On January 17,2026, Me and my friend wanted to our sushi fix. Our waiter shared that they had a new Happy Hour menu ,so I decided to order all my food and drinks from that menu . Also, our waiter was very friendly and gave us amazing service. The ambiance was warm and inviting ,and also they played good music for everyone to listen too. Mongo, will always be that prefect place to for affordable good food, and great drinks hands down!!!

I have never reviewed this place, but it is an oldie but goodie. I have been here several times and it never disappoints. Happy is , stir fry is fresh, and sushi is delish. I usually sit at the bar and Joe is an awesome bartender. My fave drink is the Lycee Martini. Nothing too great about the decor, but it's clean and plenty of seating. I personally like to make my own bowl with Pad Thai noodles or rice. Another good option is their combo. You have your choice of sashimi, sushi, or roll.

This is a large, open restaurant with booths and tables. You can order bowls off the menu or go up and choose your ingredients. Our server, Rana, was quite helpful as this was our first time here. We had stuffed jalapeños as an appetizer and it was yummy. Hubby had the Mongolian seafood bowl and I had the Thai pepper beef bowl. Both were quite delicious as was my peach margarita. We will be back.

Met up with a couple of friends Thursday night for their all day happy hour and sat at the bar. The service at the bar was great. The bartender was very attentive. I tried the Mongo Tea, which is their version of a Long Island. Truthfully it was a little weird to me as I didn't read the ingredients and thought it was a regular Long Island. They put tea in theirs and I'm just not a fan. It was my fault though for not reading the obvious ingredients on the menu. Moved to rum and Coke after that and it was good. As far as the food... I ordered eggrolls as an app and they were good! Yummy. Ended up going with the chicken hibachi and I was just ok. Not really what I was expecting as I usually get chicken hibachi at Sakura and it's soooo different at mongos. They don't use a lot of seasoning, if any, and their white sauce is like water. My friends had the chicken friend rice and wontons and said they were good. The restaurant was nice and clean. Bathrooms were clean. Atmosphere was good. I'll definitely be back. Just not for hibachi.

Daily happy hour everyday. Came with hubby and son. Food was good but drinks are a no. Water taste funny and first sprite was brown, second one had black stuff floating in it. Flavor lemonade are no refills. But rice is delicious.

The bartender Joseph provided great service. I ordered the crunchy roll cooked for $7 and a mango martini from the happy hour all day menu and both were yummy. I've been coming here on and off for a while and the drinks are always strong. It's a good place to stop in and grab a drink or affordable food before or after you shop. The place and welcoming and the service is pretty good. I recommend it.

We randomly stopped in to check out this place as we never been. I do have to say , " the food was Good, the service was fast , and the meals were at an affordable price. This night, we opted for sushi , drinks and appetizers, which was very good . We figured , we would try it out first before we go for dinner. Pleasantly, the food was fresh , hot and had great flavor . Our service was great as well. Next time, I plan to explore the dinner menu. This to me deserves 4 stars as I had no issues with the service, comfortability, food or pricing.

Decided to try this due to the eat drink HTX 2024 special. We were able to get 3 courses for $25! What a steal! The process was very easy and the waiter was attentive to our needs. Definitely a nice restaurant for a date night. We went to the bar to make our bowl, when our table was clean. That is the only reason why I am giving this restaurant 4 stars. Our appetizers were gone as well as our drinks. The waiter was so nice that he refilled our drinks and appetizers. Overall, it was a good experience.

My friend had suggested this place to visit for a project of ours; we met up on a Saturday afternoon, expecting little to no people, and then were shunned by how packed the building was. The atmosphere was lively and bustling, the ambience promising, and it added to the restaurant's charm. The waiter did a great job greeting us and sitting us down at a table, both quick and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered shrimp tempura and cheese rangoons. The tempura looked fresh, the batter crispy and deeply fried: so good. Likewise, the cheese rangoons were extremely good and flavorful. The one drink I want to mention is mango lemonade, possibly the best I have ever had! We then did the "make your own bowl," which we were also satisfied with; the timing was quick and was equally good. Our experience ended with little to no flaws, besides some issues with the wings. However, whether you're craving Asian flavors or just looking for a fun dining experience, Mongo's is worth a long drive.

With the assistance of the yelp app, we called bars and restaurants sitting in the Denny's off of Woodridge drinking regular coffee. Finally, a lovely young lady picked up the phone, "Cooter Brown's." We had to take detours because the highways were closed too. I already mentioned Texas was closed. Mind you yelp said it had two reviews. I told him, "You know they are probably the owner's friends." The parking lot was empty in the front. How did the bartender get here? When we walked in to my surprise there were a handful of folks all playing darts. They have a back entrance and that's the door the regulars use. Beer only dive bar, doesn't usually suit my fancy, but this one did. They had plenty of Smirnoff in several flavors. We played few rounds of pool and enjoyed plenty of cool music from the jukebox. Everyone there was friendly, even the dude who caused a ruckus and was banned from ever going back during her shift. (Talkative on his way in, but didn't say anything to us on his way out.) Michelle the bartender took great care of us, she was in a great mood for having to work on TX Ice-pocalypse 2017. Cheers to cold, I want to see you weather, and a FUTUREcast of the sniffles. Going out in that cold weather was not a bright idea *sneeze* but going to Cooter Brown's is...

My husband ordered "Cashew" with chicken - it included cashews, carrots, bell pepper, onion and dried peppers. Both entrees came with a veggie egg roll. (pics attached). I wasn't a fan of my dish but my husband liked his. I did really like the egg roll. I think I'll give this place another chance but will get something different. Also, I'll get chicken next time. We stopped by for Trivia Night on a weekday and the parking lot was completely full. I ended up parking on the street a few minutes away by foot. Ambiance (3/5): Rob Ray's is a casual, no frills, open air taproom. Most of the seating is at picnic-style tables. After a while, I grabbed a chair to have some back support. There's also no A/C so I imagine it can get pretty toasty when it's hot outside. The walls are covered with flags of different colleges. I found my alma mater, the University of Michigan, which was pretty awesome! Service (4.5/5): You order at the bar. The service is friendly and even Rob Ray was there. They also have some seltzers. If you're looking for a deal, you can buy tokens at a flat rate. They also allow you to make donations with your purchase to firefighters, nurses, police officers, etc. which is a really nice touch. It makes giving back easy if you'd like to do so! Overall: While I wish they had A/C and the seating was a little more comfortable, I would definitely return to try out some more of their beers. Trivia was a good time too. They had prizes for first and second place. While my team didn't win, we fought valiantly until the end!

I've passed by Nishiki on numerous occasions so I was overdue to check it out. I stopped by on a Saturday morning with my mom for lunch. Free parking is easy in the shopping center they share with several other businesses including a bubble tea shop. Ambiance (5/5): Nishiki is an elegant restaurant without being stuffy. Not something you see on a lot of menus these days so it was a nice surprise. Food (5/5): The chef at Nishiki used to work at Nobu. No surprise as that level of excellence is seen in the food. Their sushi is hand rolled. I had the crunch roll which has tempura shrimp, crab, and avocado. I also tried a seasonal sushi item with scallops that's different from anything I've ever tried before. It was wrapped in seaweed and there is some plastic on the outside that you pull to keep your roll together. Cool concept! We also shared some gyoza and grilled edamame. Pro tip: go with the grilled edamame rather than the regular edamame. The grilled version has garlic and some other seasoning. Edamame to the next level. The food at Nishiki isn't cheap. But the quality is there. There's a reason the reviews are so good. It's now one of my favorite restaurants in town. Up there with Killen's BBQ.
