Not worth the money. Nothing about this place stood out. Bird Talk is tucked in the corner of a plaza, and the moment I pulled up, I should've trusted my instincts. The area was dirty, not well maintained, and had people hanging around outside. Walked in, and the place was empty except for the cashier. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't helpful either. A little more customer service would have been nice. I got the Nashville Hot Combo in mild spice. It comes with a side, and I chose fries. Drinks aren't included, which is honestly so annoying. The food came out quick, but it was nothing special. The sandwich was decent, but the fries were bland. I didn't even finish them. On top of that, the food left a bad aftertaste in my mouth, which made the whole experience even worse. Then came the real problem. My stomach started acting up, and I had to stop at the store for Pepto. For context, I DO NOT have a sensitive stomach at all. While I was at the store, my mom called to say she had made it home, only to immediately throw up. If TWO people have bad reactions after eating here, that's all you need to know. The food wasn't good enough to justify the risk, and honestly, I want my money back. I will not be back.

Food has definitely gotten better! The Korean BBQ tenders were soooo good. I loved how hot and fresh it was. The service was quick, and the place was lonely, but clean! Definitely visit and say hey and get some free bird talk stickers.

Great food and even better service. This was my first time eating here, but won't be my last. It is in the cut and hard to find, but a great find nonetheless

We had a night that we just wanted comfort food. Bird talk was what was randomly chosen and it was a definite hit. The Mac and cheese was amazing with the breaded chicken strips. We didn't visit this place as it would have been irresponsible to drive there considering the amount of delicious adult beverages we had consumed do the delivery was the option. The food arrived nice and quick and was even still very hot (had to let it cool a bit to consume it)! Since we didn't visit the location but seriously enjoyed the food I'm sure we will run by the place in the future just to check it out. Totally worth it!!!

Ordered the honey butter combo with coleslaw and bird sauce. The sandwich was good, but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it was going to be because of the honey butter. They did not add a lot of sauce/honey butter on the sandwich. It was still tasty. I really like the coleslaw because it wasn't too wet. That makes any sense lol. More of a vinegar based coleslaw, which was really good to me. Because there was very little honey butter sauce on the sandwich the bird sauce came in clutch. Really enjoyed the taste of it. Not super spicy, just enough. Just use the kiosk to order, service was quick. restaurant was tucked away in a corner, but it was very clean.

Mouthwatering, crispy, and fiery chicken! Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich is 5/5! It's balanced with a touch of sweetness and spicy paste, served with pickles on a bread bun. It doesn't come with cheese so we added a slice of pepper jack and omg GAME CHANGER!!! Their sriracha aioli sauce was so good as well. It paired great with my sandwich. As for the classic sandwich, it was just okay to me. Service was quick and the wait wasn't long. The ambiance was clean and had a relaxed setting. Outdoor seating is always great too

Came back in tonight, it was slow like last time we came in. 2 others were in the dining area with us but left us to ourselves shortly after we sat down. My girlfriend got the Mac and cheese like last time and it hit just as well this time, I decided to switch things up tonight though. I got the Nashville sandwich combo with the loaded tots again, both of which hit well. Only slight complaint is that the button bun of my sandwich was getting pretty soggy, although it didn't seem too greasy. I flipped it upside down and let the fluids flow to the top bun instead a bit. The Kool-Aid is always a good addition! My girl has leftovers to eat for work tomorrow, which I'm sure she's happy about. This place always smacks! Came here since Theos was sadly shut down tonight and we're glad we came back!

The wings are so darn good! The chicken sandwich is a nice portion and so crispy and juicy. Careful with that first bite! I love the crispness of the fries and their ranch dressing. Okay, I love everything! A must try! Dining room is limited seating. Fast friendly service and piping hot food!

You don't need to be as wise as an owl to know that the bird is the word! Even the bird-brained wouldn't be able to pass up the discount for this restaurant by showing a receipt from neighbor Mochi Fresh. The special bird of the day for us were the chicken nuggets. We got an order to go with the house-made honey mustard sauce. Since every item is made to order it was a small wait for the nuggets but it wasn't too bad and it gave us time to admire the cool and hilarious chicken themed art on the walls. The nuggets came with fries and were well packaged in separate paper trays that were then placed in a large Styrofoam box. While the packaging was secure it did make the food a little steamed rather than crispy by the time we got home but it was still a pretty cluckin' good meal. The breading on the chicken was nice, and the chicken looked like it was prepared by hand since there were various sizes to these chicken chunks . The meat itself was tender. I also liked the honey mustard sauce to dip the nuggets in. So if you feel like Cibo Matto in the sense that you got to Know Your Chicken, this is a good option to indulge in your culinary penchant for poultry.

"At Bird Talk Chicken, the chicken speaks for itself." That's the motto of this cool Cali-based fast casual concept. Bird Talk made their debut here in Tempe in 2023 and specializes in Nashville hot chicken. These guys have a menu that features various forms of chicken like chicken tenders, fried chicken, grilled chicken and wings. All types of chicken are on the menu here at Bird Talk. They also have a selection of sauces for your chicken so that you can make things as spicy and flavorful as you want. I came by here one afternoon for lunch. I am all about the sides and they have a number of them to choose from. I ordered the fried pickles and some wings to start things off. Then I ordered The Nashville with some mac and cheese. The sandwich was pretty good, but I thought the mac and cheese was the real highlight. I am a big mac and cheese guy and love it when it is really cheesy and creamy. Nashville Hot Chicken is a big thing these days and these concepts have been popping up all over the Valley. I personally don't mind having several options to choose from. Bird Talk is a solid choice.

Hi The Honey Butter Sandwich Combo .... Was DELICIOUS
    Chris H.

I finally tried this place after hearing so much about it. The location is small but there is enough space to sit and enjoy your delicious chicken sandwich. I walked in and ordered the Honey Butter! WOW! The chicken was juicy and cooked just right! The honey butter sauce was amazing! I was on the fence about trying to Kool-aid! The attendant said Merry Christmas and gave me one, insisting I wouldn't be disappointed... she was right!!! I HIGHLY recommend going to Bird Talk And trying the chicken sandwiches and don't miss out on that red Kool-aid... taste like "Peanut" made it!! IYKYK!!!

Music was a little loud as many people talking loudly to hear but it wasn't too bad - but noticeable! I ordered the Perfect Grilled Cheese and sweet potato fries, which were so good. The bread was like a fruit bread - actually its a spiced pear bread - which is delicious! The wife got the Chicken Club and sweet potato fries, also stating it was one of the nicest sandwiches she has had in a while. We swapped our sandwich halves to get a taste of each and we both rolled our eyes in delight - both were fresh , very tasty and not over-stuffed, making them easier to eat! We will definitely be back as its a close drive to get here.. Love it!

They serve salads, bowls, sandwiches, all-day breakfast, protein shakes, fresh juices, and other healthy, fast-casual eats for dine-in or take-away. My kind of place! This is one of those spots that I'd frequent if I lived nearby (ChopShop, want to open in Northern California?!). I stumbled upon this spot after a little self-guided tour of ASU campus on a sleepy Sunday morning (everyone must have been asleep after the big football game the day before). I'd forgotten about this spot and it was such a happy surprise to find it again and to see that they survived the pandemic and are still thriving. First visit I ordered: -Cheat Day Wrap: scrambled egg, bacon, white cheddar, smashed avocado, tomato, brown rice (I ordered without rice), and turkey or ham (I skipped these too) *DELISH on a whole wheat wrap!!! Full of flavor and super easy to eat. This hearty breakfast sando fueled my active morning of hiking "A" Mountain (Hayden Butte Preserve) the running around the the IronMan course to spectate (30,000+ steps as a spectator!). We couldn't leave town without another trip. I took my guy and we enjoyed a salad, another breakfast wrap, and: -Chicken + Prosciutto Sandwich: grilled chicken, prosciutto, fontina, arugula, fig mostarda, dijon (no dijon for us), on a house bun. If you're in the area, looking for a healthy-ish breakfast, lunch, or snack, definitely check out Original ChopShop. Note: it gets busy at peak meal hours with students and faculty. Order at the kiosks (super easy), grab a number, find a table in their cozy interior or on their large front patio, and your food will be brought to you. Have a question? Just ask - the staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding our choices. And I love that they allow modifications to most menu items! We'll be back!!!

Now listen... the spot itself is cute. Once we actually got service, our waiter was cool. It just took forevvverrrrr & I ended up having to request cutlery after food was served. To be fair, it was busy, but there also seemed to be plenty of wait staff, so I'm not exactly sure where the disconnect was. Food-wise: the spinach artichoke dip was definitely the table favorite. My caprese panini was ok, it was sadly lacking pesto which feels a little criminal for a caprese situation. Our friends loved the fancy French toast & I was absolutely there for the prickly pear mimosas The entire brunch honestly felt like it was one dropped plate away from becoming a sitcom episode. One poor new waiter dropped a plate on the floor, then later knocked glasses off the rack above the bar & shattered a couple right next to guests sitting there. I genuinely felt bad for him because you could tell he was having a rough shift. That said, I really appreciated that they acknowledged the long wait & gave us a discount without us having to ask.
