The Chopped sandwich on the inside has really small nicely minced beef, onions, is overall cheesy. On the outside, the bread had sesame seeds and was overall soft. I think I would have preferred it was toasted and crunchier to balance out how soft it was on the inside. It was about $14 but after tax, it was closer to $16. I found it to be a bit pricey for the portion size after the final price.

Food: 3.3 Service: 3.2…read moreAmbiance: 3.5 Value: 3 I traveled in to Manhattan from Brooklyn on a Friday at 11am specifically to get a cheesesteak. Fedoroff's is great but pricey, and I remembered Olde City wasn't bad the last time I had it years ago, so I trekked in. Mistake. I should have stayed home. Garlic Parm wings were big and well-sauced, but when I bit in I found they were a bit drier than other wings I've had. And $19 for a plate of wings seems high. Italian fries were the same story - seasoned well, but tough. Nothing like the great ones at Yankee Stadium. When I get tough food I always wonder if they served me reheated leftovers from yesterday. For the cheesesteak, I ordered the "Authentic" which is supposed to come with your choice of cheese (Whiz/American/Provolone/Cooper Sharp/Ghost pepper jack); but I absentmindedly forgot to specify my choice and the server didn't ask me. It was only when the food came and I saw the Whiz when I realized. I would have appreciated a prompt so that I could have gotten Cooper Sharp. It was his first day so maybe he didn't know better. There was another server behind the bar who he was training under. I will give the servers props for giving me the combo price without me asking for it ($18 for cheesesteak, fries, and soda/water). But overall, stuff could have been better. The place was dead. I was one of three people in there but still felt ignored. There's a lot of TVs and a lot of beer options so I can see it being a good place to drink and watch a game. But the food is just ok. Very different than what I remembered.

One of the biggest elements I like about my pizza is the crispy bottom. Mama delivers this consistently between their thicker slices and thin ones as well. Pizzas were topped with fresh cheese. House slice is a must. Based on what I have seen, it's best to call in and pre-order a whole pie. This will cut down the wait time and hassle. I've seen several people come in to pick up and share the entire box outside. Had I had more peeps with me, we would have executed this play. Inside, your only chance for a table is by the wall. Everyone else is queued for food. Enough reading.. go get a slice and never look back. Can't wait to visit them again.

When I walked in, there appeared to be a huge line, apparently, these are all the people who have already ordered, but it seems like it is the line. When the cashier mentioned that if you have not ordered yet, please step up, I then realized there was no line to order. 25-30 people waiting for slices, but no one in line to order? Seems like they need to work on the process a bit. Why aren't hot fresh slices coming right out of the oven and right onto plates or boxes and into the customer's hands? The staff had to keep telling people to pack it in near the pick up counter, so this is obviously an issue. Anyway, I also did not like that there were no prices on the slices on the counter. I've never bought something with no price listed and remarked on how inexpensive it was. How much were the slices, I don't even remember and there are no pics of menus anywhere b/c they don't have one and prices are not listed on the counter. I was asked if I wanted pesto on my pizza, I figured it wasn't free and it is a bit tricky to ask that without any mention of the price, so I declined. Again, who knows how much this would have cost, and I didn't want to be a first timer there asking a ton of questions. I think my two slices were around $7 each, sort of on the steep side. There is a bathroom. There are some tables where you can eat your slices if it isn't too busy and you get lucky. If I come here again, I'd like to try the cacio pepe. I should have been the CPO.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!

I arrived at 2pm on a weekday and the guy was doing a deep clean while I ate my sandwich. Love this. I got The Emma - no clue how they arrived at this name. While I was there - a food blogger came in and shot a video. This place is no secret. My only "issue" is that the food is expensive. I TOTALLY get they are using high end ingredients - organics - locally sourced - etc. those items are not cheap. But my sandwich was normal sized - no pickle or any add on item - and I ate in but was not offered a plate or a fork. It's a deli. But for $20+, I can't eat here every day or even multiple times a week. Like NYC, it ain't for everyone and it ain't cheap. But I'll be back!

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

I've had Danny & Coop's bookmarked for a while, and when I finally visited, the place was bustling. Despite the tight space, the experience is absolutely worth it. When I arrived, there was no line, so I ordered quickly. They sent me a text when my order was ready, which took about fifteen minutes. The cheesesteak was outstanding. At first glance, I thought the bread might be hard, but it was perfectly soft and, without doubt, the ideal bread for a cheesesteak. The seeds added an earthy, nutty flavor. The beef had a deep, rich flavor, emphasizing high-quality ingredients. The rib-eye meat was exceptional, and although the Cooper Sharp cheese and bread were excellent, the rib-eye truly stole the show. The cheese was flavorful but not overpowering. The onions added great texture, and the sweet peppers brought a pleasant acidity that enhanced every bite. The sandwich costs twenty-five dollars but is definitely shareable. Though I haven't tried many cheesesteaks in New York, this is the best I've ever had. Customer service was excellent, and the cheesesteak was simply outstanding.
