Food and service is great! Owner is really cool .. the kitchen is really fast ... pizza is great!

Lets start off with the good...Greeted by the waitress as soon as we walked in. The ambiance is nice, soft music, clean and well kept. Ok now the bad.....We ordered a large bada Bing, chicken piccata, chicken Alfredo, and side order of meatballs. However, we did not get the meatballs and they brought out a medium pizza. Food was luke warm as though it had been sitting in the back. The chicken in the piccata did not have any flavor AT ALL. I was not impressed with my food. The Alfredo sauce was watered down. The waitress came to the table 1 time after taking our order. The manager never ackledge us as he was checking in on other guest. Even offered a couple free dessert because their order was wrong. Guess he was ok with messing up our order. I will not return. Sparacello Deli food and service was way better! read more

Still a 3, bordering on a 2. Hot? Yes. Pasta cooked properly? Ok. When the menu says "Spaghetti and meatballs", note the plural. Giving me one small/medium sized meatball does not constitute "meatballs". If I recall correctly, I had 3 last time. Now, the meatballs are "ok" but the absence of their "okness" is daunting. Also, I ordered garlic bread. You might want to amend your menu to say "sub sandwich loaf, buttered and hit with some garlic salt". You then put it in foil, and if anyone does not eat it immediately, it is a tough, chewy, salty mess. Throw some herbs on it or something, lazy. Again, I could wound people at range with the "roll" contained in the order, as it's hard as a rock. The best part? This time I ordered the side of fresh garlic and it was awesome. To be fair though, it's not on the menu... not good when one of the best parts of a 10$ lunch is the non-menu item accoutrements. I could also be wrong, but I think this used to come with a side salad. If it did, that is no more. I ate most of it, largely because the garlic was good. The sauce was ok, a little sweet, but missing some herb notes in it (oregano, basil). read more

I've been getting the mussels posillipo consistently for years now and every time it is delicious. When the mussels aren't a good batch the owner will not serve them. The pizzas and other red sauce pastas have all been tasty. the owner, I believe his name is Dave is a friendly talkitive guy who puts in so much effort into his business. He is always understaffed and looking for help. His employees are young and still learning customer service. This makes the service kinda slow but just be patient and kind and enjoy the great food. read more

Food was horrible. This was highly recommended by so many people saying go and definitely get the pink sauce.... I think I was setup.

Come support this amazing local business!! I haven't been here in years and just moved back to the area so of course had to try it again. Just as good as ever, and it was my favorite growing up. Italians is my favorite, and it's authentic Italian food... the Alfredo sauce is astounding. The staff is so incredibly kind and appreciative, and the prices are great as well. I typically get pasta (they have every type of noodle that I know of) and my friends tell me their pizza and salads are great too. I can never ever leave without a cannoli, though!! I believe the waiter said something about BYOB as they don't serve alcohol, I'll update next time I go because it will be soon! I am a New Yorker, and this place is the absolute best around for pizza! Their Italian dishes are spot on and delicious. This place brings a slice of the Big Apple to the Lonestar State. I am so glad that it is just a few minutes away from where we live. There is a cozy little restaurant vibe for dining in, and Moni's has warm customer service. Moni's is as close to the classic pizza as they get. Out of all the pizza places that there are in DFW, Moni's is the best. Pizzas are supposed to have oil on top. Any New York pizza that I have ever seen was swimming in hot, hot oil. I like that there is just enough cheese and tomato sauce. If I could have one thing added, I would put the kind of cheese on top that when you bite into it, the cheese pulls out in a long string dripping down the side. Mmmmah! read more

Really wish I could like this place because it is close to home but the food there is so bland! But, they do have good pizza...most of the time. I called in to place an order. Someone picked up the phone and never said anything but I could tell there was a male voice taking someone else's ordered so I just held until he could get to me. I can tell he was getting frustrated with the person on the other phone. A female ended up picking up the phone to take my order. As she was taking my order, the male finished up his phone call and could be heard saying "oh just a customer giving me a hard time". I have been in there several times to get pizza and it seems he is always complaining about something. He is very talkative. I ordered the Bada Bing to go. The large pizza is a good size and has plenty of toppings. But the pizza gets soggy in the middle. Maybe it needs to cook longer. I always end up sticking it in the oven when I get home to give it that crispy crust. Glad they made it through the pandemic without closing its doors for all the locals that like it but it will be awhile before I return. read more

The first time I ordered pizza here it was great. But every time since then it has declined rapidly. Tonight I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza. It was very greasy and the pepperoni was gross. I picked it all off. I have NEVER thrown a pizza out before but tonight it found it's way into the trash. Last time I will order from them, I'm sorry to say. The customer service was great though. Since we live fairly far from Glenn Heights, we've only visited Moni's four or five times. I want to make clear that the food has always been good, and no complaints about the service. However, the last time we were there, I had to use the restroom and was appalled at the buildup of grime on the outside of the ladies' room door, from countless hands pushing on it for entry. Especially as we've just lived through the pandemic, I'm astonished that more attention wasn't given to cleaning every surface that's frequently touched by hands. Restroom doors, tops of chairs - look at them and see if they're kept clean. read more

I stopped in to buy a pizza and saw an on duty police officer getting his ear talked off by another customer. My father in law is a police officer and I know that they get a discount when in uniform. I also know exactly what the discount is. After I paid for my pizza I told the girl I'd like to pay for his food. I ran out to my car to grab more money and when I came back in the manager was at the register ringing up the order for me. He said the total was $20.46 I was extremely shocked and said "yikes, that's more than I can afford" he replied "ya, he got the most expensive thing on the menu." Even if he did get the most expensive thing on the menu it would not have been $20.46 with the police discount. I had to leave not paying for his food. Bummer that i tried to do something nice for a man who puts his life on the line and Moni's is trying to profit....makes me think he would have charged the officer as well. Next time I'll had the police officer the cash but will NEVER support this place again! read more
