I was first drawn to Monique's work due to its light, bright, airy, and warm feeling and am so happy to have had her document these important milestones for us. We've now worked with Monique 4 times -- for our engagement session, our wedding, our son's "newborn" (it was a little late) session, and our son's first birthday party -- so it should be abundantly clear that we are more than happy with her and her work! Monique is reliable, easy to communicate with, and flexible as needed. We first met her at Downtown Disneyland for our engagement photos and she helped to get me and my husband in cute poses with clean backgrounds despite the huge crowds! We had some hiccups with our wedding which was rescheduled due to Covid, and she handled those changes with ease. Our wedding was on a Friday evening right after the Daylight Savings time change, so much of the event was after sunset, so she helped me to sort out some of the timing of our events to optimize our photo lighting. We have some amazing outdoor photos during golden hour. There was a very narrow window of time to get a ton of group photos done, and Monique was assertive about getting everyone in place and moving before the sun set. Even the photos taken after sunset are well-lit. For our newborn photoshoot, Monique didn't have direct experience working with newborns but was willing to coordinate with us to find an appropriate set and props. For our son's birthday party, I had never had a photographer on-site for something like that, but Monique worked with me to build a package that worked within my budget and I was so happy to have had her there. I have since learned to store multiple copies of my photos in distinct sources immediately upon receiving them, but when I did have an incident where the photos went "missing," Monique quickly sent me another copy. We showed up early on the date of the shoot and she was already there. She spent extra time with us and got right down to business. My girlfriends and I were in the midst of planning a bachelorette getaway for our bride to be and we wanted to gift our bff a photo session because she loves to get her photos taken.
