Car was ready when they said, the work done was way more than we could have hoped for, they left it brand new they even buffed out and fixed some spots on the bumper that weren't part of the accident! The first estimate was that we would get our car back in two weeks. Then after that, it became every 3-5 days, with some times where they would never respond back. We finally got our car back about 6 weeks later with more problems. The fuse box was falling off and the man told me, "There's documentation that shows it was like that when it came in." I was floored...I didn't sign off on any documentation. The suggestion from the staff was to tape the cover back up with double sided tape. The rear window wiper was installed upside down (the wiper was cleaning the license plate instead of the window), the gear shifter was very sticky, and there was a part missing from the gear box. All damages were cosmetic on the rear end, so we're not sure what they were doing in the gear box to begin with. We asked them to replace the plug and after multiple times of inquiring when it would come in, we ended up just giving up. The guys who work here are really nice. They had our car for a long time and fixed a dent for us for free, but in this case I would have preferred professional competence over "really nice". It seems like they're more geared towards auto detail instead of auto collision.

Buyer Beware - My Experience with Kenwood in Frederick (Tesla Model Y Repair)…read more I had my Tesla Model Y repaired by Kenwood in Frederick after the liftgate was replaced, and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the repair. After getting the vehicle back, I immediately noticed large panel gaps and poor alignment around the newly installed liftgate. The gaps are clearly visible in the attached photos. I also had the vehicle looked at by Tesla and another Tesla-certified collision center, and both indicated that the alignment is not within expectations. When I brought my concerns to Matt at Kenwood, he initially told me he didn't see any problem with the gaps. Later, he said he would speak with the shop director. Shortly afterward, I received a text stating that the director had declined to perform any additional repairs and that I would need to handle the issue on my own. I find this response completely unacceptable, especially after paying for what should have been a proper repair. As a customer, I expected the vehicle to be restored to factory-quality fit and finish, not returned with obvious alignment issues. I am currently exploring my legal options regarding this matter. If anyone else has had similar experiences with Kenwood in Frederick, particularly involving Tesla repairs or bodywork quality, I'd appreciate hearing from you. We asked for a shorter time since it was my daughter's spring break. At first they said it was ok but then they changed their mind. They insisted on a minimum of three weeks. I think that they run a racket on the tesla loaners and charge the insurance with luxury rentals. Their main focus was to secure as much money they could procure for themselves ignoring all the requests of the customers. In total they took around $12,000 for a repair of less than $2000 for an average paint shop. (they tell everyone a minimum of three weeks!)

Dealing with the two gentleman Randy and Dave who run the shop was very pleasant. They were friendly guys that gave me what I felt were honest opinions. My first situation retrieving my car after repairs was a positive one. I was very happy with the work done to repair a bumper. When I made them aware they they did not buff a headlight, they asked that I come right over, and they fixed it while I waited, apologizing for what was an honest mistake overlooking it (hard to see in the sunlight). Customer service was terrific when I had questions about my A/C, and attention/advice was given just as a courtesy. At another time, when my vehicle turned out to be a total loss, they were very accomodating providing me the time I needed to come by and take care of the various things needed. My hope is I do not need to use them again (it would mean damage to my car, right?), but I do say I can recommend them.

It made sense, so we moved ahead. The insurance quote came in lower, and they assured me this was normal, that they would manage it, and that I wouldn't be paying more out of pocket. And they were right! They had to go back to the company 2 times but they got it resolved. AND they gave me my car back, with my sale completed, before they had finished getting final payment/paperwork from the insurance company. Did I mention that the workmanship is fantastic? You can't even see that there was any repair! If anything happens in the future, they already have my business. And they have yours too. Quality at a reasonable price; honesty you can count on.

He put on his hazards and started directing traffic. He asked if I had arranged for a towing service. I told him I hadn't yet. He told me that they didn't use AAA and told me what the amount would be for a tow. He also told me that he could get a truck there in 10 minutes. The price was reasonable and he was already providing great service without me being a customer. I'm thankful that Airpark Towing was in the area. I highly recommend.
