I used to love this truck! Not sure if they possibly got a new chef but the quality of the food has not been the same. I would order from them pretty often and my food had always come fresh and fast. I had to give them a break as I got extremely sick once. I am not sure if the food was old or what the situation may have been but it wasn't good at all. I decided to give them another chance and I am sad to say that nothing improved. The meat in my sandwich had to have been sitting there for hours if not days the bread was as hard as a rock. They were also extremely rude when I called to ask if they could possibly remake the food. While the pics look great; you definitely won't get what you expect. Hoping things improve !

The food that I received from here has to be the most disgusting food I have ever had delivered to me. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it smelled FOUL!! As soon as I opened it, I knew something was off... Good thing I was smart enough to open it and inspect what was actually inside of my quesadilla. I found something inside that almost made me throw up; it was slimey and stinky.  The second was part of my order, the grilled chicken with tostones, had to be at least a day old. It was cold to the touch and rubbery.  Any place that serves this quality food to their customers does not deserve any support. -- Embarrassing.

    Poor hygiene practices

Post keeps being deleted! Why support a business that puts your health at risk? I tried the food from here when they initially launched and were located on the parking garage by Made In Mexico. Something didn't sit right after consuming and I never returned. As I was walking home one morning I saw the unsafe practices of this food truck. Cleaning kitchen utensils and bowls on the curbside with dirty street water. No wonder so many previous customers are getting food poisoning. RESPECT YOURSELF AND AVOID AT ALL COST!

This place is my absolute favorite! Been coming here since they opened & the staff is like family to my friends & I. Service is great & the food is amazing. Their cheese pastelitos are life! (Make sure you get the sauce!) if we're really hungry, we split an order of tostones with chicken & chuleta ahumada, BOMB! Definitely recommend anyone to come here, especially after a night out! Shoutout to Kathy, El Feo, Colitah & Christian! Okurrrrrr ;)

I was on a quick trip to New York from Washington, DC been hearing a lot of hype about trying a Dominican Chimichurri...this spot was recommended by a friend so I tried it out for lunch........WOW, WOW, WOW it was absolutely amazing (Presidente beer was purchased at a nearby gas station). It was soooo good that I went back 4 hours later for another one. If you are looking for a good Chimichurri this is definitely the place (truck) to get it from.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!

The flavor was great and it was just enough to fill me. The fish and chips were very delicious. The batter was nice and fluffy and the fish was huge. We loved the French onion soup, it had great flavor and the cheese on top made it so amazing! everything came out hot and delicious. We got there pretty early and I wish that we had gone on a day they had breakfast. The breakfast photos caught my eye. After we paid and gave our 20% auto gratuity, our waiter Jose asked if we wanted to leave additional gratuity. Our tip was already $25 and I was actually surprised he asked for more. We declined and left. Out of my whole entire trip this was the only restaurant that asked for more than the 20%. I found it rather odd. My review is based off the food itself.

He took the time to listen to our concerns and invited our group back so we could give their group another chance. While I still stand by how our initial experience made us feel, I also think it's important to acknowledge when a business owner responds with professionalism and genuinely works to rebuild trust. Our return visit was a completely different experience. I appreciate the way the owner handled the situation and his willingness to have an open conversation with us. It doesn't change what happened that first night, but it did change my impression of how much he cares about his guests and his business. I wanted my review to reflect that as well.

There was a wonderful bartender and waiter (both from Ireland) working the night that we went. They were both delightfully witty. Playful banter with one another and with the customers which made our experience quite entertaining. Burgers and fries were DELICIOUS. Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
