    Peanut Rama
    Jennifer N.

Went for lunch and had their lunch special. I got the chicken peanut rama and it came with the soup of the day and a veggie egg roll. The portion size is normal, but they serve it on a huge plate so the extra empty space makes it look much smaller. The chicken peanut rama was sweet and nutty. It was different than what I normally get at Thai restaurants and I didn't know what to think of it. It came with a handful of vegetables and rice. We had a little booth and gratuity was immediately added. Overall, not a bad place. Definitely will need to try their other menu items!

Came here for Houston restaurant weeks and loved it! The place was so cute and vibrant. We only had to wait about 10 mins on a Friday night for 5 people. The staff gave quick service and came to get our drink orders as soon as we sat down, since we had to wait to get our table (so nice!!). The apps were my favorite - golden shrimp, sa-té chicken, and wings of paradise - all amazing! The fam loved experiencing the multi-course meal. Would highly recommend for family night!

My family and I came for Houston Restaurant Week and were very pleased with our experience. Despite being a Friday evening, there was ample parking, and we had a short wait before getting seated. The restaurant was sleek and spacious inside. When we pored over the Restaurant Week menu, however, we had a big problem... We couldn't figure out what to get!! Fortunately between 4 people, we got to sample many items: -Thai iced tea & Thai jasmine green tea: for me they were both a touch too sweet, but after the ice watered them down and I finishing the large meal, the extra sweetness was dulled and felt just right -Chicken Sa Té and Wings of Paradise were both excellent, well marinated and seasoned, and not overcooked. Each plate came with enough pieces to share with 2-3 people -For my entree, I got the Tiger Cry and really enjoyed it. The charbroiled meat was soft, had the freshly grilled taste I was hoping for, and not overcooked. The fried rice had the perfect aroma and was not overdone with seasoning, and the steamed vegetables with tangy lime sauce were the perfect additions to complete the meal and complement all the flavors. -To finish, the mango & sweet rice was a good blend of sweet, salty, and a little sour, although I usually prefer my mango more ripe and sweet. All my family members and I were extremely satisfied with our choices and glad we did the multi course menu to get an idea of what to order next time we are back!

Food quality is maintained and service quality too. If you have been here after the upgrade, you will agree that the ambiance is very much improved. Right now they have promotional gift cards sale going on. Except for soup which is always a base of chicken broth, everything they make has vegetarian options so I get to binge. Their lunch special with spring rolls and a rice item is a really good deal.

I've gone here many times both to dine in and for takeout. They participate in restaurants week for Houston and for Pearland. Their food is great. Their service is great too. They have changed up their seating arrangement, which seems to work.

Vegetable Soft Rolls & Chicken Crispy Rolls
    Mari F.

Visited for dinner and were warmly welcomed by the staff and lovely atmosphere. Started with the chicken crispy rolls and vegetable soft rolls, perfect, tasty bite with flavorful sauces for both. Our entrees were chicken pad thai (plenty saved for leftovers), pineapple curry with pork, and pad kee mao with chicken and shrimp--all tailored to our heat levels, and everything was hot, fresh and delicious!

Ordered HRW take out from this restaurant over the weekend. For their promotion you get 4 courses, not just 3. I was disappointed that they did not have anymore Curry Puff. That was what I really wanted to try because it was different. I had to settle for the Golden Shrimp, which is just plain tempura shrimp in a dipping sauce. For second course I ordered Tom Yum soup with shrimp - level 3. The spice level just barely medium in my opinion and I could've probably did level 4. I do like that it had a lot of mushrooms, but not enough shrimp. It was like 3 shrimps. For entree I ordered the Red Snapper curry - level 3. Once again, I feel like their levels aren't as spicy as other Thai restaurants, so I could have gotten a 4. The curry tasted good. It also came with steamed jasmine rice and a veggie medley of carrots, broccoli and mushroom. Everything was packed separately. For dessert I had the fried banana and coconut ice cream. I thought it was going to be a whole fried banana, but it was cut up in pieces and fried in the same wrap they use for the rolls. It wasn't crunchy by the time I came around to it but I stuck it in the air fryer for a few min to refresh it. I really liked the coconut ice cream. You can tell it's made fresh with coconut shavings in it. It came with a honey on side to drizzle and the combination of all 3 was a great pairing. I ate the left overs 2 days later and the curry tasted so much better once it soaked in.

This was a very good Thai experience. There was a bit of a wait when we sat down but that was because of the timing (the restaurant just opened at 5) and there was only the one server. For the appetizer we had the Thai dim sum - really good. I had green curry (one of the best I've had) and hubby had seafood with chili paste. Both were excellent and the portions are a good size. The restaurant does a fantastic take out (during our meal about 15 orders were carried out) ! The restaurant itself is airy and clean but not large. We will be back.

    Basil chicken

The delicious basil sauce can not hide that the Chicken still tastes like fridge and it has been 5 years since my last review. I had moved away so didn't frequent as much. Place has been redecorated and some tables moved or gone. Service is prompt. Lunch specials still offered. I just need to remember to get something other than chicken.

Ambiance (3.5/5): Thai Stellar is a small but nice restaurant. We were seated at a booth. I love a good both, and that is what most of the seating consists of at this Thai restaurant. Service (4.5/5): Overall, the service was quite good. Efficient and attentive. Two of the main things I look for. Drinks (3.5/5): I ended up going with an orange soda, because the da chanh, fresh lemonade, was quite pricey. I couldn't justify it. Food (4/5): I went with the combination pad see ew which comes with chicken, beef, and pork. Pad see ew is my favorite Thai dish and it is done at a high level here. The noodles are perfection. The sauce is perfection. And there's a good amount of meat. It's a little pricey though I get that you're getting three meats. That seems to be the trend at Thai Stellar. We stayed away from the satay appetizer for the same reason and opted for the more affordable egg rolls (2). Which were crispy and complimented nicely by some sweet chili sauce. Overall, excellent food. Just more than you would expect to pay at a neighborhood restaurant in the suburbs.

The food overall was flavorful and fresh. The noodles were cooked well and had a nice balance of sauce without being too heavy. The sweet & sour pork had that classic crispy texture with a bold sauce. The crab cheese puffs were decent crispy on the outside and creamy inside but I do wish they had a little more crab flavor to really elevate them. One small detail I loved: the to-go bags. They were sturdy, well-designed, and matched the restaurant's aesthetic definitely gives that extra polished touch. Overall: Great service, solid food, and good value. We walked in and were told to sit where we wanted and handed menus. They took our drink orders first and after bringing our drinks, they also brought us small bowls with a consume style chicken soup/broth. This was tasty, I enjoyed it. They took our orders a couple of minutes after as well. We started by getting 3 appetizers, the calamari, chicken satay and the dumplings. My friend ordered the Pad Thai (medium level spicy ness so maybe a 2-3?), and my other friend and I got the Maiasian fried rice box which comes with shrimp fried rice and a fried chicken cutlet on top. You can also choose your level of spice on this dish. My friend went with a 2 and I chose not to get it spicy as spicy food causes me stomach issues. After placing our order, our first appetizer came out in about 5 minutes and it was the calamari. I could see the seasoning on the breading, they looked tasty and some were fried crispier than others but nothing was overcooked. Upon first bite, the flavor was really good but the spice on them kicks in after you've ate it and they are HOT. I can handle a small amount of heat but these felt like a 5. Needless to say I only ate two. The chicken satay was my favorite of the appetizers, the dipping sauce is peanut butter forward which I loved because you get the saltiness right away along with that PB taste and the sweetness and mild spice come after. The cucumber provided with the satay was the cooling agent I needed to sedate the heat from the calamari. It was cool, refreshing and sweet. The dumplings were pork and shrimp and come with a soy dipping sauce. They were tasty as well, not the best I've had, but enjoyable. Seasoned perfectly. My dish, the Maiasian fried rice box was delicious! The shrimp are a nice size, fairly big, and my favorite vegetable in the rice was the broccoli. The chicken cutlet was fried perfectly too. I really enjoyed it and the one my friend got wasn't too spicy at a level 2. I'd say it was still pretty mild. I did get a taste of the Pad Thai and at a level 3 spice I'd say. It was sweet with that spice kicking in after. It was milder than I thought but over all still a good Pad Thai. After we finished eating, they brought us to go boxes since we all didn't really finish our plates. It was a lot of food and they also brought us these home made cookies with a chocolate frosting on them in the shape of a star. Not sure what kind of cookies these were, maybe sugar cookies I'd say, but they were DELICIOUS! If they would sell boxes of these to go I'd buy 2 or 3 of them hahaha. They were the best thing to end our meals with. I forgot to mention that our food came out pretty fast, and the kitchen is in the dining area so you can see, hear and smell the food being prepared. Aside from the sound of the chef cooking, the restaurant has a quiet ambience and I find it quite cozy. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. It's really a hidden gem.
