Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. The owner refused to listen to what I was trying to explain and immediately started cutting into irrigation lines without discussing pricing, troubleshooting strategy, or even what he believed the problem might be. Instead, I got long "war stories" about other lawns he had worked on, which did nothing to address my issue. In the end, he never actually found the problem. Instead, he capped off piping and rigged the system so water flowed through all the sprinklers, but with significantly reduced pressure and coverage compared to before. When I pointed this out, he ignored my concerns and told me to go buy different sprinkler heads because that "should" fix the coverage problem. I would expect a professional irrigation contractor to properly diagnose and solve the issue himself. He also replaced the top portion of my solenoid valve with a larger setup that now prevents my valve box door from closing. After I contacted him about this, he promised he would come back and correct it. To date, I have heard nothing. The cleanup and restoration were also sloppy. Soil around the sprinklers was carelessly replaced, and the entire job felt rushed and unprofessional. I honestly regret paying for the service. I do want to say that his assistant was respectful of my property and professional throughout the visit. I only wish the assistant had been the one leading the job instead of the owner. At one point the owner mentioned that he installs artificial grass as well. Based on my experience with this irrigation repair, I personally would not trust him with any landscaping project.

He came quickly for our first estimate for landscaping, and the value was great. His pricing was fair. Him and his crew worked quickly to get the landscaping work done in our backyard - clearing weeds, removing a large guava tree and smaller fruit tree, trimming trees, and cutting ice plants. I was so happy with their work I asked if they could clean our palm trees. The price again was great and they did it in a few hours. After that, I worked with him to get concrete laid in our backyard. The price for concrete was very reasonable. Him and his crew worked efficiently but with quality to get the concrete in our backyard. The whole concrete process took 3 days and I couldn't be happier with the final product. I also had some side projects they completed during their time here - removing a metal shed and replacing a patio cover. Manuel was always great communicating with me and his work was excellent. I would highly recommend using Manual for your landscaping projects and will be using him in the future!

They said all the valves were working. I pointed out that one valve was leaking, and at that point I was told that they would have to replace it as they did not work on Irritrol valves. Zac did not tell me when he came out to look at the job and schedule the work that they would not rebuild irritrol valves. (you can rebuild irritrol valves, and I did, but i guess he doesn't want to stock so many parts) I paid, then a few days later figured out the new controller box and found 4 of the 10 valves were faulting, and not coming on. I called smartscape and left a message that not all the valves were working. two weeks later still waiting on a call back. Very disappointing.
