieces of cornbread and a banana pudding. Ordering these items came to $47. My mom had a Boylan's sweet lemonade and I had a pilsner draft. We sat outside on one of the many picnic benches under a tree and sampled all the goods. Texas chili - this was pretty so-so for me and tasted like spaghetti sauce to me vs chili. It had a bit of a kick to it. I didn't really care for this dish and won't order again. Brisket tamale - this by far was the favorite item for me, however, pretty skimpy on the brisket. Some sour cream and pico de gallo would have been nice to accompany the tamale. Sweet potato fries - solid and tasty but hard to screw up fries really. Herby potato salad - way too watery for me, seemed the potatoes soaked up a lot of fluid and this style of potato salad didn't work for me. Cornbread - solid, no issues there. Banana pudding - pretty tasty, with real bananas and Nilla wafers mixed in and on top. I would come back for this. I deducted one star for some things we sampled that really didn't work. Another star deducted as the prices were higher than what I am willing to pay for given the quality and taste. Overall, a bit underwhelming but also we didn't order items that they are known for. I would come back to give more popular items a try another time.
