When I first ordered from them I wasn't expecting much. I've been disappointed too many times in the past. If there's a"complaint", it's that their sandwiches tend to be a bit heavy handed on the meats. There's as much meat as all the other toppings. I've never walked into the shop, but everything indicates that they slice the meats and possibly the cheese, to order, unlike many of the competitors. They have become my go-to for sandwiches. I really like their sandwiches and they play some great music. It is a great place for lunch! The only reason for the 4 star rating is because they do not have free refills on their fountain drinks. Not only are the refills not free, they are $1! This is crazy since their drink prices are $1.50 for a small, $1.80 for a medium, and $2.20 for a large. The sign for designating the refill price is on the drink machine and probably not seen by many, only by those that are going to get irritated by it. Man, I wanted to like this place so much but it just fell short. The two stars are for the friendly staff that, although messing up my order (no bacon or avocado on my Turkey Bacon Avocado) causing me to go back and pick up the correct to go order, were very kind and apologetic. I get it, mistakes are made and they comped the incorrect sandwich and gave me a few 10% off coupons. After leaving the second time I thought, they showed good customer support and this mess up won't be enough to keep me away for a second trip. Then at home when I tried the sandwich, that's what did it. Although massive in portion, the turkey bacon avocado was flavorless, the bacon was old, and the bread... stale? My jaw hurt after working through my half of the sandwich. My wife only took 3-4 bites before waving the white flag. I don't think I'll be using those coupons for a second trip. On top of it all, it's quite a bit more expensive than say, Subway. It pains me to leave a bad review, I usually don't say anything at all if bad, but like I said, I wanted to like this place so I hope this helps the owners improve. Ok, i'm a deli sandwich snob. I'm very picky about fresh ingredients, quality of the bread, the meat/cheese, and most of all the toppings/sauces. Whenever I go in to a new sandwich shop, it's typical for at least one of those to be off the mark. Not at Monkey's Subs! Enjoyed three different sandwiches from them today: the monkey barrel, the turkey and the roast beef. They were each delicious and scored a "10" on all of the above areas in my book. Not only did they deliver, and deliver the serious goodies (Loved the Monkey wrench, and especially the hot pastrami), the manager even phoned us afterward to make sure we were satisfied w/our order. It seems like such a simple gimmick, but doggone it, in a metropolis filled to overflow w/inattentive, indifferent service (where everyone is waiting to be a reality star, or screen writer, or rapper, or athlete blah blah friggin blah blah blahhhhh, and couldn't care less about meeting YOUR needs), this is an appreciable difference. I took my lunch to come to this sub place, due to the owner coming into my work and promoting his new location. This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I am about to report them to the health inspector. I had ordered two hot subs and they took both subs in their wraps and place them in the MICROWAVE!!!! and called it a "HOT SUB"!!!! The subs were super nasty, the bread was soggy and the flavor was not good. I was very disappointed and pissed that this location is using that method. To top it all off they forgot to give me my chips. They charge too much money for this method to be used!!!! I didn't even want to give them one star, but I had too!!!!! read more

I have to say I enjoy their subs, I have been in two or three times though it's a bit out of my way. They have good sized portions and the prices are just a bit higher than I would prefer. The sandwiches are made right in front of you fresh to order, which can take a while especially if there is a line, but again the food is good. The bread has always need good as well. My family truly loves this organization. We have gone to each location. My favorite location is the tanasborne location off of 185th. I am ONLY giving this score because of the total inadequate ordering system for delivery. If I call and speak to employee I get exactly what I want. Every single time I have ordered online sandwiches were all wrong and I don't get what I pay for. I have called the restaurant each time, not once was I offered refund or replacement (Farmington). Last 2 times I got promise that manager would call me. And of course, no call I spend no less than $50 each time and yet stay loyal. You guys need to try keep loyal clients like me. read more

She was swamped with orders but had the best attitude and took care of each customer very quickly considering she was working alone. Not once did she complain or get grumpy. I asked for light light oil and vinegar asking not to make it soggy and tons of pepperoncinis. Received a soggy sandwich and not even 2 sliced pepperoncinis. OK could have lived. There was hardly any tuna at all. Couldn't even taste it. The others I've mentioned has better bread and way more tuna and this sucker cost me almost$10. Husband got a French dip. Got lots of juice. Seemed to have lots of meat, he said definitely NOT get the cream cheese in it (came that way) but he said was tasty. This place is great! I love sandwiches and this place hits all the right spots! Let me break it down. First, I wanted to try 2 different subs so I figured, get 2 half sandwiches. I'm a pastrami lover so I had to try the hot pastrami. Ordered as it comes, cheese mustard pickles meat and bread. It was great!! The pastrami is good and the melt of ingredients really was fantastic, I could taste all the parts and they all were above average at worst to great at best! The other half (I should note, one 'half' is ample but I'm porker when it comes to sandwiches) was a monkey wrench, it's basically a meat-tastic treat with all the good stuff. Again the flavor was awesome, everything was fresh tasting and it all came together gloriously! It's a ton of sandwich and a great value for 6.50 for the half!! Visited this little sandwich shop while waiting for my husband to come and fix my flat tire. The shop was clean and welcoming. The crew all greeted me as my daughter and I entered. We ordered a gluten-free grilled cheese with avocado slices. The guy who took our order offered us a free chocolate chip cookie, since it was Friday and I thought that was really nice. Our sandwich was made pretty quickly and was super delicious. It was hot, the cheese was completely melted, which is difficult to get actually. It was a great experience and will return. read more

These are great sandwiches, they are not subway or jimmy johns. If you like a actual sandwich eat here. It can be difficult if you are used to subway to readjust to real sandwiches again but I promise you can. I've had a variety of their cold sandwiches and all have been great.
