Moo & Brew continues to be a solid go-to for us. I tried the patty melt this time and it was exactly what you want it to be, melty, savory, and packed with flavor. My boyfriend went with the bison burger and loved it. We've been here a few times now and the food is consistently great, which I really appreciate. The only reason this isn't a full five stars is the sweet potato fries; they just tasted like they needed a bit more time to get that perfect crisp. Also, the space is definitely small and gets crowded quickly..not a dealbreaker, just something to note. Service was friendly, our food came out hot, and overall it was another really good experience. We'll absolutely be back!

We needed a place to park and visit Thirsty Beaver but first, we needed something to eat since they don't have food over there. We found a spot here and to ensure we wouldn't get towed, we had a pretty solid meal. Cheeseburger, fries, fried banana peppers and two rounds of drinks. I think we sufficiently paid for the parking! Service was excellent and attentive. The food arrived quickly and still very hot. Delicious and filling. And now we can pop across the street with no guilt. This is the best non-commercial burger spot in CLT hands down. The ingredients are quality and offer a great variety. You can get classic cheeseburger or a cool speciality. The vibe is fun very eclectic with ample inside and outside seating. The service is Amazing! We've never had a bad experience with the people at this spot. They really care to give you great food at a great price with quite a few going above and beyond. The only improvement that would push this place over the top is better beer maintenance. I've had many different kinds of beers over many seasons here and they're never good. Either skunk tasting, flat, or room temp. We now only order cocktails if we want to drink here. Maybe cleaner beer lines or improved cooler system would help. Otherwise thank you for being a community Gem and must see in Charlotte.

One of my favorite burger spots in Charlotte. Good burgers, amazing fries, kid and dog friendly. Didn't give it 5 stars though because the last two times I went my burger was cooked medium when I asked for med rare and the patties are a bit on the salty side. But otherwise I will keep coming back because of the great kid and dog friendly atmosphere!

My burger was great! I ordered the moo melt, garlic Parmesan fries and the cheese curds. Everything came out so fast. My server was very kind and accommodating. The outside seating was really nice. I enjoyed my lunch here. They also have mimosa specials

We have not been to Moo and Brew in a long time and it was still as good as before.. one big pro was our great server Cody. Being New Year's Day he was attentive and very patient with my requests to move tables and turn on heaters. The ambiance was chill as always and glad it is still apart of Plaza Midwood. Cheese curds were amazing! I had the Farmers Daughter burger 10/10. Go check out this staple and ask for Cody. Happy 2026

Went here for some nice brews and some apps. Sat at the bar. Great staff, very attentive. Loved the spot. Super causal. Great place to have some beers and food with friends. The large order of bacon cheese fries was very delicious and hit the spot! The cheese curds were not what I'm used too. They needed to be fried more. It was very messy to eat. I want to go back and try the burgers

Large patio, mystery drinks, & fun vibes! We came here for late night food & drinks after an improv show at the Charlotte Comedy Theater on a Friday night. Showing up to the outside window around 10:15pm, we were informed that the only food offerings at that time were appetizers. There wasn't a menu to look at, and the staff member just rattled out the options. The most substantial pick were the chicken tenders, so most of us ordered those, and we also got an order of cheese curds. To drink, my husband and I took a walk on the wild side and got two $2 brown bag specials, which are essentially random cans served in brown paper bags. I got a Coors heavy (not typically my preference, but fine), and hubs got a Beast peach hard seltzer that tasted like a peach ring gummy + stevia. I didn't have high expectations, and for that price point, you really can't complain! Our names were called back up to the window when our food orders were ready. The cheese curds were hot and well fried, and I really enjoyed the sauce they came with. Great with beer! The chicken tenders weren't the best I've had in terms of texture and thickness, but they did the job, and the fries they came with were really nice. Overall, Moo & Brew is a really fun spot in Plaza Midwood to hang out on their patio and (hopefully) enjoy a drink + food that pairs well with drinks.

Good service, solid burgers, small dining room, good luck finding parking. The four of us came on a Fri night and it was super hard to find parking. Fortunately, we were able to get immediately seated inside. The outdoor dining area more than doubles the inside space....so if the weather is decent there is far more seating. We started with Midwest Cheese Curds ($9) and they were a hit. Beer selection was good....but expected more local IPA's. My bride ordered the Cooper River ($14) and it was fine. I went with the Rocket Turkey ($10) with fries ($4)....enjoyed the burger. Service from Sarah was great!

Moo and brew has always had fantastic food. I work close enough to here where this is a common restaurant we throw around in our rotations. All burgers have been solid. Cooked to temp perfectly, fries always well seasoned. Food has never had an "off" day. They are consistent! But man oh man, what made me so happy was how my experience was above and beyond-- on a to go order. I wish i caught the name of the gentleman helping me. I placed a large Togo order of 12 entrees and sides. This sweet baby angel face went ABOVE and beyond and labeled everyone's food. Ensured everything was packed perfectly and he took ownership of his proud work. I explained to him why it's such a large order, as it's someone's "good bye meal" as they were having a promotion. And this sweet kind loving baby angel face man DECORATED THE TO GO BOX. Thank you so much, you contributed to a memorable day. Cheers!

Tried Moo & Brew on a Sunday. We didn't wait long to be seated. There's indoor & outdoor seating available. I ordered the salmon burger & sweet fries. The salmon burger comes with a dill sauce which isn't bad, but it's a different taste. I think I'd prefer honey mustard instead. I love that the salmon patty is made/patted there. I feel the burger could've been better with onions & bacon.. for sort of like a salmon BLT. The fires, I can tell, are hand cut there which I also liked. Overall, good experience. I just wish the salmon had more flavor as it was a little bland for my liking.

Ask the Community - Moo & Brew

Are pets allowed in the patio area?

I'm here on the patio and a couple has their two dogs a few tables away. I would be careful bringing animals that are scared of loud noises. The train went by and was LOUD! Assume a dog that's scared of loud noises would've FREAKED out.

Do they have any happy hour specials?

Hi Jess! Unfortunately the state of NC does not allow restaurants to discount any alcohol for “happy hour”. However, we will be rolling out some discounted apps and burgers…

Two of my personal standouts are the Beetle Juice, which incorporates fresh beet juice, and The Fishbone, which brilliantly highlights their house-made aquavit. That was just half a day in, so naturally, I started feeling like Charlotte had passed me a note, "I like you, stay longer." The one thing I failed to respect was the Carolina summer sun. I desperately needed a hat. Sure, I could have gone to Target or the bike shop I passed earlier, but any civilized man knows the best place to buy a cap is a brewery. Untappd pointed me toward one of the most popular breweries in a city full of popular breweries: Burial Beer Co. Since I was driving, I kept things responsible and sampled taster-sized pours, spacing them out with non-alcoholic mocktails and 0.0 beer like a grown man who still wanted to remember where he parked. Burial also offers cocktails, ICEEs, low-ABV session beers, THC beverages, wine, and self-serve water. The menu helps you navigate the offerings with color-coded sections: cocktails in blue, light-bodied beers in neon green, dark ales in orange, and high-ABV options in pink. Food isn't available onsite, but delivery gets the green light. I grabbed a corner seat at the bar, not because I wanted to brood, but because the post-brunch crowd had arrived in full force with babies, buddies, and dogs. Every bartender and guest I spoke with treated me like I had wandered into a neighborhood clubhouse instead of a brewery. They gave recommendations, bought me a drink, and one even helped me pick out a hat. Southern hospitality is alive and well at Burial Beer Co., a place that turned a shopping trip into a welcome party, proving that Charlotte knows how to beat the heat with good pours, good people, and better merch.
