    Moon pie

First and foremost, I am sorry to disappoint because I did NOT order the hot chicken -- as I got older, spicy food does not agree with my body -- but I bet it tastes good! My boyfriend would constantly talk about the moon pies from Monroe's, so we finally decided to get one, and just eat dinner here, as well. We each ordered the 3 piece tender + fries box with a drink since they have the GOOD soda machines here. (BTW, I mixed vanilla + coke and it was top tier!) They do not play when it comes to the portion. The chicken tenders were huge! But I'm not complaining. We both got the "Southern" flavor, which has no spice at all, and it was golden and delicious. The sauce they provide to dip it in was already spicy for me (it has a flavorful kick), so I could not even imagine eating past mild flavor. The crinkle cut fries were so crispy and very well seasoned. Though the meal was good, the star of the show was, in fact, the moon pie. It was bigger than the palm of my hand, and took up most of my face. Just thinking about it makes me sad because I can't have it right now, so you will all just need to try it. It was not busy when we went (a weekday around 6pm), so we got the food fairly quickly. Like someone else commented, there is not a lot of human interaction because you order on screens, which I didn't mind! The aesthetic is also super cool too. There was an outline on the floor of a "dead body," which I also thought was funny!

This was our first time here and we weren't too impressed. Things we ordered: - chicken sandwich - medium spice level was pretty solid, no complaints here - 3 piece tenders with fries - By the time we got around to eating the tenders, the bottom was soggy bc of all that grease. I will say, they were very generous with the fries. - side of waffles - flavor was on point but just too thick Service was good, prices were fair, food was mediocre, at least they played good music!

Great decision to stop by and try if you're into spicy chicken. It's a neatly decorated chicken house. At the Scottsdale Rd location, the walls are adorned with the mug shots of many famous and infamous personalities. The chicken was good. It was tender and juicy. I ordered a medium spicy (that's when you start to feel the warm) chicken sandwich. It was filled with pickles and coleslaw and surrounded by a toasted bun that rightly fit the size of the chicken and it's condiments of flavor. It was so good, that I helped myself to some of Liz's when she wasn't looking. Noah's chicken strips were good, but they needed some spice to it, he will learn. The krinkle cut fries were crunchy and hot. Noemi went with the fried pickles. One, they filled the basket and two, they were good. Lotsa pickles. Tyler helped Liz out with how the orders system and menu works. He was friendly and helpful. Great for a late time snack.

The freshest, juiciest, most flavorful hot chicken in the valley!!! This was the perfect reward for a challenging hike on a Sunday afternoon with friends. They also enjoyed the chicken and fries. The weather was perfect for sitting on the patio! We were a little disappointed it took over 25 minutes to receive our orders. We've never had that happen in all of the times we've been to both Monroe's locations.

The music and vibe in this restaurant is exactly what you want from a fried chicken restaurant. One of the cooler designs on the wall with mugshots from every celebrity you can think of. The fried chicken sandwich was good this time, it's been better the other times I've had it. The bun lacks crunch, the slaw and pickles on it provide a unique flavor to the sandwich but lacks flavor. The chicken isn't very crunchy and if you get it hot you're asking for some spice which is why I chose medium. The fries are great. I know what you're thinking, "you're saying that about crinkle cut fries, Austin doesn't know what he's talking about?" I agree crinkle cut isn't great but these are perfect. They have an interesting spicy Cajun-esque seasoning and are perfect. I recommend going here because it is one of the better fried chicken sandwiches in the Valley!

Saw the advertisement on this HOT chicken and I'm all about spicy. I ordered their original Fried chicken sandwich Hot and some crinkled fries. Was expecting a huge chicken breast that looked exactly like the picture and being juicy. For all that meat it needed some ranch on every bite. Also I should have added cheese like my husband and the coleslaw was not overpowering. The crinkled fries were the best I ever tasted, crunchy and well seasoned. The service was humble and pleasant. The weather was wonderful that we enjoyed eating outside. Can't wait to return.

Monroe's Hot Chicken was definitely a smash. I went with friends before going to a comedy show and we grabbed the regular fried chicken sandwich, some crispy tenders, and a salad (I know, I know, almost a cardinal sin at a hot friend chicken joint!). But we also ordered some collard greens and fried pickles. Took about 15 min to get our individual orders, you walk up and order at the counter, and they call your name/number up when it's ready. The crispness of the fried pickles was nice. It almost felt like they'd been air fried, they weren't overly greasy, but lightly breaded and crisped, which was nice. The collard greens had a zing to it, and we liked that flavor. Unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the Mac and cheese (it's my fault) so can't speak to that but someone please try it and let me know how much they love it! And finally; the sandwiches... the person taking our order asked us if we'd been to Dave's Hot Chicken because their spice is hotter because it's a "wet" sauce. I had not, so that reference didn't help, but it did scare me enough to order the medium and not the hot (which I was originally going to do). Later realized the hot (my friend ordered hot and gave me a bite), it was goooood hot, and I should have stuck to my guns. The chicken salad came with greens, tomatoes, and I ordered ranch. Their ranch style I give it a 3/5, and I'm a particularly big fan of RUNNY ranch, and this one was easily a 6 out of 10 (10 being the most runny) on the spectrum. Good flavor, nice with the pickles. Containers were pretty small and they gave me two. The place was fairly empty when we arrived, maybe 2 guests, music was loud, felt fresh and cool in there, and there are tables along side the wall. Not a lot of room for big parties or groups but then again; I'm sure they'd be able to make some accommodations if you did come with a crowd. You have to go past the building and park in the back and in a garage and walk out. Not super hard to figure out but not as easily findable as I would like. Now that I know it's easy, it's fine. Overall pretty good, I'd like to come back but go to their central Phoenix location. This one is in Tempe and right off the freeway.

Ordered take out from here today, and I asked for the sauce of my 2 sandwiches on the side. I ordered 2 chicken tenders ($5 each, crazy) and all 3 items did not come with a sauce. Now I have $100 worth of food that I'm not going to eat, without a customer service number on their website or my receipt to fix this. I live 30 mins away, so I'm not driving back.

Pretty juicy fried chicken. Nothing over the top but a good spot for classic chicken sandwich and fries. Though not sure what really got me to want hot fried chicken randomly in AZ in the hot temp but glad my friend let me try since I have always wanted an excuse to try this chain out!

I have been to Nashville and tried Hot Chicken at the source. This is not the same......but....It is good. Its just different. Nashville is a little more saucy, this is on the dryer side of things in terms of sauce, the chicken is still juicy. That being said, it was an excellent chicken sandwich and the fries? oh man, the fries steal the show. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Would I come here again? A thousand times, yes. Is this Nashville hot chicken? Kind of. If you are looking for Nashville inspired Hot Chicken, give this place a try.

First time here! Nice location with parking garage close. Wasn't prepared for the heat but if you like spicy food, this is the place. We got the Fried Chicken Sandwiches with the sauce without spice. It was still on the spicy side though. Prices are a bit high but sides like fries can be shared. Btw, the crinkle cut fries were spicy as well... but good! Overall, the chicken in the sandwiches was large and moist. Much bigger than your usual chicken sandwich. The inside was clean and had a cool theme. Can't say a lot about the service. You order on a computer up front. All in all, I may come back if in the area but the spicy factor isn't for me!

The outside honestly looked like one of those cozy restaurants you'd see in a K-drama with the glowing lights and busy vibe. When we walked in, it was already pretty packed, and more people kept coming in after us, so that's always a good sign lol. The service was also amazing and everyone was really nice. Obviously we had to order the fried chicken, and I loved that all the sauces came on the side so you could dip and try different flavors without the chicken getting soggy. And the biggest surprise for me was the cheesy corn topped with pork. I would have never thought of that combo myself, but it was actually so good. Creamy, savory, cheesy perfection. We went pretty late at night, so parking was easy for us, but I could definitely see it getting hectic during the day since it's in the same plaza as H Mart. So best to double check before going!

That garlic mayo aioli is to die for, soooo much garlic flavor I love it. The chicken was cooked well and was nice and juicy. The honey soy flavor is definitely the way to go. We also got the fish sauce one. We're Vietnamese so I was so excited to try it but it was just wayyyyy too salty. It needs some honey in that sauce because it's so salty and it definitely gives you a fishy breath afterwards so definitely take the mint they give you. What I'm amazed by is the price! It's so affordable and if I were closer I would be here more often or ordering takeout. The chicken comes with the pickled daikon cubes which are great and refreshing. Their pho broth is really good too, we didn't order pho to drink though, just the broth. I wish they had rice on the menu or some sort of rice plate combo because this definitely would've gone great with rice. Overall nice chill place to go for some Korean fried chicken. Theres a bar area where you can watch whatever sports you like. It's also interesting that they converted a corner of the store into warhammer stuff. Service was great, they were very kind and upbeat and got us an extra sauce cup of garlic aioli for our fries since we went through it all haha. Just wish the fish sauce wings were sweeter and not just pure fish sauce. Btw we got bone in chicken, it's juicier and better so I always order bone in and it's great.
