Delicious ice cream. Beautiful setting. Sweet town kids working. Negatives is there is always a huge line and difficult to find them open. Sign says 12:00 and 1:00 but no one is ever there to open on time. Guess trying to get here at opening time to get ahead of the crowds is hit or miss. It's a beautiful Saturday and its half hour past their posted opening time. A huge crowd has already formed on their porch with some folks already fed up and going elsewhere. Drove all the way here from NYC to try their ice cream and it was very worth it. I tried the strawberry Oreo and it was amazing. The location for this place is right next to the river so not only do you get to enjoy the sweet ice cream but also the sweet view. Their one scoop is very big so be careful when ordering. Arrived around closing time so found a long line. Luckily we waited and we got in at the last second. The owner, Alexi served us himself the whole staff was tired after a long day. It was really really worth staying we had the almond on a waffle cone and chocolate on a sugar cone . the scoops were very big. The other nice thing about this place was the location with a great view of the Hudson river. There's a little park and a dock out there. I parked the car in the street it was nighttime so it was no problem finding a space. But I can see that during the day it would be very difficult. All I have to say is OMG!!!! Came here after a delightful meal at the Hudson House River Inn. We had a single scoop...it was HUGE!!! I can't imagine what a triple scoop looks like! The ice cream is homemade and tastes amazing!!! I had caramel cashew and it was a little taste of paradise. This will be a favorite summer spot. We'll be back. read more

The ice-cream here is amazing, definitely worth the drive! I love all of their flavors for the most part but their graham cracker/s'mores ice cream is heaven, whatever recipe they have for it is perfection. I usually get the one scoop cone which is more then enough. My husband always gets a milkshakes which sometimes can be hit or miss, depending on which flavor he gets it would have been better in a cup. This place is packed for the season as soon as it opens but the kids really move and groove and keep the line to a steady pace. Then its nice to take your ice-cream to the waterfront and just enjoy the scenery. read more

Our company had a male employee who lives in Garrison having his tonsils removed..... so Ice Cream seemed like a better idea than flowers. I called Moo Moo's and asked Alexi if he knew of a local messenger or delivery service that would deliver ice cream from Moo Moo's to our employee's home. Instead he offered to deliver it himself! It is so refreshing to experience good cusotmer service for a change! He was friendly and obviously went above and beyond to help us out. Thanks Alexi! This is some of the best ice cream I have ever had and I take my ice cream seriously. We were in Cold Springs for the afternoon and were given a tip by a friendly stranger to check out Moo Moo's Creamery and we were not disappointed. Beautiful location along the river! Simply yet charming decore and most importantly - generous scoop servings for very affordable prices with friendly customer service. The ice cream is made fresh daily and you can definitely tell the second in enters your mouth; great flavor and texture and a smorgasbord of choices to choose from. 5 stars...all...damn...day. Moos Moos is my guilty pleasure, its my weakness, im superman and Moos Moos is most definitely my Kryptonite. My wife put me on to this gem when we first started dating and ive been in love ever since(with my wife and Moos Moos). Now im not gonna go into great details on this review like i do on my other, just know, you want good, homemade, amazing ice cream, then moos moos is the go to. Every flavor is expertly crafted, not made but crafted, the toppings are simple, the prices seem high......but you get ALOT of ice cream, like enough to fill you up. And tthe atmoshere, the place is clean, decorated and where else can you grab amazing ice cream and sit on the banks of the hudson staring at the mountains and west point. Huge portions, unique and delicious flavors, and a perfect location right on the hudson river. Moo Moo's doesn't disappoint with their ice cream. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I have heard about some issues with their owner/management. I have always been greeted by friendly high school aged staff so I can't confirm those rumors but I've heard from several different locals that their have been issues. My favorite flavor by far is the S'mores ice cream! Every time I go I always hope they have that flavor but it sells out quickly. On a hot summer day you can expect to wait in line but its worth it! The store is right next to a beautiful park so take a walk and sit on the banks of the Hudson River and enjoy your homemade ice cream. read more

Ok, thought I'd edit my review (Nov 2011) now that I've been there a dozen plus times. The ice cream is still made on the premises, and is still delicious. I still have an irrational need to eat tons of their Peanut Butter Ice Cream. Their Strawberry is one of the best I have every had. Can't go wrong with Coffee, Chocolate or Mint Oreo either. The Pumpkin flavor for fall was surprisingly good, considering I am not even a huge fan of pumpkins. The place is right on the river. They finally got a bit of seating inside, but usually it is better to eat on the porch, or walk 20 whole feet and eat on the pier or in the park, to really take in that lovely river view. read more

We just went there tonight for the first time, and the place was awesome!!! The 3 young boys were very professional. We asked them if they owned it and they told us they are just employees. I got two scoops on a cone and they were very generous with it! There's only a few ice cream spots I saw when I went to Cold Springs and this one caught my eye the most since it's right by the water. It gets really packed mid-afternoon so we had to wait in line for a while but it was definitely worth the wait. Service was okay, although. We were being helped by a guy, told him our order and he told us to hold on and started handling other business with another customer who I guess had to pick up an order? But then he also started doing phone calls and running back & forth to the back. Other employees asked if we were being helped and my bf and I said yes because we assumed he would come back soon but maybe 8-10 minutes later everyone behind us started being helped that I ended up just asking another worker to help us. Eventually he came back to us but we were already being helped. It wasn't the biggest deal since I understand it was really busy that day. Nonetheless ice cream was great read more

My favorite ice cream place. We drive over an hour to get here for the ice cream; it's worth every second of the journey!!! The ice cream is wonderfully creamy, and the flavors are fantastic and fresh. My favorite is Strawberry Oreo, but I also love their Blueberry, Spiced Apple, Golden Oreo...and many, many more! The service is also really great there, and you can't be the location. Grab a cone or cup of ice cream and walk across the street to eat it on the banks of the Hudson River. Their flavors change daily--which is great for variety and also reassuring you that they make their ice cream fresh every day!--so I recommend "liking" them on Facebook so you can see their flavors each day before you go. Side note: My fiance actually proposed to me with the help of this place--he contacted them in advance to ask them to make my favorite flavors, and while I was grabbing a seat with a view outside, the workers inside were busy hiding my engagement ring (in a little plastic baggie) under a MOUNTAIN of delicious ice cream. We always loved this store, and I'm so glad the owner and workers were kind enough to help my fiance make the store even more special for us. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT ! I think the business has changed hands. I was surprised to see them weighing the cup after filling it. The big chunks of cherries in the cherry vanilla are gone, no pieces of candy in the heath bar crunch and the creamy delicious flavor, not there. No longer worth the drive, DQ blizzards are much better. All good things come to an end, I expect to see another abandoned storefront next year. read more

Hugggeeee line, on the 4th of July weekend but good Ice cream. They give you good portions and friendly service. The prices are pretty good considering the portions. They also have a good number of options. I have the almond fudge, which was really good. The little one seemed very content with the chocolate chip. read more
