After 19 years with a kitchen that was designed in the 70's I was ready for a remodel. My husband being the CPA wanted multiple quotes so we interviewed 5 contractors without success. I was about to take a sledgehammer to the kitchen just to get it started when Christina, a designer at ProSource, recommended Caroline Weaver. I called her and got a quote which fit within our budget and made my husband happy. I had ordered appliances in August that were to be delivered in January. OK that worked we'll just store them in the garage. I ordered our cabinets from ProSource (also a great company to work with) in October. I was told it would take up to 16 weeks to get the cabinets which was OK with me but pushing into tax season which probably would have given my husband a heart attack. Anyway, the ball had started to roll when SURPRISE(!) the cabinets were ready to be delivered in December. After a bit of panic. I contacted Caroline and let her know that the cabinet company would hold the cabinets until January but the timeline had been pushed forward. As luck would have it she had an unexpected cancellation and was able to fit us in. The day in early January that her crew came over to begin demolition we had lost power and it was absolutely pouring rain. It was no problem for them they just merrily went about demolishing the kitchen. The job was expected to take 5-6 weeks they were finished in 4 and it was beautiful. So here is what I love about Monument Home Services, Caroline Weaver, Wade, Tyler and Juan (her team). Caroline always responded quickly to my questions and I had a lot of questions. The team showed up on time everyday altho' honestly 7am killed me. I'm not a morning person. They were completely professional in everything they did. They cleaned up every night before they left. I mean REALLY cleaned up. The work they did was perfect. Wade is a perfectionist and it showed. I never felt that is was just "good enough" It was beautifully done and he added touches that improved the overall look. I found this company (& another) through Yelp and requested an estimate on a new kitchen backsplash. Caroline was very pleasant and professional. Before I even hired her company, she gave me some helpful advice & suggestions. Her estimate came in thousands less than the other contractor for the same work and they were able to work in the timeframe I needed. The contractor that did the work was courteous, thorough, and did a great job. He and his assistant were great about cleaning up, too. This review is based solely on crappy customer service I received simply trying to get this company to send contractor to meet with me to get a quote. I scheduled a meetings around in morning before work. Larry did not show. Or, to be fair he showed up and left his card, but he did not ring the doorbell or even knock to alert me, while I was in back of house preparing for work, of his presence--can't really be sure why; maybe he didn't want to disturb the house, even though we had a meeting SCHEDULED? Maybe I would have known what had happened has he BOTHERED TO CALL ME. He did not. But whatever. I decided I wanted to meet with Larry because the few other reviewers on here had spoken so highly of this company. So I reached out by email, and I was told--rather curtly--that "7:15 on Monday" was the only time Larry could meet me. That day happened to be a holiday and I was off of work, so I didn't NEED any meeting to be so early....but I decided potentially getting the right person for all the work I need done on my house was worth getting up at 7am for. That morning rolls around, and Larry is a complete no show. No knock, no doorbell, no phone call, nothing. Again, maybe their building services are stellar. But their approach to customer service is short of professional. UPDATE: when I emailed Monument explaining that Larry had not show up, this was the entire email I received back: "Yes, if we are having this much trouble connecting I think working together is not going to work out anyway." No hint of apology. No acknowledgment that the "trouble connecting" was simply Larry being a no-show. I guess a company that doesn't respect you personally will still respect your house. First of all, I would give them a 10 star rating if that was an option. From the very first meeting with Caroline to the completion of our kitchen remodel, everything went as planned. Caroline was amazing. Her expertise was invaluable in deciding on the flooring, countertops, etc. She was a calm and reassuring presence as we went about making all the necessary decisions. It was such a pleasure working with her. Wade and Tyler did the remodel. I was initially concerned about having strangers in our house, but those concerns disappeared quickly once I met them. They were very respectful, personable and showed great pride in what they were doing. Wade was very knowledgeable and great with details! His assistant, Tyler, was awesome and they worked well together. We decided to keep our old cabinets. Wade and Tyler worked really hard to make them look almost new. Wade even fabricated a half cabinet and drawer out of ones that were modified to accommodate a dishwasher. They offered to install our extra cabinet and drawer knobs in our bathroom even though they weren't working in the bathroom. There is so much more I could say about this wonderful group, but suffice it to say I give them an A+. Our new kitchen is more than we had dreamed of and it is all thanks to them! We look forward to working with them again next year when it is time to remodel one of our bathrooms! read more

My wife and I purchased a house in Windsor, and at the recommendation of our Realtor, hired Monument to tear out the carpets in the house (12+ years old, wrong color, odd smell) and clean the concrete underneath them, before we physically got to Sonoma County. When we got here, the company helped us select new wood flooring, and - this qualifies them for the highest rating - got the flooring installed before the moving van with our furniture arrived from the East Coast, a week after we made our flooring selection. The flooring looks great, and we're extremely pleased that we didn't have to move furniture around to have it installed. read more

Larry at Monument was professional, timely, and conscientious. Our house needed major work on siding and framing due to dry rot. Other bidders wanted to pull cabinets and tile out, but Larry knew a way to do it without all that expense and disruption. Contracted through Lowe's, they did fine with the cabinets and the tile look very nice, but they totally came up short with finish details, communication and customer service. Lied about damage caused by workers, gave incorrect answers to product and process questions, painted over sections of unsanded spackling, gouged and scratched 90 year old oak floor when moving stove, installed sink incorrectly with missing piece & refused to correct so had to pay an actual plumber to reinstall, and had the misfortune to have to deal with arrogant, indifferent & condescending "project director". Maybe Lowe's didn't pay them enough. read more

The 2019 Russian River flood revealed the mother of all dry rot in the structural joist supporting the deck of our Monte Rio cabin. It's like your house has cancer! I found Larry from Monument Home Services on Yelp searching for dry rot repair. It was a very difficult job. They had to provide temporary supports, cut the deck away, and replace structural members. We encountered more rot in the wall and they had to remove and reassemble patio doors, electrical, and HVAC ducts. Fantastic job. Everything repaired as good as new. WOW! I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are to have found Monument! Caroline and team pulled off such a feat during our 2 wk vacation. We got new hardwoods, new paint, new baseboards, hardware and doors. We only contacted them days before we left the country and not only was the house completely finished before we got back home, Caroline kept us updated via email the whole time . . . .During the Holidays!
