Seasonal dessert - Cherry cake pop (I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of it and will gladly post a correction!) Seasonal Dessert

We ate at Montage our last night in Cedar Falls and it was worth the wait! If the weather is nice, dine outside on the rooftop. You can over look part of Main Street while the sun sets and the strings of Edison lightbulbs pop on around the tables. The service is *top notch*, and the same can be said of the cocktails, food, and desserts. The ingredients are fresh across the board, expertly prepared and elegantly plated. Great vegetarian options, family friendly but also great for date night.

Well this has to be our 5th or 10th year here for the annual Heartland Conference. As usual Montage Crew you knocked it out of the park. Our server and food were impressive as usual. If I lived here I would dine here regularly. Thank you Montage team...

Hello Montage is avery nice place downtown Cedar Falls, IA. If you have not been downtown you should! All kinds of cute and trendy places, with a mix of college bars!! Montage has just about anything you want. I had a Spicy Tuna tartar for an appetizer. Yummy. And did the Pork Chop for dinner. All was very good, but just disappointed in the chops seasonings! I felt it lacked. It could be just me, as i like bold seasonings with my pork! Service was great and my vodka tonic as well. Go check it out! I will be back to try more!! I do want to give them 5 stars!

This was my first time here and it will definitely not be the last. The atmosphere was quite nice with modern decorations and slightly dimmed lighting. The noise level was low and it was very easy to carry on a conversation. The food was outstanding, from the ahi tuna appetizers to the seafood main dish to the s'mores dessert, there was nothing not to like. Our server was prompt and attentive and the overall experience is positive. I would absolutely 100% recommend.

The food was good until I got a hair on it. The waitress did not think any of it. Did not even apologize.

After experiencing fine dining through living on the West Coast and traveling internationally, I…read morewas excited to learn that the town I grew up in had a restaurant that offered a tasting menu. I knew I had to try it on a recent visit back home. My experience was mixed. The excellent: our table service was next level with each dish being thoroughly explained. We were educated on the thought process behind each wine pairing as well. Between each course our table was cleaned and we were presented with fresh silverware. The great: the food was presented beautifully and our meal looked incredibly impressive. The interior definitely invoked the Brooklyn vibes that inspired the restaurant in the first place. It feels very upscale hipster. The disappointing: though the overall experience was tasty and texturally perfect, each dish we tried had some overpowering element and flavors were not balanced. After the tuna crudo all I could taste was celery, after the morel mushroom pasta all I could taste were the pungent chive blossoms, and the trout skin/asparagus were over-grilled and I felt like I was eating a well prepared charcoal briquette. Maybe I'll give this place another try next time I'm in town and hope the flavors make as much sense as the rest of the experience.

However, I was surprised on one dish for missing the mark this round unfortunately. For only being here once though and they change up their menu seasonal, I'm hopeful their 'too salty' dishes are few and far between. The service was good as they were knowledgeable on menu items. The ambiance was moody. They also have a wonderful bar area with a large upscale selection of drinks. Bathrooms were nice and it's great to view the kitchen working away in the back area. Now for more food details. The group had the 5 course offering. Highly recommend the steak tartar as it was the groups favorite - "the Midwest's poke bowl" . The least favorite was the scallop dish as it was way too salty it overpowered the flavor profile and was bitter. The agnolotti pasta, pork belly, and banana assortment dessert were delectable.

We were in no hurry so we decided to take our chances at a sit down restaurant on a Friday night…read moreduring the pandemic. I didn't really expect great service. What a wonderful surprise! The place was packed and the servers were very busy. We got seated right away and our drink orders were taken. We couldn't decide what we wanted so we asked the server's advice. We ended up getting the bake Mostaccioli. It was delicious! Leo was running around checking on everyone. He seemed to know nearly everyone. When he stopped by our table I mentioned that I used to live in Oelwein. We discovered that we had mutual friends. I told him that I had learned to make meatballs from them. He came back a few minutes later with a couple of meatballs for us to taste. We admitted that his meatballs were better than mine. He also brought us a sample of sausage. I felt like we were family! It was a wonderful evening with awesome food that was honestly the best I've ever tasted in a restaurant. I would absolutely recommend Leo's to anyone who likes authentic Italian cuisine! Because of the deluge of people in town, menu was taken out only and was choice of lasagna and a calzone type sandwich. They ran out of the lasagna just before we got to front so friend ordered food while I secured a cool spot to sit upstairs in bar. ALL of the staff were incredible and friendly. Bartenders were awesome and we put them to task. Several rounds. The "pizone", aka calzone was very good, fresh baked bread loaf with sauce, meat and cheese baked into it.
