Due to a series of unfortunate events, I had to use these guys on three separate occasions in the last couple months under three different insurances. They're like my BFFs now. For a repair that did a beautiful job, detailed the car before they giving it back and seemed really happy to be doing their job. One time I had to pick up a car late on a Friday and the music was cranked up and everyone in the Body Shop was dancing one day we're cleaning up. That's kind of energy. I went here to get body work after someone ran into me about a year ago. The work was good but they left a sticky black film on my car that is still there a year later which is unacceptable. They had my car for almost two weeks and I picked it up after night shift. I was too tired to say anything and I thought it would just come off easily but that's not the case. They are a preferred provider by USAA. While they seem a bit expensive, my car was hit twice, so in both cases, the other driver"s insurance had to pay. Both times they did a wonderful job. I have also posted about how great they were on my Facebook page. I can't tell the difference from before either accident! In this instance, they really were the only light at the end of the tunnel. Sadly, my first visit was too good to be true. I will probably not be going back. I confirmed that on my scheduled date that they would start on it immediately. This was under insurance but we didn't have a rental as we had another vehicle. At the time, I was told it would be about a week or so for the repairs as it wasn't a huge job. At the end of 7 days I called to get a status and was told they were behind schedule. I told them no problem as I understand. Another week went by and I hadn't heard anything and checked and was told the same thing and that they were getting ready to start on it. Now I was irritated as we didn't have to be sharing a car for two weeks. Why make an appointment? At the end of the third week I checked and was told that it was almost ready to go into paint. Now I was pissed and mentioned this to a friend who owns a body shop quite a ways away. He told me that when it is an insurance thing, they have to get the jobs done quickly for those with rentals. Since mine didn't have a rental, it wouldn't affect their numbers with the insurance company so they could easily keep bumping me. I called after 4 weeks and was told they were close and it would be done at the end of the following week. I got mad and told them we were going out of town the following Wednesday and needed the car. They told me that they would do their best. I did get the car Wednesday and noticed the paint matched but didn't look great. Mind you this car was almost brand new. I was told it needed to be buffed out and to bring it back. I got it home, took our trip and when I got back, we noticed they missed a dent on the trunk lid as well. I decided I wasn't taking it back as we now are a one car family as I work from home and cannot wait a month for this shop to try and fix it. Very sad as I was hopeful we finally found a good shop. read more

The General Manager of all the branches & director of Out Of Pocket repairs are worthless assholes. Had my car there for two weeks. It wasn't perfect when I saw it. The painter does good work but is extremely sloppy. There was orange peel everywhere & overspray on my top C- pillar & right rear passenger door. The overspray got worse as it spread to my trunk. Bringing up the flaws to the director was like pulling teeth. He was rude, dismissive & would interrupt me, like me speaking on the terrible job I see in front of me got on his nerves. The painter had the same repugnant disrespectfull attitude, just like the blowhard joke of the body shop manager. All of their passive aggressive demenaors, constant gaslighting & manipulative speak they were doing to spin my words around was insufferable & unprofessional. Talking to such horrible people who present themselves in a repulsive manner, especially after spending a lot of money will make anyone sick to their fucking stomach. The quality has gone down & this body shop has lowered itself to a pathetic joke. I wouldn't even bring a salvaged titled car to this egregious place. The only thing great are the kind receptionist at the front desk. Go elsewhere. The high amounts of unprofessional idiotic stupidity will raise your blood pressure. read more

I highly recommend Kenwood auto body shop. I had an accident a few weeks ago or somebody clipped my driver's side mirror. Car insurance deductible is $250 through USAA, but the gentleman that helped me out his name is Denny went out of his way and took the time to find me a used mirror for my 2003 Honda Accord coupe EX that was under the deductible and was reasonable for out-of-pocket. I was very impressed so much. Unfortunately I got into another accident two weeks later. I told USAA that I wanted to take my car back to Kenwood auto body shop they cut me a check and hopefully this week I will be returning the vehicle for some much-needed repairs. And gave me a very reasonable estimate of the cost of repairs. read more

This was my second experience working with Kenwood so I knew the job would be done right. supply chain issues were becoming a real nail biter but Kevin, the manager, kept me frequently updated and was reassuring and friendly. I was a customer at In and Out Auto body for over 15 years. They not only did great work, but they were easy to deal with. When Kenwood took over, I stayed with them and have had two repairs done. i have no issue with the work done, it looked great. My issue is the customer service failings. i recently had a repair done and some work that we had planned was not done. In addition, a change was made to the original estimate and this work cost approx. 30% more than the estimate. They called me after the fact to let me know that this work was done. When I pointed out the work that wasn't done, they offered an "employee discount" which was essentially $60 off an inflated bill. In addition, I had already left my car there 4 days for a 2 day job and would have to leave it there again. I will not return to Kenwood. They had a chance to correct their errors and failed. I paid out of pocket for this repair so the cost matters. Most of their customers go through insurance so these issues don't matter. However, given the opportunity to act reputably and own up to their mistakes, they failed. read more

They had the car for two and half weeks with an appointment, when I got it back only half the damages were fixed. It was so weird. Then their customer service tried to claim either my husband or I had told them not to fix the whole car. This was untrue and such a bizarre thing to claim. I've used these guys for a while but they majorly messed up this time. I brought my tesla model x to get hood and bumper repainted-- simple enough. Well the guy washing it used some kind of brush that scratched the whole thing up. I took it to (Tier 1 auto detailers-- fantastic place btw) to get it looking like it should after a new paint job but Sam the manager only offered my 1/4 the amount to get it fixed as a refund. I even offered to go half and half because I wanted it done right. He was stubborn and basically told me to "have a nice" day, if you know what i mean--Never using them again. As a business owner myself I always take responsibility when I mess up. This was unacceptable. read more

First went to the body shop around the corner from Kenwood that was one of the top-rated shops on Yelp and received an unreasonable estimate. Went to Kenwood a few minutes later and got an estimate that was less than 1/2 of the other estimate (although the prior estimate was kind of ridiculous). William kept me apprised throughout the process and I got the car back in immaculate condition inside and out. My car seriously looks so much better than what I thought possible based on the price, and was spotless inside and out. Kudos to the shop, especially William and his team!!! read more

I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Mike. The entire staff was friendly and professional. They really know what they're doing there. I put the car in for repair and 5 days later the car was completed, one day longer than the estimate. This is a family run business that has been in the area for a while and my insurance company recommended them. The work is good, one inch scratch I didn't catch and they were quick to offer to fix it. I never saw it, a friend actually had to get down and closely inspect it. Kenwood is one block from a car rental business, which is a huge saving on my time and energy. The Kenwood office also handled every bit of the insurance paperwork, from beginning to end. I am more than happy to have this company as a favorite of mine. I will definitely use them again if the need arises. read more

I had two great experiences with Kenwood Auto Body... First, I had a fender bender and broken side view mirror and needed car in four days for a trip that required pulling a trailer. They were flexible with my schedule, ordered parts and 2 days later installed the side view miror within 10 minutes of arrival. I returned a week later and they replaced the bumper within 2 days. My second experience with Kenwood, my passanger side window regulator needed replacing. The local Lincoln dealership told me they couldn't schedule me for 2 weeks! So I called Arick (who has excellent customer service). He told me he would order the part and call me when it came in. He called me the next morning and scheduled me to come in that afternoon. My window was fixed in just over an hour upon arriving! Two weeks sooner than dealer could see me and saved me $200 based on what dealer told me. I will recommend anyone that needs body work done to Kenwood. They do good work and Julie who works the front desk is kind and friendly and Arick provides wonderful service! read more

Work was don on a 2010 Chevy Malibu LT2 I have dealt with this shop on two occasions. They were recommended by State Farm and they were close to my house. The first visit was to correct damage due to a front end collision. The driver side fender needed repair and painting as well as the headlight. The second was damage to underside of vehicle and rim damage. Several plastic shields had to be replaced. The theme with this shop is sloppy work. On both repairs I rejected them and made them address further issues. This shop is sloppy and does not want to take responsibility for the work that they do. Do not be fooled by all the the awards they have on the wall. For the first visit I had to return the vehicle due to sloppy paint work, over spray, and dimpling on the finished surface. For the second repair I rejected because they did not replace damaged shields on the underside of the vehicle after stating that they would. They also painted parts that were not supposed to be painted. To the credit of the shop they did address the sloppy work by taking the car back thus having me to rent a car again. It was a waste of time that they could not get the work done correctly the first time. On the last repair while cleaning the car getting it ready for pickup they loosened my windshield wipers. While driving one of them flew off the car in the rain causing me to pull off the road and further damage and scrape the bumper that they had just repaired. The shop took the position that it was my fault and wanted to take no responsibility for their careless work. Eric in particular said I was trying to blackmail the shop and called me a liar. Listen there are many shops in the area. Some good and some not. Choose carefully. This shop will get the job done......eventually. It will be guaranteed sloppy and not done with the care that your insurance company and you pay for. If your insurance company recommends Kenwood keep looking. My next shop will have to clean the parts that they painted that the factory does not paint. read more

Had decent service previously, some work had to be redone. Today I brought my car in with a loud grinding from the front wheel. They did not drive the car to hear the sound. They only seemed interested in whether it was warranty work. I politely explained that it was fine if it was not covered and that I was not complaining. This seemed to anger the foreman who pointedly said "We are not a diagnostic shop!" I left not knowing what was wrong with my car and feeling poorly treated as a customer. read more

Did great job on a majorly damaged car. Hit a deer (or the deer hit me) and had nearly $5,000 worth of damage to the front right part of the car. Car was deemed undriveable because headlights were broken and hood was bent and rain could come in. After they fixed it you can't even tell the car was ever in an accident and they guarantee to repair any problems for as long as you own the car. They even finished a day earlier because I needed to use the car for an out-of-state meeting. Great job and super professional read more

I too k my car back today at afternoon because the car was fixed and there was a huge noise at the front of the car each time I backed up or turn rigth in a curve. I never had this noise before even when I left the car there to be fixed. When I arrived at kenwood the person that came out to ask me what the problem was I told him that by the day I picked up the car the noise in the brakes at the righ front of the car and the ABS light was on and I could not turn it off. He looked at the car and with out telling me what he was gonna do he opened the driver seat and before he took of with my car I asked him are u gonna drive the car? He ignored me. Then I quickly Oppened the passenger door to get my purse and he took of with out one word. I saw him driving around the body shop and went in to the car yard where other cars are and disappeared. I waited in the cold for 25 minutes when he came back with the car and told me quickly that the car has a damage in the front rigth side and that caused a problem under the car and you should take it somewhere else. I could not believe my eyes when I saw that what happened was that he pumped my car rigth inside the card yard. The damage was fresh and there was a lot of dust from the hit. I told him it wasn't there. He said it was. Then I pointed the dust all over the rigth front saying. Look the dust of what just happened still there and we had rain yesterday night, winds and lots of rain this morning too and how do u explain that? He try to clean the dust with his fingers and said ohh this were the guys trying to Check out the car. Layer. We are gonna take this very serious and you kenwood will hear from us again. We have a huge complain about what happened. This is not honest work. This is dishonest as it can be. You damaged my car and you will hear from us again. We are taking actions again this horrible experience I had today. Also I asked him what about the noise where is coming from and the brakes what is the problem. He quickly answered that I fixed the noise and there is no noise no more. I lift the shell. I asked him what is it and he ignored me. I called my husband. I handed the phone to him to talk to my husband. He keeps ignoring the fact that the car had no damages at all until he came back from the place he took the car with out my permission. No papers where signed, no saying. No nothing. Discarding what happened. I am so mad. So mad and my husband is gonna make it big we promise. Customer service horrible.
