5 stars from a guy who doesn't give them lightly and no doubts about giving them in this review. The last time I was here, there was no Yelp and like the last time I ate here, the quality has not changed. Class and perfection in an upstate locale that you would never expect! Although outside is looking a little rough around the edges, Brunetto's will not disappoint! Oysters, muscles, a rack of lamb, Osso Bucco, and all done just right, at a price, half of what you would pay 50 miles south. A not miss in the North Country!

I always enjoy coming to Brunetto's on special occasions. Keep a close eye on their menu as well as their open hours, which fluctuate regularly. Always make a reservation, often times if you show up without one, they're booked for the night. The food is really fantastic for the most part, though not everything on the menu deserves that praise. The environment, is warm and inviting, adding to the overall experience. The mussels as a starter are a must have, and as for your entree, place attention to the dishes that are most recommended by others. I had the Fresh Broiled Sea Scallops, which were light and buttery. I highly recommend giving them a try!

We went there at 6:30 on a Friday ordered a glass of wine each, the waitress brought then within 1 minute and almost apologized for the delay. We both had a garden salad(huge) and PEI mussels. We should have gotten one order for the two of us, but didn't know how many were in the order. There were more than 90 mussels in each order thus a lot were taken home. All I say is "it was great"

When I first started dating my bf, he claimed that this was the best restaurant he's ever been to and snobbishly compared everywhere we ate with Brunetto's. It wasn't until I went there for the first time for his birthday two years ago that I understood the love, haha! It's definitely a special occasion restaurant with prices between 20-40 depending what you get. Every meal that I have ordered has been delicious, and come in really big portions, so you do feel like you're getting a lot for your money. Last night we went there to take my bf's grandma out. We all ordered wine. She got a Sauvignon Blanc on special, the bf a very woodsy Cabernet, and for me a Zinfandel. Very good. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but our waitress let me taste a sample before pouring me a glass. Very good service throughout the night. The bf and her love the mussels and we all love the baked artichoke hearts. I forgot to take the picture of the full bowl of mussels, but you can see below how big it is! It's $14 and comes with soooo many mussels! They come in a delicious garlicky broth and some hot bread to sop it up. Beware...there is serious garlic so be prepared! But so good. The artichoke hearts are deliciously cheesy, fresh, and baked till golden brown. (These were also eaten too fast before a pic could be taken! Lol!) I've ordered salmon and steak here..last time I got a New York strip steak with a basil pesto sauce, and the bf has ordered roast duck with warm raspberry sauce, venison, and the game sampler. His grandma likes the roast leg of lamb. Last night, she ordered the chicken schnitzel which was very tender, and it came with red cabbage, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The bf got the pork shank osco bucco with raspberry sauce poured all over it. Literally fall off the bone tender, and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with a Cabernet Demi reduction and a red pepper coulis sauce, which definitely had Indian spice influence. The beef was so tender (cooked medium rare to perfection) and a rather large piece! Also served with buttery golden mashed potatoes and garlicky green beans. I think it's the best piece of steak I've had. We finished our meal with coffee and tea. The owner has reportedly had Brunetto's for sale for quite a while and I sincerely hope last night was not the last time we will ever get to go there! So make the drive up north and treat yourself to a very special place!

Duck with a side of the pickled cabbage. Amazing!

Came in last night for dinner and had an amazing time all around. They will allow you to all ahead for tables of 6 or more so we did that and were seated within 15 minutes of arriving. It was about 8pm and they had run out of tuna and only had 2 orders of mussels left so we quickly ordered those before they ran out. The mussels are a must! They are a huge serving enough for all 6 of us to have! I then had the duck and asked for the pickled cabbage as a side. So good! The outside was crispy and the inside was moist. Also the jam they serve with it is to die for! The chef is gluten free so they were very knowledgeable and able to serve most of the menu for people with dietary restrictions!

Our favorite place to eat. No masking the food here, just true flavor and always consistent.

Visiting Lake George for an overnite, my wife and I chose Charlie's for their menu selections and…read morereasonable pricing. We were pleasantly surprised with both the high food quality and friendly, efficient service. Seated outside at a comfortable table we shared an excellent crab cake with our cocktails. The 'Lake George Punch', was very nice. Our server, Jack, was on his game & could give lessons on on unobtrusive high quality table service with a smile and some pleasant conversation. The pulled chicken tacos and crab stuffed haddock were both excellent! Flavor, texture, doneness all top notch. We were caught up in the details of sauces, rice, and wonderful harcort verts (can't just call them a side of green beans). Unexpected in a hotel restaurant in a touristy area. All in all, with the July evening breeze blowing off the lake, a slice of lake view, and the bustling fellow visitors putting on a show just for us.... It was a very nice experience.

However, food came out very slow. Nachos were good and we enjoyed most of our entrees. Someone else had the rib eye which we would absolutely not recommend. Upon further review, we all felt that the food was a bit salty, but worked in a pinch when we were hungry. Overall, just okay.
