I called them about the decal and went back the put on the decal that says Wrangler, I told them you are missing the decal that said "sport" that the Jeep came from factory... They start arguing with me "The Jeep doesn't come with that" Even when I show them pictures of Jeep brand new coming with that decal. Then he told me ok I'm gonna order for you, we'll call you when is here... It's been months smh And now I just realized they didn't even put back the antenna on my jeep!!! They have no accountability and because my parents do not speak good English, they went above and beyond to try to take advantage of them. Gave my car to this amazing Estimator, Monica Martinez who exceeded my expectations: 1) finished the job one week earlier as it took only four working days to get new bumper and fix the dents plus courtesy painting of tiny spots of the four doors' edges (caused by hitting the walls when parked). 2) the cost is less than 3 competitors that I shopped around near my home 3) Ms Martinez is very friendly and professional. She even texted me to let me know the progress and the completion and sending me pictures of the job being done. I never met such quick, friendly and professional person like her. I brought my baby girl here due to someones negligence. I was recommended to Gerber from the insurance company. After looking at the reviews, i decided to drop in for an estimate. Kourtney was my point of contact and sped up my process. She saved me a day. Gave me an earlier appointment, which I totally appreciated. I went in, I was immediately greeted by her and staff. I forgot the employee who helped me, older man. Gave me my estimate and told me how long it would be for my car to be repaired. The next biz day, I came in, Kourtney already had my rental set up, no hassle whatsoever. She also kept me informed with the stats of the insurance co and the process. I loved how this place stayed in communication with me. A LOT of car repair facilities do not do this. They'll call you and you get text messages. I had some minor issues with the insurance but Kourtney called me and helped me resolve it. When my car was ready she called me. Checking out was a breeze, and returning my lovely rental was too. My car looked new and even gave it a nice car wash, something I totally did not expect. The guys did a great job. I definitely recommend this place if your car is involved in a collison or need an auto body shop. read more

Well, the first part of the story is very sad. Let's just suffice it to say there was a sudden need to visit the Auto Body Shop owned by Gerber. The initially told us the repairs would take 5 days so we prepared for a full week. They were done on Wednesday instead! Awesome. Work quality was fantastic. Customer service was fantastic. We checked several body shops in the area, they were near the lowest price, and with the great customer service and quality, they won our future business. Not that you want to see them again, no offence, but having to fix dings isn't always well high on the list of things to do! read more

It is unfortunate that I have to give a bad review. My sweet mother came in there to get her car fixed through her insurance. She comes back a couple days later to pick up her car and the battery is dead (she got a dent fixed, so nothing to do with the mechanical side). When she approached and told the manager about it and to ask him to fix it (since the battery died in the their shop) he was extremely rude. When she said she would wait until he fixed it he was smug and told her that eventually you'll have to leave to return your rental so you should leave. I'm saying all of this in a nice way. He was so rude to the point of making her cry. When she went to our personal mechanic to tell him what happened, he calls the manager here. When he asked why he made her cry he just hung up the phone. Then our mechanic tried calling him several times and the manager kept screening the calls. Anyways high discourage anyone coming here! I contacted my insurance company and was referred to Gerber Collision.i was told that the car will take about 5 to 7 days when I went to pick it up at 4:45pm that Friday, I got a text message at 4:40pm that they must put another part. and told me to come back next Monday which I did drive all the way back that day. Complete mess. Between poor time management, poor service and awful paint work I will never take my car there I don't care what my insurance company says. Let me elaborate: I hate writing so I'll keep this short! Wife's Trailblazer is hit in parking lot, Gerber gives estimate of a few weeks because of parts etc. Wife takes kids out of town with rental car Gerber sends several notifications saying on track for next week , then 15 minutes later says car is done turn your rental in now. Confusion ensues. LOTS AND LOTS of confusion. Pick car up in pouring rain but did not notice the RUNNING PAINT down the door. Wife Brought it back and they tried to BUFF IT OUT! Comical amateur hour at GERBER. Then they picked it back up (because I made them) and I showed them where they never even removed the tape or paper from the roof from the original paint, also they never even buffed the paint over spray etc. it goes on and on... Manager said it would be back by 5pm, guess what? NOPE. 2 more days. Basically, they are poorly managed and poor quality. When I asked the manager if I brought them my classic 68 Camaro would it be treated like my this? He basically said they only do insurance work! After all the problems, delays, rental cars, and time out of work dealing with Gerber, I filed complaint with USAA (My insurance) to ask them why are they using Gerber. No rating here because they don't deserve one. First of all, you'll notice when you take your car there for anything, including the bottom shield splash or engine protector, that's something you can do online. Next thing is that for some reason they'll tell tell you that you have to leave your car there even though it's drivable, and keep it until the part comes in, and by the way, " your insurance should pay 80%, so you shouldn't worry." The splash guard for my car was from a different manufacturer other than the original and the work was sloppy, to say the least. It may be used for my particular car and year, but it was never like the original. They ordered the cheapest parts and didn't even bother using stronger clips and screws to hold it where it came up short from the undercarriage. The original had no gaps. I took it in because the Jerry rigged job done before in making 3 different pieces hold together by a 1/4" plastic screw and nothing to tie it to the lip under the bumper, fell off. I simply took it in so they could reattach these pieces. I'll say this; if you feel like you've been ripped off by a place like this, it's good to "listen in ". These guys made a huge deal because they had to redo something in a professional manner and tried to blame me for damage i never caused, as long as their shoddy workmanship is involved,and they were pissed that they had to put 2 pieces of plastic together with 1 longer screw and a plastic clip. read more

Got my car back to me in half the time they thought it would take. They even had to special order a part. They're playing games at this Gerber Collision in Germantown. My wife stopped by at this location and requested an estimate for some body work she wanted to have done to her car. The lady at the front desk informed my wife that their earliest appointment time wasn't until the following week. Mind you, she came in on a Tuesday and was told that she wouldn't be seen until next Thursday. I just found that hard to believe since each time I drive past this location, the parking lot is very empty and makes me wonder if they'll ever close down due to low business. Unfortunately, I was involved in a small finder-binder over the Memorial Day weekend. I contacted my insurance company and was referred to Gerber Collision. A few days later, I received a phone call from Gerber Collision and the representative who contacted me said I could bring my car in for an estimate the following day. I was perplexed since my wife was just told a few days earlier from this same location that she couldn't bring her car in until the following week. I asked them why I was able to quickly come in the next day and my wife was told to wait until next week. The representative tells me some gibberish about insurance companies having priority over regular customers. I told her that a customer from an insurance company and a walk-in customer are all green, meaning they would make money regardless. I didn't like those shoddy business practices, so I declined to have my vehicle worked on at this specific body shop. We'll just take both of our vehicles to another body shop where they don't mind making money. My wife ended up going to the Gaithersburg location where she was able to get an estimate in a matter of 10 minutes. She told me that the lady sitting behind the counter at the Gaithersburg location grabbed her clipboard and went right outside to complete the estimate. I don't have the slightest clue as to why one location made it seem like they have a big back log of appointments and one location was able to do the estimate in a jiffy. read more

Brought in my porsche macan to fix some paint damage on the drivers side rear door, there was TWO SCRATCHES on the front door too, i payed more to try and buff out the scratches. If it cant buff out than its fine they can leave it alone. When it was time to pick up the car there was like THREE more extra scratches on the driver side front door and a small dent on the passenger side, i told them there was more scratches the first thing they said was "you can pay more to fix it". Everyday i check my car to because I'm a car enthusiast and never was the more than two scratches on the front door. Customer service was bad the guy up front gave me an attitude and said stuff to try and make me look stupid. They said to fix the scratches would be 500 and something dollars. Brought my vehicle in for repair, after the initial assessment; my insurance company would only cover some of the cost. The GM of the store went above and beyond and repaired items on my vehicle that my insurance company wouldn't cover. In addition, my significant others vehicle had some damage to a part on the vehicle which began to rust. They sanded it down and reapplied the paint (which I purchased) free of charge. Don't try to use them for glass repair/replacement. I called and scheduled an appointment and was given a window of 12-4 for the service the day before Thanksgiving. At 2:30 I get a call that there was an issue with the part they needed and they wouldn't be able to do it that day. I was told to call back on Friday to get it scheduled for Friday since they were understandably closed on Thanksgiving. I call back on Friday morning and am told that they don't have any appointments until the next day. When I explain what happened with the first appointment I am told that I never called back to reschedule. I couldn't have called on Thanksgiving because they were closed, and I called in the morning the next day they were open so when else should I have called? In addition, if they cared about customer service they should have been following up with me to make sure I got my appointment in the next available time slot. There are a lot of options in this area that are all in the same price range. If it is this difficult to get a company to get my business I can only imagine how terrible things would go if there was an issue with the windshield replacement. Recently, someone cracked my taillight cover. State Farm, which covered the claim, suggested that I take my car to Gerber Collision and Glass in Germantown MD. This has been an ordeal for such a seemingly simple repair, involving (at least) 5 trips for me to this location: Trip 1: The employee inspected the damage and ordered the taillight cover. Trip 2: I took the car to the shop to have the part replaced. When I got home, I noticed the new taillight cover was already cracked. Trip 3: I took the car back to the shop to have the cracked cover examined, and the part was ordered (again.) Trip 4: I took the car back to have the new part installed, but they had received the wrong part, so they ordered a new part (AGAIN!) Trip 5 (upcoming): I'm hoping this will be my last trip (to finally get the taillight cover installed!) All of this over a taillight cover! I'd hate to think what would have happened if I had more major damage! read more

If I could give no stars I would the only people who are professional and know what they are doing are the receptionist. I was in a car accident and my insurance company suggested them. I get there to sign the authorization and ask them to make sure to check the front of my car and the engine as I was rear ended and I also hit some one I was assured they would do an extensive check and not to worry because "they are in the business of making money" this was Tuesday at noon I get a call on Thursday morning that my car was ready I was skeptical since they only had a day and a half to do the work I was assured the car was good to go and that the engine was cleaned. Well I pick it up Friday evening everything was fine. Saturday I drive less than 2 miles and my car starts to over heat! This has never happened before so I called my insurance company and they tow me to Gerber Collision they don't have technicians on the weekends so I get a call Monday and they say it is not related to the accident. Furthermore that there are parts missing from my vehicle and to call my mechanic. The first question that came to mind is how it's possible for a collision center to release my vehicle knowing that "it is missing parts" how could they let a car go out that was not safe to drive they could not answer this question And when I ask the general manager he said he never told me he cleaned the engine and couldn't answer any of my questions the receptionist kept apologize and where shocked at the managers lack of response and lack of professionalism they kept saying they understood how I felt and kept apologizing to sum it up I don't have a working car I loss a day of work Saturday and gerber collision said it's not their problem DONT GO THERE!!!! read more

Brought my car here for repairs last winter when falling ice damaged my car. The body work was halfway decent but after having my car for almost a week and even replacing the hood, the "technicians" never even thought to look at the engine area. My car was returned with a cracked engine cover, cracked oil cap and cracked intake box, all damage caused by the ice but overlooked by the "technicians". They got their quick buck from my insurance company but failed to complete the necessary work. One day, As I was driving down 16th street minding my own business.. a car hit my poor mini cooper from behind. It completely destroyed the exhaust and half of my trunk was completely damaged. I was not pleased. I immediately called had the driver call the insurance company to start the claim. The insurance company referred me to this body shop. When I brought the car to the shop, a very nice man was able to help me with all my concerns. He immediately knew what was wrong with the car and even pointed out damages that I had missed. He was extremely helpful through the process. He gave me an estimated time of when the car would be ready for pickup. One day after, he called me to let me know that he had to order a part directly from BMW and that it would take a few days more than expected. A few days later, the shop called me to let me know that the car was ready for pickup! My beautiful mini cooper was back and ready for the road. I am 100% pleased with the quality of service and customer care that Gerber has to offer. I will definitely be coming back for future repairs, if needed. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Nobody is happy when their car is damaged, but Gerber makes it as painless as possible. Their customer service is AWESOME. The people at the front desk are lovely. The guy who does the repairs is great; he walks you through everything that is damaged and everything that he is planning to do. I was EXTREMELY nervous about the entire process of getting my car repaired but both Jessi and Courtney made the entire experience one in which I will ALWAYS remember!!! They couldn't have been more friendly, professional and patient with my endless phone calls to them as to how my car was coming along. In addition, they would send me daily e-mails with pictures included as to the repairs being made to my car.
