I had an inspection appointment for noon on 9.12.2023 (made a week ahead) at Monroe Auto Service at 903 Ridge Rd Webster. I entered the shop to drop off the car key and waited for the guy before me to finish. When it was my turn, somebody called to ask for information. They talked for about 5 minutes on many issues, and they were done, the receptionist asked the customer which part of the country is he moving from. It turned out the receptionist had lived there, and then they started a lengthy conversation about this and other areas and how nice it was there. After a few minutes of a fun, relaxing talk, I reminded the receptionist I was waiting and in line in the shop before that guy called. Do I have to stay in line to listen to the personal experiences of the receptionist in the past? I told the receptionist that I needed the car at 3:15 p.m. He said there was no way they could finish it by 3 p.m. since they had other cars. Why did you make my appointment at noon if you can't complete the inspection for 3 hours? He offered me to reschedule my inspection for the next week. Being from out of state I was reluctant to deal with a shop I didn't know. My tire pressure was really low & I needed an assessment. Tava the store's manager checked the air in all my tires & noted that indeed the one tire most likely had a leak. He put air in my tire & got me an appointment asap. Because I have a warranty with Monroe's sister company it didn't cost me a dime. Get the warranty folks! The shop was clean and I can't say enough about the manager! Customers beware!! My husband just recently had his car inspected at this shop. When we dropped off the car, he didn't realize that he had accidentally left his wallet in the center console until it was time to leave to go back and pick it up. When we arrived to pick up the car, the wallet was missing from where he had left it. We asked the manager but everyone denied seeing or taking the wallet (not that we would expect them to admit to it). We did file a police report. It's just extremely upsetting to have something like this happen. We have been loyal customers since moving in a few years ago and we will not be returning. read more

We have been taking our cars here for a few years. Prior to that we took them to a Monro location in Irondequoit. They have always done a good job for us and at a price far less than the dealers charge for the same work. read more

Beware of this place. Make sure you ask for prices before doing any work on your vehicle with them. Please consider asking a friend about seeing a reasonably priced mechanic before coming here. Had to get a simple purge valve fixed on my vehicle (part costs $70 online) and they priced out $218, which is outrageous. $130 for a diagnosis, which takes 10 seconds to diagnose after watching a simple YouTube video. $80 for maintenance. Find a way to steer clear of a corporate ridden place like this one. read more

I'd like to leave zero stars. My wife went in for a NYS safety inspection and was told she needed 4 new tires even though the ones we had were just 2 years old (and from a monro shop). It was within warrantee period, and they wouldn't fix the problem because she didn't have documentation of every tire rotation. We decided not to get new tires, failed inspection, and we went to a different shop. The new shop found that the tires were totally fine- no need to get new ones even though we had actually ordered them to be on location - and were very clear that we should not go back to this Monro place. Clearly Monro was making crap up to take advantage of woman they figured would be an easy target. Shameful. STAY AWAY. read more

Beware! I am writing this review from a bad experience I had here many years ago that I will never forget. This place took advantage of me when I brought my car in for a NYS inspection. I was 21 years old and naive, believed them when they said I needed new brakes, and found out later I was severely overcharged and from the sounds of it, my brakes would have been good for another couple years at least. I was young and all my savings went to this repair that was overpriced by 5X. Never patronize this company! Crooks! read more

Had an appointment. Appointment was confirmed by phone and email. After 75 minutes of waiting they still did not even move the car in the shop yet. All they said was we'll take you next. I left and will take my business elsewhere. What a waste of time. My time is valuable also. read more

Let me start with if there was a negative star I would use it for this company. My trouble started at this monro and continued to pa where I live. While we were on our way to visit family in ny our car started to make a noise. We use monro at home so trusted them to take our car there while away from home. I explained the noise to the worker(later found out he was the manager) not even 5 minutes later he tells me it's a wheel bearing and it's going to cost $300 something. " I m lucky to be alive" " he can't believe we drove it like this" "I m not leaving his shop" Ok fix it. Its going to be 2 to 3 hours. But I can go wonder around in 0 degree weather while I wait. I got a ride. Couple hours later he calls me. They can't get the axle and wheel hub off. They 've warmed it 3 times and have been banging on it to no avail. I now need to pay $670 total for 2 more New parts. I don't have the money for that. "Well I guess your going to have to take a cab back to pa" "call me back when u get the money to fix it" I was so upset. This manager is a complete douchbag. I borrowed the money and they fixed the car. The work and parts are warranted. Now we leave to drive back home. The car starts to make the same noise We took it in for. That was on Sunday. So on Monday we take it to a monro at home. That manager says it's the rack and pinion. That will cost $1200. I call corporate and the best they can do is almost $800 here in pa but closer to $600 if I drive back up 5 hours to ny. WTF I M SO IRRITATED! Now we took it to a few different garages to be looked at and there saying the wheel bearing they put on is bad. So we go to another monro and they tell us"there is NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR" I M AT A COMPLETE LOSS FOR WORDS! I JUST WANT MY CAR FIXED! MONRO IS FULL OF MORONS!!!!! I M SO DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY WONT BACK UP THEIR WARRANTY AND WE'RE BEING TREATED SO BADLY. NEVER AGAIN :( read more
