Great service even though they were super busy. I decided to be adventurous and had the Lamb burger. I wasn't disappointed. I could taste the gaminess of the lamb patty, which was complimented by the funkiness of the feta cheese and the cilantro mint chutney. It was quite messy, but well worth it. Burgers were delicious, the fried zucchini delicious and a best part, a creamy and amazing chocolate chip ice cream. Waitress gave us some advice on what to get and made some recommendations. Checked up on us regularly as well. My only complaint is the price. A little pricey for a burger with no fries. The kids meals is the same size burger, costs less and comes with fries. If you are hungry, go elsewhere. Their service at the new location in downtown Bakersfield is a work in progress. They need to iron out a lot of kinks. Food is coming out too slow. Getting empty tables ready for guests takes too long. Mistakes with orders. Those are examples of issues I experienced during my visit on 1/17/2026. The food, however, was delicious. We decided to stop at the new Moo Creamery location this Sunday. I have to say it is so beautiful! I will preface by seeing it was their soft launch weekend. I got the chilaquiles and he got the eggs Benedict. I have no picture of my meal, I ate it too fast! Service was amazing even though all the tables were full. It did take quite a bit to get our food, but like I said, this was the soft opening. Our waiter was very apologetic for the delay, but we knew what we signed up for because of the soft opening. 1hr 26 min wait for food and we saw people get sat AND served when they arrived after us. I do think it's because we're a young couple. They rushed our food when it was getting ridiculous and obvious we were going to leave. Gave me the wrong order (order brisket got turkey) and my partner got the PB and B which included oily fries, which were well seasoned but very much visually rushed. The bacon jam was non existent in taste. Overall for an 1hr26min wait our total was 43 dollars. I think if you're an older looking couple you would find this place great because of the bar and selective service. But if you're a young couple go somewhere else or get this food to takeout. As for the taste it's okay the bread for my sandwich was toasted so was the buns for the burger. Moo Creamery is truly a staple in Bakersfield dining, and I'm so excited they're finally opening a downtown location. I've been coming here for years, and the service has always been consistently great. On my most recent visit, I tried the BBQ chicken salad and split an ice cream with a friend--both were excellent. We chose to sit at the bar, which made the experience even better since we got to interact with the staff and our awesome server. The vibe was welcoming and fun. I was there recently at their new location (for the first time) and the food was subpar. They seemed overwhelmed. It was packed - we were there for a late Saturday lunch. Perhaps they can't handle the volume. I ordered what I had ordered many times before, the salmon sandwich, which is usually succulent. This time the fish was dry and the bun was dry, too. Horrible. Came to Moo Creamery for lunch mid-road trip and I was so pleasantly surprised by the variety in their menu! Had a very tasty latte and INCREDIBLE spicy garlic fries to start. The fries were so warm and perfectly cooked and have so much flavor! Today I visited Moo Creamery for the first time at their new downtown location. I've heard about their other locations before, but this was my first time actually dining at one of their restaurants. When I walked in, there was already a line to the door, which I noticed right away. Even with how busy it was, I was seated fairly quickly since I was dining solo. I didn't mind where I was seated and was grateful to get a spot at the bar, especially with every table already taken. Sitting at the bar, I noticed most people were in groups, chatting and enjoying themselves. I was by myself, but that was part of the experience -- it was a solo lunch date, and I showed up for myself (pink outfit and all... pink doesn't have to wait until February). I ordered their signature burger with cheese, a side of fries, and a sweet tea. I noticed the bartender slicing fresh lemons and making drinks in-house, including the sweet tea, which was a nice touch. You could also see large containers of fresh lemonade and tea behind the bar for servers, which made everything feel intentional and fresh. The wait for food was about 40-45 minutes, but considering how busy it was, I didn't mind. I have a background in culinary arts, so I understand how kitchens work during peak times. I spent the time watching football on the large TVs and scrolling on my phone. The bartender was clearly very busy, multitasking with drinks, helping coworkers, and answering questions, yet everything still felt well-managed. I also really liked the interior design -- the colors and layout made the space feel warm and inviting. When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised since I was seated near the kitchen and didn't even see it coming out. The presentation looked great. The fries were crispy and came with a house-made sauce. The burger was moist and flavorful, and one thing that really stood out was the pickles -- I normally don't like pickles, but these were surprisingly good and made me rethink my dislike for them. Service was solid, especially given how busy the restaurant was. After finishing, I paid, tipped, and on my way out grabbed a chocolate chip cookie to go. Went to try out the new location and had high hopes. The food was okay, but we didn't stay for dessert because of what we saw. A male employee who had a long hair weenie dog in their hands walking through the restaurant and petting it while walking around and over peoples tables. The dog wasn't a service dog and the other staff just watched. But to top it off he walked in the kitchen petting his dog. There was plated food out waiting to be served to others where he was petting his dog. So we got our check and left instead of ordering dessert. Won't go back. read more

This was a sad day. We had been looking forward to eating at Moo Creamery all weekend, and we went to celebrate a relative's birthday. We checked in with a party of eight, and they told us it would be a 20-minute wait. We waited the 20 minutes, but we noticed groups who arrived after us being seated before us. When we went inside to ask, they told us it would be another 20-40 minutes on top of what we had already waited. We continued to wait patiently. Forty minutes later, after seeing more parties being seated ahead of us, we asked again, and they told us it would be another hour before we could be seated. They never offered to split our group, which we would have been perfectly fine with. Instead, they continued seating multiple parties of five or six ahead of us. I understand that seating eight people at once can be difficult, but waiting nearly an hour only to be told it would be another hour because "the large party is still eating" was extremely frustrating. I hate to say this, but being the only Hispanic family there while only white families were being seated ahead of us felt a little unsettling. read more

I had lunch here with my teen daughters. Instead of waiting for a table inside, we found a table on the patio and me and the girls felt comfortable right away. We had not visited the new location and decided to give it a try. It was not a good day for Moo. Despite our disappointment, we will go back and try it again. The arrival was great with our server Jessica meeting us right away and introducing herself. We placed our order and things began to unravel. My wife ordered a hot dog and specifically requested No Onions. It arrived loaded with onions and the mustard on top of the onions. After scraping the onions off, she needed a side of mustard to have any at all. We thought it was odd that the hot dog was served well ahead of my burger. I told my wife to eat without me. It would not have mattered as the hot dog was already cold as it arrived to the table or got cold waiting for mustard. Soon the manager would arrive at our table to explain that my burger order had been "lost" and didn't print in the kitchen and therefore it was never delivered to the table. She advised they were starting it now and that it would be delivered as soon as possible. "As soon as possible" meant pulling the meat off the grill early to get it to the table resulting in a raw patty as shown in the photo. That really didn't stop me from eating it because A: I was hungry and B: It had a fabulous flavor, especially the bacon. The manager offered both of us a free dessert due to the delay in the burger. We opted for the Stella Sundae. I regret not taking a photo of it. The description is on the photos. We love the decor of the restaurant. The vibe is lively with very loud music but conversation can be had. While there were a series of errors that resulted in the negative review - the apology was there, the potential is there and every one has an off day. Hope to visit again soon. read more

Stopped into Moo Creamery for dinner with the family. This place does not disappoint. The service is super friendly and the ambience is very nice and has cute decorations throughout the restaurant. Everything we have had at this restaurant restaurant is delicious, not to mention their ice cream. This time we ordered french fries and a dip with homemade potato chips. Both were delicious. Carson was very personable and attentive with us as we sat at the bar area. He seemed to know what was going on at all times which we appreciated. The burgers were juicy and not tough at all topped with unique flavors. The chips on the pb&b burger were crispy and added a nice texture. The mushroom burger was savory and had a great texture and was better than expected! The basil lemonade has high basil flavor and is on the sweeter side but still amazing. The ice creams we were able to sample and the bananarama and salted caramel stole the show.
