Loved the charm and vibe. Very relaxing. We sat out front and the weather was perfect for it. We were dining late after the races, but they seated us. We each ordered french onion soup which was very good. my husband had a salad with grilled chicken and I had the Coquille St. Jacques. both of our entrees were okay. But it's what we chose. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had the coconut cream pie for dessert and that was Amazing. Best I've ever had. We would come back when in the area and just order differently.

It takes a notable dining experience for me to award a restaurant five stars, and Morgan & Co. checked off all the boxes. Since we live on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs, we tend to make our restaurant selections from the vast number of options within a short drive from us. Morgan & Company was highly recommended by a few friends, and we were game for a new place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Bam! Love that it's situated in an old (1890s) house that had been built by the Morgans who owned a lumber yard. The flow from outside spaces and bar to the intimate rooms inside welcomed guests. The place was packed even on a Thursday night so I must emphasize that you need to make a reservation here (as I did). We were seated at a table for two by the window facing the street. Perfect! Nowadays, many establishments have cut back on their offerings. On the contrary, Morgan & Co.'s menu was extraordinary. My husband and I had a really hard time making our selections. In the end, we both were attracted to the Escargots in Mushroom Caps (delicious) for starters. (It would have been nice if the bread had been warm, just sayin'.) For our entrees, my spouse selected the Brisket Bowl which he thoroughly enjoyed. He never picks something of this ilk when dining out but he really liked it. I chose the Swordfish Oscar which was exceptional. Nicely grilled with just the right amount of sauce (not smothered). Would have liked to see a bit more crab for the high price point, but ... Our server, Erin, was a true hospitality professional. Her warm smile, friendly demeanor and attention to us added to a delightful experience at this restaurant. She is a true asset! There is off-street parking and you can also easily find street parking here which is always a consideration for us. One thing you should be aware of is that the place is loud when full. I had been alerted to this one negative by my friends. When we first arrived, most of the tables were occupied and, as such, the noise level was a bit uncomfortable - we found ourselves raising our voices between us when communicating across our small table. To remedy this problem, as someone who worked in the hospitality industry my entire career, I would recommend the additional of soft goods on the walls to muffle the sound. Despite the 30-minute drive, we have placed Morgan & Co. high on our list of restaurants we love and look forward to returning.

Awesome bartender at the outside bar... the menu is amazing and definitely date night place The oysters are blue points , little bigger than we like but still delicious. The stuffed clams are great.

We always enjoy dinner at Morgan & Co. when in the area. Our server Tammy was very friendly and personable. The Moroccan Grill with shrimp, lamb, chicken, harrissa and couscous was excellent! Nice sitting on their huge front porch.

Delicious Company to Keep! A Rare Find with stellar service, gourmet food quality and flavor, and ambiance all in one package. Top 1% rating for me. Had the Moroccan Cigars to start, tender minced lamb spring rolls with delicious harissa. Moroccan Mixed Grill for the main was in a word OUTSTANDING! Having lived in New Orleans for a decade, the bar on shrimp is really high and these were perfect! Three shrimp, a lamb tenderloin chop and a generous chicken kabob delivered diverse and refreshing flavors. No boredom here! The couscous was really light and fluffy, with perfectly seasoned veggies. On top of all this you get a coconut curry broth for dipping. Wife had the Maple Glazed Salmon with a large portion of fresh fish topped with a crunchy light maple crumble, along with french green beans and delicious creamed parsnips. The Maple Bread Pudding was HUGE and should come with a Surgeon General warning about the risk of compulsive addiction, it's just that good!

Place was cute, sat outside where they had live music on a Friday night which was nice. Ambiance was nice and relaxing! Since we were outside didn't see inside all that much but when I used the bathroom it looked cute! Staff was friendly and all wore masks. I had the she crab soup (SOO GOOD), coconut shrimp, hummus platter for apps for the table which was all good! The shrimp was a bit spicy which was great! I shared the swordfish with my friend which had lentils and green beans but the fish wasn't great which was a bummer because I love swordfish. My friend had chicken meatballs which he raves about and my husband had the pork chops which he raved about too. Apps were good but the swordfish dish was bland unfortunately. Giving it 4 stars because everything was good except my fish for the entree, maybe will try something else when I come back when in town.

Ask the Community - Morgan & Co. Restaurant

I have quite a few food intolerances (gluten, dairy, soy, beef, chicken, nightshades, nuts, and more). Will I be able to find anything to eat here?

I'd say it might be tough, unfortunately. It's a great place but I didn't find that their menu was catering to any particular food sensitivities.

A fairly short drive brought me to this little seafood shack; it is located in what seemed to be a kind of out of the way neighborhood. From the outside it looks charming, just a nice New England hang out; inside is even better with 2 compact dining rooms decorated with a nautical theme and a metal roof. When I arrived at about 6 on a Friday night the place was almost full with a couple of larger parties enjoying themselves. The menu is great for me since it is almost exclusively fish and seafood, with a good selection of preparations; even better there was another page of specials that are a bit more upscale. Since I was hungry and just wanted to keep it simple I choose the all you can eat fish fry off the menu. Considering how busy the restaurant was my meal came out in about 10 minutes. A nice basket with 4 fish fillets, fries and coleslaw. The highlight was clearly the fish with perfectly cooked moist white fish in a great batter with just enough spices to perk the fish up. The fish was so good that I actually finished the 4 fillets and then got 2 more. The fries were very thin cut and crispy. The coleslaw is what you would expect, good but nothing special. I was very impressed with Adirondack Seafood, the fish was excellent and the sides were good. The price was reasonable and the portions were generous. Service was good and the atmosphere is charming and fun. I would strongly recommend giving them a try. About the only downside is that outside of fish and seafood there are not a lot of choices; not an issue for a pescetarian like me but could be an issue for those who are serious carnivores.

I'm more attracted to non-fried food so the Grilled Haddock was right up my alley. This time I had that with the side order of baked beans and macaroni salad. Again I was not disappointed. My wife gave me the thumbs up on her food also. So I guess I did good. I read the review about the cleanliness. Let me say this, this place is clean. I'm sure they have food inspectors that come in and if it was not able to pass, it would not be open. On the other review which they gave one star, I don't know when this individual called in an order but must understand that you only have a certain amount of people working, trying to please their customers so you have to give them a break. Obviously they don't want to lose customers. If it is a certain time when people are calling in phone orders and coming inside for take out, things happen. Nobody is perfect unless you walk on water. I have been telling a lot of people about this place. Thank God I'm retired and can go there anytime I want. Now I don't have to make seafood at home anymore. The only thing I'll continue making at home is the baked Salmon. Going two days in a row, I guess I'm trying to make up lost time since he has opened up. I'm good with that for sure!

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.
