Awesome place for a nostalgia fix. I went on a Monday early afternoon and wasn't crowded, I probably best the lunch crowd. I got the burger all the way which came with slaw, chili and onions. I'll admit it wasn't very flavorful, lacked enough seasonings in my opinion. The tater tots were good however. I got a chocolate coke for my drink and soooooo good. U can get refills on the coke but they will only do the chocolate once in the first pour. I assume if you're willing to pay for a second drink they would do it. In any case it was so delicious.

Park Road Soda Shoppe is a Charlotte staple that has been around since the 90s. It's a 1950s style diner that is heavy on nostalgia. The space is small and demand is high so be prepared to wait a little bit, but they get food out fast and the service is great and friendly. Most recently I stopped in and after a 15 minute wait, our hostess advised us that there were two seats open at the bar. Their menu consists of your staples, burgers, and hot dogs for lunch, eggs and pancakes for breakfast, and of course no 50s diner would be complete without some delicious ice cream sundaes and floats. If you are a fan of diners I highly recommend stopping in as this is one of my favorites in the city. Their burgers in particular are very delicious coming with slaw onions mustard and chili. I prefer mine without the slaw personally, but either way it tastes great!

Perfect little local diner vibes. We tried the following: - cheeseburger: tastes homemade in the best way - hot dog 'all the way': I forget the term they use for all the way but it has, I believe, chili / onion/ slaw. I don't even like hot dogs and this was tasty - fries: yum - fried pickles: so good! the ranch with it is also delish They also had Vanilla Coke which I know is a unique thing that isn't for everyone but it's my favorite - and great nugget ice! We will be here quite often I imagine.

Such a great and cost efficient place to grab a bite. Couple of hot dogs all the way or a burger with some onion rings is the way to go.

The Chicken and Dumplings were amazing as well. I always worry about the balance of chicken vs dumplings but this was very well balanced and delicious. The dumplings were cooked well and the chicken was very flavorful. The Southern Fried Steak was fantastic and well. No complaints about this dish either. Every component was well made and delicious. The only complaint I had was the service really went down hill after we got our meal. Our server didn't check on us until she delivered the bill which was disappointing because initially the service started out so well. The Southern Pecan is a good spot. Stop in and grab a bite.

The martini was sweeter than she was accustomed to but still enjoyed it. My cocktail was terrific. We went during Queens feast week, so my meal came with an app and desert that we split. We started off with their outstanding homemade chips and onion tip. It was a perfect light app and the saltiness helped off set the sweetness of the drinks. For dinner, my wife had the chicken cutlet sandwich. Which loved but struggled to eat all of it. It was a very large portion. The chicken was tender and the presentation was highlighted the fresh ingredients. I went with Ma the Meatloaf... love the Will Ferrel reference and entree was amazing. Our server, Austin recommended it. Great call, l virtually licked the plate. We finished off by sharing the Mississippi Mud Pie, which we were too full to eat but still did. Luckily we had time to walk to the comedy show we were attending that. We definitely needed to burn some calories.

We were looking for lighter fare and the menu had so many options to choose from. The lavender honey butter with the warm bread surprised me the most - the bread was fluffy and cloud like and divine with the butter. We nearly ordered another one, but it was just so decadent. The mezze platter had lots of great bites for our varied palates, loved the whipped ricotta and all the olives and fried naan. Harrisa roasted carrots were our idea of something healthy, and they may have been nutritious but tasted just as good as any main dish. Our server kindly warned us to be careful of the fresno chiles on the pork belly dish, and we appreciated that. They were quite spicy but very good with the slaw and pork belly - excellent bite of savory, crunchy, spicy and just a wee bit sweet was possible on that one. We happened to benefit from some wine specials and opted for a couple of bottles of wine at a serious discount that were excellent. Our server made great recommendations and made sure our glasses never ran dry. The manager also checked in on our group but was never intrusive. We enjoyed the booth seating near the window and the vibe was definitely upbeat but casual. It hit the spot!

The staff was amazing and I was astounded by their dedication to their craft. The best part was the food. We started with the chefs board which had an array of cheeses and spreads. The most memorable was the whipped feta. OMG. The Ambiance was the only thing I feel could use some tuning as there's not enough sound deadening to make the music out? If it's your first time here, you definitely have to try the bruschetta because it's the best I've had. You'll get to choose four different types among your board. My favorite bruschettas are the prosciutto and fig, the smoked salmon, the burrata, and the apple and brie. I also recommend the skewers. They are always cooked to perfection.
