Fortunately for my wallet and vehicles, I have only used Auto Body a limited amount. I used them as a GEICO Express option. Doing so made things very convenient as I was able to use them a a central location to have a GEICO adjuster estimate damage while I drove away in an Enterprise rental. Dealing with the two gentleman Randy and Dave who run the shop was very pleasant. They were friendly guys that gave me what I felt were honest opinions. My first situation retrieving my car after repairs was a positive one. I was very happy with the work done to repair a bumper. When I made them aware they they did not buff a headlight, they asked that I come right over, and they fixed it while I waited, apologizing for what was an honest mistake overlooking it (hard to see in the sunlight). Customer service was terrific when I had questions about my A/C, and attention/advice was given just as a courtesy. At another time, when my vehicle turned out to be a total loss, they were very accomodating providing me the time I needed to come by and take care of the various things needed. My hope is I do not need to use them again (it would mean damage to my car, right?), but I do say I can recommend them. read more

They did not complete all repairs stating the insurance company denied part of the claim. They did not bother to inform me of this issue until picking up the car sighting they were not responsible to inform the client of any insurance company decisions. When arguing with them they told me I should just leave and not bother them. read more

This place is amazing!!! Neighbor hit my car so I took it here. We were very concerned as the paint is a beautiful red and we wanted to make sure it matched. The car is only 2 years old but when a tree landed on a rear panel another body shop didn't do well. When I got the car, it was detailed and it looked brand new. I couldn't get over how good it looked. I have shown some friends, one who used to paint, and they all were amazed how great it looked. Very solid job and no cutting corners. Hopefully we don't need a body shop moving forward, but if we do we will take it here. Car was done in the time frame they told me and everyone is very friendly. read more

There was some discussion of letting something go but I returned to emphasize what I wanted. I certainly did not pay $1979.90 to have three good-looking corners and one messed up one. We meet with Jon and it took him 5 minutes to identify what was needed to fix our son's car. He was very professional as well as all the staff. The price he quoted was fair and honest for the amount of work that needed to be done. He was precise in regard to the completion time and was able to deliver. These folks did fantastic work. I live about a mile away from the Germantown shop and the young fellow there arranged to give a me ride home when I dropped off my truck for repairs and then they picked me up to take me back to the shop to get my truck when their work was finished. The fit, finish and paint was perfectly executed for the repairs in every way. The truck was cleaned spotlessly inside and out. My highest recommendation. They did an outstanding job in every way and the people (Jason?) were fantastic in every way. The next time Milano's pizza does Monday Specials on Pizza, I plan on bringing them 2 or 3 pies for lunch. The experience was that good. read more

I recently was backed into in a parking lot offering curbside service when a gentleman backed into me and crushed my back door in. I filed a claim and ended up using International auto collision in Germantown Maryland. I took my car in to be assessed, and also asked about a few imperfections that were on my car previous. I was willing to pay cash. Jon Benson quoted me 100.00 for the small dent in my front door. I was so happy to have my car looking brand new again. I dropped off my car and checked it in with Dave Evans who was very nice. There were again a few spots that needed to be touched up with paint. Dave told me not to worry that the paint has to blend with other portions of the same side and that they would take care of that free of charge. I was so excited to go and get my car back. They told me it was ready for pick up. I was so upset. The dent Jon told me I could pay the 100.00 for was still there. I was calm and respectful but disappointed to say the least. I saw the look on his face, he forgot all about it and then proceeded to get rude and aggressive, telling me we never had the conversation. I explained to him that I wouldn't have known a price if he didn't quote it. He basically told me to leave. He said when I brought my car back for the final piece that they claimed was bad when they got it from the dealership, we would discuss it further. When I showed up a couple days later for them to put the strip on, they sent out a gentleman who barely spoke English, to avoid having to deal with me. It's a sad shame because initially I thought they were very nice. The spots they said they would touch up, were sprayed over, but you can still see them all plain as day. I was skeptical at first, as I chose this body shop based purely on its convenient location, and because it's a Geico ARX partner. I had read the other reviews here which mostly seemed good, but there were only 4 other reviews at the time so I was still a little worried. But as soon as I stepped inside their office and spoke to the very professional employees, I felt reassured. My car got rear-ended and the damage was extremely minor. The Geico ARX program turned out to be very smooth - Geico and Enterprise employees were there at the body shop, with my rental car ready. Dropped off my car with the shop, got my rental car and was on my way in about 20 minutes. Everyone I dealt with (mostly Randy) at Auto Body Connection was very friendly. There were just a few small holes on my rear bumper so everything was done in 2 days time. Damage was gone and unnoticeable, and they even cleaned my car up really well. Only minor hiccup was that when I got to the shop after being told my car was ready, I noticed my bumper wasn't properly clipped back on so it just took another 10 minutes while they took care of that and Randy touched up some minor paint blemish for me as well. They definitely seem trustworthy and willing to take care of you until you are satisfied, and most importantly, they understand customer service read more

I think Seth C's review is very atypical of what I have experienced with this shop. I've been using them since 1986 they were on Snouffer School Rd in Gaithersburg. They did a full paint job on my 85 Accord, and on my son's Cavalier. No flaws. Since then I have followed them through their moves to Rockville (White Flint Collision) and Germantown. I've even had my 96 Vulcan motorcycle painted by them. Since that first job in 86 I've had them do multiple repair jobs on my cars, my childrens' cars, and my friends' cars. I couldnt be happier with the work that Dave and his crew did. Not only does the body repair work look like I just just drove my car out of the dealership, but they cleaned my carpets, upholstery and looks like they may have even waxed the car, it is so shiny and clean!!! My sister recommended Dave and I decided to check them out and get a quote for my rear bumper damage. I was rushing to get there after hours and Dave waited for me... gave me a quote on the spot and my car was completed in 2 days. If you are a car person do not bring your car to this place especially if you have a nice one. First off, I had recently gotten t-boned while driving my 2016 Jetta sport which was my first accident and it wasn't my fault. My dad and I always kept the car in mint condition, but ever since this collision center did a mediocre and "half ass" job it will never look close to as it did before. I needed the work done, but when I got my car back I realized how sloppy these people work and the lack of pride they take in their work which is really sad. The first time I got a call to get my car back the car looked absolutely trash. They obviously don't prep the cars to be painted at all because I could see over sprays on my mud flaps and under my fender lining. My cars interior was not covered when the car was fixed which left my interior looking dirty, dusty, and not how I left it. My car was completely clean when I gave it to them. The door wasn't alined properly and the body lines were sticking out. The paint had endless orange peal and did not look professional at all. It also wasn't polished and was probably not prepped at all prior to starting. The paint where the damages occurred was not properly polished which created an awful matte look. Although I have a lifetime warranty for the repairs I will never bring it back to this body shop after the two trips I had there both with sloppy outcomes. read more

Used this body shop through the geico express service. First time my car was in the shop for almost two weeks for a little dent on the hood due to ice falling on it. Took it to a car show and got embarrassed about the paint job. Dropped the car off last Thursday. Guy said it was only going to take 3 hours to fix. Its been a week. Been back twice since to pick up things and the car haven't even been touched. Terrible service and communication. Won't be going there ever again and definitely don't recommend it for car lovers. read more

Used this body shop through Geico Express after my car was rear-ended. First estimate was three days but eventually they kept my car over a week because "the paint was bubbling" and they had to redo it three times. Things happen, no problem there. However, 5 months later the bumper started peeling and bubbling. I went back to body shop - 3 months ago now and it is still not fixed. First they admitted that the paint failed completely and that it was under lifetime warranty. Then they started blaming the paint supplier. I brought my car back for the paint supplier to collect paint samples and weeks are going by and my car is still not fixed. The body shop's and Geico Express lifetime warranty is a scam. The body shop has no professional honor to stand behind their work. Avoid this place if you do not want to have experience like mine. read more

jason did a great job he was the first person i dealt with , pleasant first impression. had someone come look at my damage through geico customer care , went over damages with him. Came back 2 days later to pick up my car only to find out my mirrors had been adjusted in every way shape and form seat was no where near where i left it but came back to a cleaner car. a day goes by and i finally look at my car to find out the work was not completely they completed neglected to repair my passenger side mirror. call back and they are more than happy to fix the issue , they ask me if i'd want a ride to work or if they could just snap off the cover on the mirror only then to realize it was more damage then inspected minor imperfections but something that was not caught in the initial assessment.i left the car with them stressed to jason i did not want anyone driving my car or adjusting my mirrors because it takes forever and 5 years to get it back to the way you like it. they gave me a ride to work and offered to pick me up. I called a few hours later to check on my car and it was just about ready. then went and scheduled a time where they could pick me up and bring me back to the shop. this time comes and i now see my car pulling up in the parking lot , i go to tell the driver i didn't want anyone driving my car and she tells me well you can drive it back to the shop. so now i'm expected to drive you back to the shop and drive back home no sorry that is a no in my book . overall experience was just sad . would not recommend anyone spend time or money here at this shop read more

I have had to have car body repair done twice at Auto Body Connection in the last 3 months and both times have walked away impressed. They are courteous, friendly, and honest. And when I drove off their lot, my car was cleaner (both inside & out) than it was when I dropped it off. I had 3 dealings with this shop and the last one is the worst and final one with them. They have never met their quoted time they've missed it each time by a week or more. The first car I put in sat there for two weeks I was waiting on a price to get it fixed I guess they were too busy and ultimately I had to pull the car from the shop and take it elsewhere and got it fixed in five days. The second one I gave them another chance to have a door repaired that got damaged when I got it back the door is wavy in the Sun and has an 8-inch run in the door which they have yet to fix to date and the final one was what should have been a simple bumper repair that should only taken I would say 5 days but ultimately has now been there a month additional damages occurred in the shop and they have never contacted me and are clueless when you talk to them but then when I reached out to the owner he is even worse he ultimately said he was just going to charge storage on our car put a lien on it and ultimately own it this is a Geico preferred shop not that I can see why they would want to partner with people like this. When the owner is not even willing to help solve the problem instead hangs up on you. Do yourself a strong favor and take your car elsewhere because if there's any kind of problem you will be the loser in the end. I have mixed feelings about the paint job and body work I had done at Auto Body Connection. I did quite a bit of shopping around and getting estimates before choosing this shop to repair some accident damage and then do a repaint of my entire car. Many body shops are not even willing to take on full paint jobs as they are very labor intensive and time consuming, and they can make more money on quicker accident repairs. So kudos to them for even being willing to take on this type of work which most other shops turn away. I had originally gotten an estimate from them a year prior to having the work done. The person I spoke to originally said a full paint job includes painting the door jambs and under the hood and trunk lid. I didn't get the car painted right away due to unrelated expenses that came up, however after I was involved in an accident a year later I made the rounds and got estimates that included repainting the entire car, including the door jambs and hood and trunk lid undersides. I also let Auto Body Connection revise their estimate to include the new damage. To their credit they took into account that the original estimate already included painting the damaged area and the estimate didn't increase by much. It was now a different estimator and we didn't discuss the original estimate very much, although in hindsight I should have gone over it completely with them since this estimator had a different understanding of the work to be done than what the original estimator had told me. They had the best price, their location was the most convenient, and they could do the work right away. The paint job I got had a some orange peel, there were several blemishes under the paint, one decent size dent had not been repaired, the tail lights and fog lights didn't work, and the headlights were loose and were not aligned properly. I went back and the tail and fog lights were fixed. The loose headlights were blamed on cheap aftermarket parts. However they could have purchased original parts and didn't even consult me on which I would prefer. They spec'd the parts and then placed the blame on the parts they purchased even though a better part was available. When I complained they said it wasn't really that bad and I should be more concerned with maintenance on the car than with the headlights that moved up and down while I drive at night. They also didn't paint the door jambs and under the hood and trunk lid, saying that wasn't included. If I had wanted that type of paint job I'm sure the other shops I got estimates from could have done the job for less. I calmly discussed the problems with them and they offered to fix the problems at my expense. After 4 hours of standing around in their shop trying to get things corrected I left in disgust. I have another car I'm getting ready to paint this winter but this shop will not be getting any more of my business. read more
